birthday and the 50th anniversary of Aquarama. The brand has seized this opportunity to launch a new model, the 63’ Virtus,

the largest open yacht ever crafted. The past is being celebrated

in the only way possible, for those who have innovation in their DNA, building the future.

in tutta la sua bellezza. Eppure estate non significa solo spensie-

ratezza, anzi. Per il Gruppo Ferretti rappresenta sempre un fondaal meglio l’anno nautico in corso e al contempo si lavora già al

nuovo, che inizia a settembre. La direzione, tuttavia, è sempre la stessa: una crescita costante che ha nell’innovazione il proprio potente motore.

passato e futuro iniziando il trasferimento verso la nuova sede produttiva, il modernissimo stabilimento di Merrit Island. Per cre-

n a few years’ time the Saadiyat Island cultural district in Abu Dhabi will become known as one of the greatest catalysts for

the art world, unique in terms of size, class and ambition. The

Being the result of an “intentionally unity” creative project, in the words of Gehry himself, the Museum is characterized by ten large

cone-shaped structures – one being the entrance – which stretch out to sea. It puts you in mind of those ancient symbols of Persian

architecture, the “wind towers”, reinterpreted by the Canadian artist – already author of the Guggenheim in Bilbao – carefully balancing Arab tradition and modern design.

chitettura sperimentale il proprio segno distintivo. Chiaramente l’ultimo nato non sarà da meno, e con un’estensione di 87.000 mq

diventerà il più grande esemplare della fondazione, una potente calamita di arte moderna internazionale con un focus particolare sul Medio Oriente.

Frutto di un processo creativo “intenzionalmente disordinato”, come lo descrive lo stesso Gehry, il museo si contraddistingue per dieci grandi coni – uno funge da ingresso – che si allungano a

salon with a U-shaped lounge and plenty of additional and functional storage spaces designed specifically for rods and provisions.

The galley is fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and

fixtures, and is large enough for two people to work together com-

fortably – something that is often overlooked in standard sport fish designs. The spacious 202 Sq. foot cockpit is equipped with all

the features you will need to land the big one in style. Three large

fish boxes are located in the cockpit floor and a mezzanine that features tackle drawers, refrigerator/freezers, a large engine room door, and ample seating space makes fishing or cruising enjoyable

for the whole family. Also available is the optional pressurized bait tank with a see-through window and light in the transom.

The fly bridge showcases spacious and comfortable U-shaped seating – larger than that offered by competitors – a large console area for electronics, increased storage and freezer/refrigerator

options and truly presents an ideal vantage point for view of the bait spread. Even the roomy, well conceived engine room provides

sense of welcome and space for easy maintenance, with a full beam single fuel tank residing aft of the master providing addi-

located right on your iPhone. The Bertram 64 comes equipped with a Maretron Monitoring System that remotely controls and monitors all AC and DC power distribution throughout the boat.

The innovative technology is capable of providing complete ves-

sel status using a standard NMEA 2000 network with extensive monitoring capabilities, which extends to regulate the bilge areas,

tank levels, battery and even engine and generator status among many other systems.

The Bertram 64, designed in collaboration with Studio Zuccon

International Project, Ferretti Group’s AYT (Advanced Yacht Tech-

nology) and Centro Stile Ferretti Group, has been created for its intended use and outperforms other sport-fishermen of similar size.

It is equipped with CAT C-32 ACERT engines powered at 1925 hp

each. Surmounting other sport-fishing boats of this category, its optimum power and control will thrust this new model through the toughest waters as it relies heavily upon solid construction,

Riva 63’ Virtus ha quindi chiuso la parata degli Aquarama, orga-

nizzata a Montecarlo da Monaco Boat Service, storico dealer Riva nel Principato, per ricordare i 50 anni del modello. Nella mattinata di lunedì 2 luglio, infine, presso lo Yacht Club di Monaco, Riva 63’ Virtus è stato ufficialmente presentato alla stampa.

Tanti indimenticabili appuntamenti – tra i quali va ricordato anche

il “Riva Trophy”, la competizione annuale riservata agli armatori Riva e organizzata da Monaco Boat Service, che si è svolta tra

Leopold Cavalli, Visionnaire’s CEO, does not rule out the possibility

of a bespoke service on scheduled flights. The service will be first class, to be sure.

