Cannes, Montecarlo, Genova e Fort Lauderdale, il Gruppo Ferretti ha presentato alcuni tra i suoi modelli più nuovi e ricercati, dall’eleganza e raffinatezza che ben esprimono il carattere del Gruppo.

ments, grandi installazioni che abbagliano per l’immenso potere

visivo, Kusama è un’artista poliedrica come la rassegna a lei de-

dicata: una sequenza collegata di stanze, ciascuna riservata alla nascita, nell’artista, di un nuovo approccio alla realtà. Come gran parte della sua arte, i lavori in mostra alla Tate rivelano un’intensità complessa e allucinatoria: un esempio è Infinity net, serie di

tele ripetute all’infinito realizzate quando Kusama era l’epicentro

della scena artistica di New York. La mostra comprende anche

una significativa selezione delle sculture più note, tratte dalle serie

Sex Obsession e Food Obsession, realizzate attraverso una tecnica

particolare che finì per influenzare personaggi come Andy Warhol e Claus Oldenburg. Dall’arte più “classica” Kusama si è poi spostata verso una maggiore dinamicità: in Kusama Self-Obliteration,

The brand’s historic fleet keeps seducing, with its mix of style and technology

011 has been a very important year for Riva, through

the bow. The yacht incorporates Riva’s traditional lines; with ma-

tantly, its outstanding presence, during the nautical sea-

restyling of some of the brand’s most celebrated models, following

A prime example is Rivarama Super, with its beautiful hand-made finishing, rightfully inherited from its predecessor, nicknamed the “floating suite”. This new yacht offers an owners suite, with all

the comfort of a five-star hotel. Apart from the spacious aft sundeck, the new Super version features a second sundeck towards

hogany wood prominently showcased above deck. The interior defurniture and walls embellished in leather. Also Rivarama Super’s

performance is outstanding, with a top speed of 41 knots and a cruising speed of 36 knots.

The new 75’ Venere Super is sinuous and soft like the goddess

whose name it bears, with enhancements that offer the highest comfort and livability. The fly bridge sofa can seat up to six people,

while the swim platform towards the aft, opens as an ideal area

for free time and water sports. The large hull windowing provides a special view from the water level and brightens up the owner’s and guest’s cabins. Inside, the use of decapé oak wood with leather

details, the use of white lacquer, and the new oak colors, make the rooms even more elegant and refined. The 75’ Venere Super cruising speed is 28 knots and peaks at 31.5 knots.

On the other hand, the striking features of the 68’ Ego Super are carefully designed in contrast between the coal-colored hull and its desert sand colored superstructure. The large window in the

owner’s suite brightens up the interiors and provides a pleasant panoramic view. Also attractive is the 86’ Domino, with its

enhanced, soften, smooth lines. The new optional version of the model is offered in a Grey Sand color that covers the hull and the deckhouse in a stylish and discreet fashion. Inside, special tones of

the Canaletto walnut wood goes together with leather panels and white lacquering, which creates for a comfortable environment, making every inch of the vessel usable and stylish.

Significant improvements were also made to the 92’ Duchessa,

which kept its traditional and harmonious lines. The enhanced model features an owner’s suite with two new windows that il75’ Venere Super

luminate the entire suite and includes independent access from the upper deck.

The new Riva yachts, created by Officina Italiana Design in collaboration with AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, and the Centro Stile

Ferrettigroup architect and designer team, are a skilful combina-

tion between pure well-established beauty and the most advanced modern technologies.

prua. L’imbarcazione si caratterizza per linee classiche, con un uso importante del legno anche sulla coperta, interamente rivestita in

he name Andrea Bocelli is well-known worldwide; he

about nothing but music”, said Bocelli. He was born with a visual handicap and an accident at the age of twelve made him totally

blind. And even though he still feels uncomfortable talking about

the subject, he was able to overcome the misfortune with true

determination. Bocelli’s mother, a devout catholic, took him to the Lourdes catholic church and when she later asked him whether he had prayed to regain his sight, Bocelli said no, he had only asked

for serenity. It was this great will power that made him the most

successful opera singer of his generation with over 70 million albums sold, even more than Luciano Pavarotti, who was the first to acknowledge his talent as a tenor.