Despite the majestic proportions, CRN no. 128 interprets simplic-

ity in the name of an exquisitely sophisticated taste: instead of the standard steel hand rails, wide windows outline external walkways on the sun deck; the integrated bridge is state-of-the-art and the console reduces equipment in plain view to a minimum.

On the lower deck, the stern is integrated in an area decorated as a real “beach club”: the stern door can be transformed in a small beach right on the water surface, with comfortable sun loungers so that the area can also be enjoyed as a solarium. Behind this, the spacious indoors are dedicated to guests relax time, while the

stem lounge is decorated with white veneered Twalegh Marotte wood panels.

The boat can host up to twelve people: the owner full beam suite

is located in the stem, along the main deck, while the six VIP and guest rooms are located in the lower deck (four) and in the upper deck (two). In the owner suite, the walls are lined with Loro Piana

fabrics and the floors are dyed in maple wood with fine handmade Tai Ping carpets. Here too, the suite has a wonderful terrace, built

Thanks to the environments which are carefully separated, the

lower deck – with crew mess and cabins – is entirely dedicated to the fifteen members of the crew. As usual, the captain is accommodated in a cabin in the upper deck, near the ample bridge.

The typical customizable layout – indoor and outdoor – and decorations by the interior designer Laura Sessa Romboli is the direct

expression of the owner’s character, perfectly interpreted by a

boat with a refined “marine personality”, where nature’s colours merge in harmony. Dyed maple wood is the essence of the inte-

riors: lounge areas, salons, owner’s suite and guest cabins. In the

main salon, bulkheads and bulwarks are decorated with Twalegh Marotte wood panels and wide hand-decorated panels with a marine theme. Aboard the CRN no. 128 even technological equipment is imposing: the bridge is entirely built with “ibridge”, an

integrated bridge where all functions are controlled through four

touch-screen panels and displayed on 5 monitors. Behind the stern lounge area, the wide garage hosts two 7.5 mt Castoldi tenders

with electro-hydraulic side opening and the engine room with an

adjoining control room. The 60-metre CRN no. 128 is powered by two Caterpillar 3512B engines allowing a cruising speed of 14

knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots. The vessel belongs to the top class in Lloyd’s Register of Shipping and is compliant with MCA - LY2 regulations.

zione degli interni, il megayacht CRN no. 128 60 metri

è un’imbarcazione imponente ma raffinata, che si caratterizza per lo scafo in acciaio con sovrastruttura in alluminio, una prua slan-

ciata e ampi spazi per vivere il mare in prima persona. Il colore “snow white” scelto per scafo e sovrastruttura è impreziosito da finiture esterne specchiate che donano al layout esterno una luce morbida ed elegante. Nonostante le maestose proporzioni, CRN

no. 128 interpreta la semplicità all’insegna del gusto più raffinato:

in quest’ottica, ampie vetrate delineano i camminamenti esterni sul sun deck al posto dei consueti corrimani in acciaio, la plancia integrata è di ultima generazione e la consolle riduce al minimo

La caratteristica personalizzazione del layout – interno ed esterno

The shipyard conducted careful design work, with a view to producing a yacht with eye-catching aesthetics and cutting-edge fea-

tures inlcuding the exterior lines, designed to highlight the hull’s power with a very high bow and strongly curved profile. The new carbon fiber and glass windshield is almost 26 meters long, with a

cabin with three twin birth; all with en suite heads. The dinette is

very large and can comfortably include a bar, while the owner’s cabin bathroom is divided in two sections, toilet and shower area; the latter has a glass door decorated with mosaic tiling based on the ship owner’s requests.

The Itama 75’ is therefore a craft that can offer even the most demanding open yacht lover a profoundly luxurious and innovative experience. The glamour of classic style is combined here with the

high performances guaranteed by two MTU 1823 hp engines with

Il cantiere ha portato avanti un minuzioso lavoro di design con lo

scopo di realizzare un’imbarcazione dall’estetica vincente e contemporanea: esternamente, la linea è disegnata per esaltare le doti

di potenza dello scafo con una prua molto alta e una forte curvatura del profilo.

Il nuovo parabrezza, in carbonio e cristallo, vanta un’estensione complessiva di quasi 26 metri e frontalmente è dotato di una

grande apertura frontale a scomparsa con movimento a pantografo, che mette direttamente in comunicazione pozzetto e pren-

disole di prua. L’uso del carbonio permette inoltre di risparmiare

garantite dalla struttura scorrevole dell’avantop, che permette di

ized audio and video system, controlled with remote “touch panel” with AMX technology, is integrated in the “Kaleidoscope” system

to save music and DVD files. The system controls lights, electric blinds, air conditioning and closed circuit cameras. There is also an onboard parameter monitoring system to check, amongst other

functions, for open port-holes and external doors, batteries voltage level and smoke detectors.

Equipped with two MTU diesel engines – totaling 7400 hp com-

bined to the applied propulsion of two Kamewa Rolls Royce waterjets – the Pershing 115’ can reach a maximum speed of 38 knots

without gas turbine and a maximum speed of 52 knots when the gas turbine is inserted.

The main characteristic of this megayacht is the presence of a

Vericor TF50 gas turbine, used in the aeronautical industry, which can develop a power of over 5100 hp with central water-jet propulsion. Besides the turbine, the turbine system consists of a titanium gas exhaust pipe and of an adaptor. Silence and absence of vibrations can also be appreciated at maximum speed.

Aboard, there are four guest cabins illuminated by wide frameless hull glazing and the two VIP cabins are located at the stern. At

the bow, there are the two cabins with sliding twin beds which can be turned in a queen-size bed. All cabins have a private bathroom with separate shower.

However, the upper deck is where the yacht shows all its style,

thanks to the new lounge zone concept: an area entirely dedicated to relax, with the utmost attention to details and a living area with

a view to experience the sea from a privileged position and a spacious conversation and entertainment area.

The glass door opens on towards the exterior into an outdoor,

cockpit decorated with a custom-made dining table for 10-12 people and a fully-equipped barbecue area. Towards the stern there is a large central sun deck with a Jacuzzi surrounded by chairs on the

border; at the extremities of the stern there is a completely hidden

davit equipped with crank-case, integrated in a sun deck, handling the tender and water motor parked in the garage. At the bow, the

lounge area leaves the floor to the cockpit, with a sofa and a mapping area, while outdoors, on both bridge wings, and helm stations make manoeuvring easier.

A second sailing station is located on the sun deck. Behind it, there is the sunbathing area with a large sun deck, one of many aboard

this vessel dedicated to open-air relax. The other areas, just as spacious and comfortable, are situated in the deck house, at the bow

and on the main deck, where there is an area for relaxation with a sofa and a garage underneath for a small service tender.

The boat performance is excellent, due to the two MTU 3184 mhp

or 3510 mhp. The most powerful engine can reach a cruising speed of 23.5 knots and a maximum speed of 27 knots. Cutting-

edge solutions were designed for onboard safety and comfort, such as the Furla.Net monitoring and control system and four Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilizers – exclusively installed on many boats of the Ferretti Group – which can reduce boat rolling by over 50 percent.

On the Custom Line 124’ hull 3 everything is innovative: indoor

and outdoor design and technology as well. At the owner’s request,

an innovative integrated audio-video and gaming system, the myOlos designed with Videoworks by the technical center in collaboration with Intel, can be installed onboard of the yacht. It can control

all entertaining functions from an iPad, including audio, photos and on-demand videos, air conditioning, lights, blinds, TV sitch

jet ski can be housed on the stern spoiler. The external steering position, raised to guarantee excellent visibility, is located at bow with a spacious sundeck.

Inside the Ferretti 720 is spacious and brightly lit. The large salon uses the width of the hull – almost six metres – to offer a warm and welcoming environment divided into living and dining areas.

Continuing along the salon, an access area leads to the galley on

the left, communicating with the helm station – ensuring perfect

visibility – by means of a sliding crystal door to the bow. To the right of the galley there is a comfortable dinette.