As a child Bocelli was lively and impulsive and he certainly never prevented his visual impairment from expressing his character.

He was always a person who enjoyed sports, riding a bicycle and the horse that his father bought for him. As he grew up, he took up boxing, skiing, surfing, and windsurfing. The mountains, like

the sea, have always been two of his greatest passions. Today, at

the age of 53, we asked, does he still enjoy taking risks? “No, no,

today I do not like to take risks. When I was young it was different; on one occasion I even tried parachuting, today I fear this

could lead me to breaking a few of my bones”, said Bocelli. “My

But I try to pass it on without imposing it, making sure that they become enthusiastic about it. Discipline needs to be taught

through dialogue, you have to talk a lot with your children,” added Bocelli. The world revolving around Andrea Bocelli seems to be

characterized by protection, his family, his staff, and everyone smothers him with attention. It is, however, a genuine and spon-

taneous attitude, by which he does not feel intimidated at all; it is a natural characteristic of the relationships around him.

In spite of the attention he receives on a daily basis, Bocelli has been able to remain humble, which has become a distinctive trait in his character. “Anyone who has received as much from life as I have, should always be aware that part of the credit for such good

fortune goes to those who have always been near him. I am aware

that I should be giving something back, not only in the form of money, but first of all as love because love is the most precious thing I ever received” said the singer. “I like to think of the body

as a shell which can contain many different things. If you put valuable things inside it, it is easier to be modest persons. The rest is mere vanity. As a man I have my weaknesses and my points of strength; it is up to the others to judge them” added Bocelli.

lanciato col paracadute, oggi credo che potrei rompermi qualche osso”, osserva Bocelli. “La mia passione per l’equitazione è rima-

sta, ho un nuovo bellissimo cavallo, ma oggi sono senza dubbio più giudizioso”. Ciò che lo ha spinto a limitare la sua esuberanza

è stata sicuramente la paternità: “Ero molto vivace, ma ora che ho dei figli non vorrei che si comportassero come facevo io alla loro età. Preferisco che siano più prudenti, quindi devo dare loro il

giusto esempio. E per ora sì, sembra che funzioni”. Amos, 16 anni,

dopo giorno, Bocelli ha saputo mantenere una grande umiltà, che è diventata un tratto distintivo del suo carattere. “Se qualcuno ha

ricevuto così tanto nella vita, come è successo a me, deve tenere sempre presente che parte del merito di quella fortuna è anche di

on board the new CRN Navetta 43 Lady Trudy, presented as

At 43 metres long and 8.6 wide, the majestic Lady Trudy is a

displacement vessel with bulb, made of composite material, with a grey “pearl effect” hull. Its large volumes and extended open air spaces allow for maximum comfort; this also applies to navigation

on this pleasure yacht with full range MCA certification which can also cruise on transatlantic routes and is driven by twin C32-C

Caterpillar engines with a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots.

Large open-air spaces characterise the exterior of the Navetta 43,

where the aft deck and sundeck are enhanced by their marine

decor: white and red for the main deck, blue and white for the upper deck, beige and red for the sun deck.

Moreover the sun deck features a touch-and-go helipad, a central living area and large sunbathing area with a Jacuzzi tub in the centre towards the bow and a semi-circle of sofas.

The interiors, finely furnished, are an outstanding expression of the “Hamptons” colonial atmosphere in America.

reflect the yacht owner’s feelings and the desire to be surrounded

The owner’s suite, on the main deck, is extremely bright, totally

white, and dominated in the middle by a large canopy bed made

of mahogany for a contrasting effect. There are two owner’s bathrooms: one for the lady, with a bathtub, and one for the gentleman, with a shower. In perfect CRN style, the balcony can also be used during navigation, with its coffee table and breakfast sofas.