On the lower deck the night area is characterized by comfort and

The interior furnishing is a result of modern and stylish choices, characterized by the coherence of styles between the different areas of the yacht. Grey oak is chosen for all furniture, while all the details themselves are in a “brown-grey” lacquering.

At sea the yacht always stands out for her ease of handling thanks to the ZF SteerCommand found in all Ferretti Yachts, a system

developed by ZF Marine which features independent steering and a differentiated variable assistance in turning which allows for a turning diameter reduced by half and for control of reactivity, lead-

ing to a runabout experience which was previously unthinkable on a 72 footer.

Ease of steering is completed through ZF’s innovative Joystick Ma-

noeuvering System (JMS) which can be fitted on request, electronically controlling engines, inverters and bow thrusters. This greatly simplifies most manoeuvres. Performance is also top of the range

as the Ferretti 720 is fitted with twin 1381 mhp MTU 10V 2000 M 92 engines as standard or, as optional, 1524 mhp MTU 10V

2000 M 93 engine. With the larger engine the yacht can reach a top speed of 33.5 knots and a cruise speed of 30.

Il pozzetto è ampio e accoglie comodamente fino a 8 -10 ospiti. Nel

flying bridge è situato un ampio dining con tavolo a U, zona grill e

frigorifero. La gruetta permette l’alloggiamento del tender a cui è riservato spazio sul fly, mentre sullo spoiler di poppa può essere

posizionato un jet ski. A prua si trovano la postazione di guida esterna – in posizione rialzata per garantire massima visibilità – e uno spazioso prendisole.

All’interno del Ferretti 720 i volumi sono ampi e luminosi: il grande salone sfrutta la larghezza dello scafo – quasi sei metri – per offrire

un ambiente caldo e accogliente suddiviso in zona living e dining.

Proseguendo, un disimpegno dà accesso sulla sinistra alla cucina attrezzata, che comunica con la plancia di comando – caratterizzata

dalla massima visibilità – attraverso una porta scorrevole a prua.

A destra della cucina è posizionata, invece, una comoda dinette.

Nel lower deck la zona notte si distingue per comfort e abitabi-

gode del baglio massimo ed è illuminata da grandi finestre open

mentre il laccato “brown-grey” è ampiamente utilizzato in tutti i dettagli. In mare l’imbarcazione continua a distinguersi per l’ele-

vata manovrabilità garantita dal ZF SteerCommand for Ferretti, sistema sviluppato da ZF Marine che grazie a timoni indipendenti

e virata differenziata ad assistenza variabile permette di dimezzare il diametro di virata e la reattività ai comandi, fornendo così emozioni da runabout altrimenti impensabili su uno yacht da 72 piedi.

Il comfort di guida viene massimizzato dal Joystick Manoeuvering System (JMS) di ZF, innovativo sistema integrabile su richiesta,

che controlla elettronicamente motori, invertitori e bow thruster semplificando notevolmente la maggior parte delle manovre.

Anche le prestazioni non sono da meno: Ferretti 720 monta due

motori MTU 10V 2000 M 92 con una potenza di 1381 mhp come soluzione standard o una motorizzazione opzionale MTU 10V

largest open yacht produced by the Riva shipyard.

A result of the collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, and the architect and designer team

at Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, the 63’ Virtus has been designed as a sporty yacht, created for owners wishing to experience the sea first hand.

Drawing on the success of earlier models – specifically the Vertigo and Rivale – this streamlined craft featuring a typical Mediterra-

nean style that reinterprets the open yacht style and guarantees excellent livability and total on-board comfort.

The harmonious and sleek profile is further enhanced by the large arrow-shaped windows, which have made so many other brand models successful, and excellent natural lighting below deck.

The exteriors feature spacious areas which enable owners to enjoy the yacht in the company of their guests, due to the two large

sundecks, one at bow and one astern, under which the garage for the tender is located. In the helm area the driving seat consists of a

three seater sofa, for shared yachting pleasure, and the large windshield with a double curve that ensures comfort while cruising.

The cockpit is spacious and comfortable, covered with an electro-

Rolla has been able to build a solid reputation also in pleasure yachting industry, by guaranteeing engineering skills and levels of experience that are out of the ordinary, especially as far as speed is concerned.

Ever since the 1970s, Rolla has created Arneson propellers for

surface transmissions, which are suitable for creating crafts with

a cruising speed of at least 40 knots that guarantee propelling

efficiency thanks to the absence of appendages and cavity. This special type of propulsion, where propellers are semi-submerged,

required the development of a totally different formula compared to traditional propellers, which was obtained due to a curved exit

border on the front, to improve thrust and allow for ventilation at the back. In 1970 Rolla completed the first tests in the cavity tun-

nel in Berlin and, adopting an engineering approach, managed to start industrial production of the surface propeller. Then, in 1995,

the company introduced CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics - in

Our journey starts softly, with fin-

The protagonist of this original al-

liance between haute cuisine and yachting is the Dolphin 74’ Cruiser, on-board of which Rugiati presented,

and personally cooked, dishes inspired by the Ferretti Group in front of an audience of Italian journalists.

The lively colors of the hulls, at-

tention to details and a distinctive personality, are just some of the

elements that prompted the Mochi

Craft “creations” including unmistakable values instilled in seven dishes dedicated to the sea, perfect to give

Finally, as the vessel is pleasantly cruising back to the marina, the

Mochi Craft branded menu lands on a surprisingly fresh dessert: “An-

chor...ing”, the Pina Colada by the spoon, a fine coconut and pineapple cream.

per regalare alla navigazione nuovo gusto e nuove emozioni.

Un viaggio che inizia delicatamente, con gli antipasti finger food: Tartare

di scampi con schiuma di peperone

rosso candito e zenzero; Tonno e

avocado in macedonia allo yogurt e cetriolo alla “brezza” di menta;

Pasticcio di salmone cotto al cartoccio al lime con zucchine in crema

al basilico. E un “fuori rotta”: Scottata di gamberi liguri al rosmarino con finta salsa rosa, un prodigio di

sfumature cromatiche e vivacità del

gusto. Il primo piatto si chiama “Beccheggio”: risotto alla spuma di mare, delicato ma di carattere, con frutti

di mare e mandorle tostate uniti in una preziosa e leggera ricetta. Si continua con “La boa”, turbantino di branzino con cuore di panzanella di

cozze e coulis di pomodori arrosto.

Infine, come un piacevole rientro in porto, il menu “targato” Mochi Craft si conclude con un dolce freschissimo: “Ancora...ggio”, la Pina

tate company Xanadu South China Sea. The 112’ Next will be, indeed,

one of the attractions for the guests in the luxury residential and tourist

complex in Xanadu South China Sea under construction on the island

of Hainan. The boat will be known as one of the largest maxi yachts,

crafted by a European shipyard, to ever sail in Chinese waters.

A new exemplar of Navetta 26 Cre-

scendo, together with the third hull of the Custom Line 124’ – the biggest ship ever built by the brand

– were also launched in Ancona last May. However, the climax was

in June, with the launch of no less

than three vessels. The new hulls of

Navetta 33 Crescendo – at its 11th

exemplar – and two Custom Line 100’, the fifth and sixth exemplars of the category respectively, were set to sail for the very first time in the

shipyard of Ancona and La Spezia.

Just as the 124’, the 112’ NEXT and

the 97’, Ferretti Custom Line 100’ belongs to the planing line of the

brand, while Navetta 33 Crescendo and Navetta 26 Crescendo belong to the displacement line.

All ceremonies took place in the only presence of the ship owners and top

management of the Group and the proverbial christening of the ship

with a bottle of champagne shattered on the keel.

Nei cantieri di Ancona, Cattolica e La Spezia infatti hanno solcato il mare

per la prima volta i nuovi scafi Na-

vetta 33 Crescendo – arrivata all’un-

dicesimo esemplare – e due Custom Line 100’, rispettivamente il quinto e

il sesto della categoria. Come il 124’, il 112’ Next e il 97’, Ferretti Custom

Line 100’ fa parte della linea planante del brand, mentre Navetta 33 Crescendo e Navetta 26 Crescendo appartengono alla linea dislocante.

Tutte le cerimonie hanno avuto

luogo in forma strettamente privata

alla presenza degli armatori e dei