The four guest cabins, all on the lower deck, are each inspired

by a different location on the north Atlantic coast, with different

dominant colours: the VIP cabin, “Newport”, is all in yellow, the

“Cape Cod” cabin is green, the “Mystic” guest cabin is characterised by red, and finally, the “Nantucket” is blue. The bed head-

boards in the guest cabins are covered with marine printed fabric designed by Ralph Lauren.

The living areas are extremely evocative. The main salon with mahogany floors and furniture offers maximum hospitality thanks to its discreet but elegant colonial-style furnishing. The adjacent din-

ing room, furnished with a stylish table resting on two basements with capitals and columns, is enhanced by two large bookcases and Venetian blinds made of white ash wood.

The galley, in perfect American style, also made of white ash wood, further enhances the atmosphere.

In the panoramic salon, on the upper deck, you can still breathe in the stars and stripes atmosphere. A skylounge with large win-

dows gives a warm feeling to this salon with three different areas:

the lounge area with a large L-shaped sofa made to measure with

Ralph Lauren fabrics, the game area with a square table, a peninsula bar table creating a perfect setting to relax in company.

The yacht is also equipped with by “myOlos”, the innovative entertainment, info and domotics integrated system – created by a part-

in navigazione per questa nave da diporto con certificazione full range MCA che può navigare anche su rotte transatlantiche ed è

spinta da due motori Caterpillar C32-C per una velocità massima di 15,5 nodi e una di crociera di 13 nodi.

Grandi spazi all’aperto caratterizzano gli esterni di questa Navetta

43, i cui pozzetti ed il ponte sole sono esaltati da un decor nei temi

marini: colori bianco e rosso per il ponte di coperta, blu e bianco per il ponte superiore, beige e rosso per il ponte sole.

Il sun deck, inoltre, ha la pista di atterraggio per il touch-and-go dell’elicottero, con zona living centrale e grande zona prendisole con vasca Jacuzzi centrale verso prua e divani a semi cerchio.

Gli interni, finemente arredati, rappresentano la massima espressione dell’atmosfera coloniale americana degli “Hamptons”.

Pensata come una vera casa, accogliente e intima, gli interiors

raccontano il sentimento dell’armatore che porta con sé il suo mondo. Essenza in mogano per i saloni e gli spazi in comune e frassino bianco per la suite armatoriale e le cabine ospiti.

La suite armatoriale, sul ponte principale, è estremamente lumi-

baldacchino in mogano a contrasto; due sono i bagni armatoriali: CRN il terrazzino godibile anche durante la navigazione, allestito con coffee table e poltroncine per la colazione.

Le quattro cabine ospiti, tutte nel ponte inferiore, si ispirano ognuna a una diversa località della costa nord Atlantica, con diffe-

renti colori dominanti: la cabina vip, “Newport”, è tutta sui toni del giallo, la cabina “Cape Cod” sul verde, la cabina ospiti “Mystic” è

contraddistinta dal rosso e, infine, la “Nantucket” dal blu. Le para-

tie testaletto delle cabine ospiti sono rivestite con tessuti sui temi marini disegnate da Ralph Lauren. Le zone living sono molto evo-

cative. Il salone principale con pavimenti e arredi in mogano offre la massima ospitalità grazie ad un arredo in stile coloniale sobrio, ma elegante. La sala da pranzo attigua, arredata con un ricercato

tavolo che poggia su due basamenti con capitelli e colonne, si apre attraverso due grandi librerie e veneziane in frassino bianco.

La cucina, in perfetto stile americano, sempre in frassino bianco, valorizza ulteriormente l’atmosfera.

Nel salone panoramico, sul ponte superiore, si continua a respi-

rare l’atmosfera a stelle e strisce. Skylounge con grandi vetrate che riscaldano l’ambiente caratterizzato da tre zone: la zona

lounge con un grande divano a L realizzato su misura con tessuti Ralph Lauren, zona da gioco con tavolo quadrato e un tavolo bar

a penisola, creando così la zona perfetta per il relax in compagnia.

L’imbarcazione è inoltre supportata dal “myOlos”, l’innovativo sistema integrato di entertainment, info e domotica - nato dalla

partnership tra CRN, Videoworks e Intel - con cui è possibile ge-

Keeping the traditional elements of brand unaltered, the Itama 45’

is characterized by important structural and design innovations.

This is perfectly exemplified in the stern, characterized by a revised transom inclination in order to obtain more dynamic external

lines, as well as by the retractable telescopic gangway, integrated in the hull and the beach platform, which can be lowered into the water to launch and haul the tender.

Below deck, the elegance of the white interiors immediately be-

comes apparent with the painted wood, blinds and teak floors that create a contrast with the blue platform. The spaces become

more luminous, thanks to the wider and stylistically advanced windows. The Itama 45’ is also characterized by better usability of the

spaces: the new craft can be ordered with one or two guest cabins, for livability meeting any requirement by the yacht owner, whose cabin, at the bow, is fitted with a central double bed.

touch of the Itama Forty and of the model which made

the brand’s history, the Itama 38’.

Designed by the architect Marco Casali, in close collaboration with AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, the Group’s naval research

and design centre, and by the architect and designer team at Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, the new yacht, more than 13 meters long,

is a restyled version of her illustrious predecessors and includes enhancements to her interiors volumes that maximizing space.

The final result meets the expectations. The new Itama 45’ per-

fectly expresses the brand’s DNA: timeless charm, sporty nature, Made-in-Italy style and strong connection with the sea. The sleek appearance reflects the typical style of the shipyard, as does the

22 degree deep V shaped hull which, along with the thrust of the twin Cummins 480 CV engines, guarantees maximum sea-

tional publication dedicated to champagne and the only recognized authority in the industry, revealed its ranking of

the “100 Best Champagnes in 2011”. The winner, both in the semi-final and in the final, was

Piper-Heidsieck Rare 2002, as a superbly still and vibrant vintage champagne. “Since 1976, the Maison only produced eight years of Rare”,

commented Régis Camus, chef de caves for the

the touch screen management of controls, utilities, services, and

alarms. The Navetta 33 Crescendo is fitted with twin MAN V12 Common Rail 1400 mhp and 2100 rpm engines or, on request, with twin MAN V12 1550 mhp engines, for a top speed of 17

and 20 knots respectively. The semi-displacement keel allows for long-range navigation with the greatest comfort, also complemented by three Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilizers, which reduce normal rolling by more than 50%.

The winter months are the ideal time to prepare for a new season

t is often said that the sun is bad for the skin and is a health hazard. However, this does not seem to apply to sailors or

anyone who is used to UV rays, which seem to be less prone

to sunburn and melanoma. In other words, the danger is not

the sun itself but a specific type of exposure to its rays, in par-

ticular for those people who live in the city all year long and are exposed to the sun for short, but intense periods of time. The vital regimen to follow includes avoiding sunbathing in the central

hours of the day and making sure to use proper applications of sun block, especially if you have fair hair and light-colored eyes.

What can be done during the winter to keep skin healthy and

prepare it for the return of the summer? First of all, plenty of care and attention, especially if what you are looking for is a de-

sirable, balanced and healthy tan. What is even more important is prevention, today we all know that skin cancer and melanoma can develop in healthy skin or from the transformation of a pre-

existing mole, but thanks to new technologies early treatment is becoming easier by the day: “watch the moles” is a very direct and catchy slogan.

An example of this is the skin diagnostic surgery organized by Dr. Alessandro Testori, Director of the Melanoma and Muscle-Cutane-

ous Sarcoma Division at the IEO, European Oncology Institute, in Milan. The prevention work done by this research center is based

on “mapping” the patient’s skin surface to acquire high-resolution

images and pinpoint any cutaneous change, even if microscopic.

According to Dr. Testori: “the skin needs to be protected against burns and ageing. The sun causes it to become less elastic and makes us look older; it can also be responsible for other types

of skin cancer, which is why it is necessary to regularly check the appearance of your moles, either on your own or by asking a dermatologist once a year”.

Dr. Testori’s system for checking the derma is innovative in all respects; he even makes consultations and evaluations available for patients, through an internet software, which allows to upload

images of their moles taken with a cellular phone, have them analyzed by specialists at the center, and then classified depending on the various alert degrees.

i dice spesso che il sole faccia male alla pelle e sia un pericolo per la salute, eppure questo sembra non valere

per i marinai. E non solo per loro: chiunque sia abituato ai raggi UVA, infatti, registra una minor incidenza di scot-

tature e melanoma. Non è il sole, dunque, a risultare dannoso, quanto la particolare esposizione ai suoi raggi di chi vive tutto

l’anno in città e vi si espone solo per brevi, ma intensi periodi. Re-

gole fondamentali sono evitare l’abbronzatura negli orari centrali del giorno e proteggersi con creme solari, soprattutto se occhi e capelli sono chiari.

E d’inverno, cosa si può fare per mantenere la pelle sana e prepararla al ritorno del caldo? Anzitutto, tante cure e attenzioni,

soprattutto se si desidera un’abbronzatura invidiabile, uniforme e

salutare. Poi, ancora più importante, la prevenzione: oggi è noto che malattie e melanoma insorgono da cute sana o per trasforma-

zione di un neo preesistente, ma con le nuove tecnologie interve-

nire nelle prime fasi è ogni giorno più semplice: “occhio ai nei” è uno slogan, molto diretto e semplice da ricordare.

Un esempio è l’ambulatorio di diagnostica cutanea organizzato dal Dott. Alessandro Testori, Direttore della Divisione Melanomi e

Sarcomi Muscolo Cutanei allo IEO, Istituto Europeo di Oncologia di Milano. Un centro di ricerca che fa prevenzione “mappando”

la superficie corporea del paziente per acquisire immagini ad alta risoluzione della pelle e individuarne qualsiasi cambiamento, anche microscopico. Secondo il Dott. Testori “la pelle va protetta contro le scottature e l’invecchiamento. Il sole fa perdere elasticità

e invecchia la nostra immagine, inoltre è tra i colpevoli dell’insorgenza di altri tipi di tumori cutanei, ecco perché è necessario con-

trollare periodicamente sia l’aspetto dei propri nei che della pelle, in modo autonomo e consultando il dermatologo annualmente”.

the Ferretti Group organized a charity event in favor of

the “Progetto Accoglienza” of the Gaslini, a pediatric hos-

pital in Genoa, to raise funds for young patients and their

families. Charity on Board is aimed at supporting an initiative,

which believes in receiving patients before treating them, through physical and personal care, as well as in a relational, linguistic and spiritual approach.

The event, organized together with the partners Bulgari, GlobeAir,

Maserati and Principe Corsini, was preceded by the official pres-

entation of the Pro Recco water polo team, the world champions who then participated, with friends and co-workers of the Ferretti Group, in the charity event.

Yacht Show which, like every year, was held in the wonderful setting of Port Hercule, exclusively dedicated to yachts at least 25

meters long. The luxury yachting showcase welcomed more than 28,000 visitors on a surface over 22,000 sq. mt. With its brands

Ferretti Custom Line and CRN, the Ferretti Group exhibited the new Ferretti Custom Line 124’ model and, thanks to the broker Camper & Nicholson, the 60m CRN 126 “Blue Eyes”, two excellent expressions of the “custom” concept which were much admired

yachts, with five prestigious premieres: the long-awaited

Riva 86’ Domino, Ferretti 720 and Bertram 64’, all new arrivals in the American market. Prestigious vessels fascinated guests,

during one of the largest yachting exhibitions worldwide and highlighted the numerous activities within the Group, in the PanAmerican region.

The Group has strengthened its organizational structure in North America and developed its dealer network in order to provide its customers with increasingly efficient service. The large hub in Fort Lauderdale is exactly the place where the main operations
