ntre las variadas razones que hacen que Puerto Portals sea un referente en la isla tres décadas después de su apertura, una de las más acertadas, en mi opinión, es la firme apuesta que siempre hemos hecho por acercar la idiosincrasia y los productos de la tierra a nuestros clientes y amigos que nos visitan desde los cinco continentes. Este deseo por dar a conocer la cultura, las tradiciones y la gastronomía de Mallorca se ha materializado la pasada primavera con un evento que nos ha llenado a todos de satisfacción: Farmers’ Market. Con una gran afluencia de público, tanto residente como visitante, durante todos los domingos de mayo, ha sido especial formar parte de la convivencia entre estos artesanos que, con su amor y dedicación, dignifican su trabajo y a esta isla de la que son parte. Plenamente sensibilizados con asuntos de sostenibilidad, consumo solidario y social, a través del programa “One for One” desde Puerto Portals nos hemos involucrado en la cesta solidaria de productos frescos donada a la ONG Mallorca Sense Fam. Quiero dar las gracias a todos los participantes de esta iniciativa, que sin duda vivirá más ediciones, e invitar a todo el mundo a acercarse a Puerto Portals en esta nueva temporada llena de actividades deportivas, culturales y de ocio. f the various reasons that make Puerto Portals a beacon on the island three decades after its inauguration, one of the most accurate ones, in my opinion, is the firm commitment we have always had to bringing the idiosyncrasy and products of the region to the customers and friends who visit us from the five continents of the world. This desire to disseminate the culture, traditions and gastronomy of Mallorca materialised last spring with an event which was a great source of satisfaction for all of us: the Farmers’ Market. Extremely popular with the public – both residents and visitors – on every Sunday in May, it was a very special experience to form part of the community of these artisans who dignify their work and this island they belong to with their love and dedication. With full awareness of sustainability affairs, socially responsible and solidaritybased consumption, at Puerto Portals we have become involved in the solidarity basket of fresh produce donated to the NGO Mallorca Sense Fam through the ‘One for One’ programme. I should like to thank all the participants in this initiative, of which there will doubtless be many more to come. And to invite everyone to come to Puerto Portals in this summer season, which will be full of sporting, cultural and recreational activities. Happy summer everybody! puerto 10 portals

iner der Gründe dafür, dass der Hafen von Puerto Portals auch 30 Jahre nach seiner Eröffnung hohes internationales Prestige genieβt, ist meiner Meinung nach der Umstand, dass wir gegenüber unseren Gästen, Besuchern und Geschäftsfreunden aus aller Welt stets auf die Vermarktung der einheimischen Wesensart und Produkte gesetzt haben. Ein gutes Beispiel für die Bewerbung der mallorquinischen Kultur, Traditionen und Gastronomie war der Farmers’ Market, der im Frühling stattfand und dessen Erfolg für sich spricht. Das Event erfreute sich an allen Sonntagen im Mai eines groβen Zuspruchs seitens der Einheimischen wie Touristen. Es war eine besondere Erfahrung, die Kunsthandwerker zu erleben, die mit viel Liebe und Hingabe dem traditionellen Handwerk die verdiente Würde verleihen und damit auch der Insel, der sie eng verbunden sind. Puerto Portals engagiert sich unter anderem mit der Initiative „One for One“ in den Bereichen Nachhaltigkeit und gesellschaftlicher Solidarität, bei der ein „Solidaritätskorb“ voller frischer Lebensmittel zugunsten der NGO Mallorca Sense Fam gespendet wurde. Ich möchte bei dieser Gelegenheit Allen an der Initiative Beteiligten meinen Dank aussprechen. „One for One“ wird sicher noch mehr als eine Auflage erleben. Darüber hinaus möchte ich Sie in den Hafen Puerto Portals zu einer neuen Saison voller interessanter Sport-, Kultur- und Freizeitevents einladen. Ihnen Allen wünsche ich einen glücklichen Sommer.

Más de una veintena de puestos de artesanía, decoración, complementos, bisutería y gastronomía, además de actuaciones en directo, animación infantil y performances desde las seis de la tarde hasta las doce de la noche. Tampoco hay que olvidar el Aquatlon, cuya séptima edición se celebra el 10 de septiembre. Esta prueba deportiva que consiste en una carrera de 3 km a pie, seguida de 1 km a nado y otros 3 km de carrera a pie reunió en la pasada edición a más de un centenar de participantes.

Super Series. Bei der Regatta treffen die weltbesten Teams der TP52 Serie aufeinander. In diesem Jahr haben neue, berühmte Reeder ihre Teilnahme zugesagt. Die Besucher können wie üblich ein vielfältiges Freizeitangebot genieβen. Der The Sunset Market findet jeweils mittwochs und donnerstags im August statt. Mehr als 20 Stände bieten Kunsthandwerk, Deko-Artikel, Accessoires, Modeschmuck und kulinarische Leckereien feil. Darüber hinaus stehen, jeweils von 18 bis 00 Uhr, Live-Konzerte, Kinderanimation und Performance-Einlagen auf dem Programm. Am 10. September findet zum siebenten Mal der Aquatlon statt. Die Teilnehmer müssen einen 3 Kilometer langen Wettlauf bewältigen sowie anschlieβend einen Kilometer schwimmen und erneut drei Kilometer laufen. Im vergangenen Jahr nahmen mehr als hundert Sportler am Aquatlon teil.

“Desde que llegamos a la isla en 2002, vivimos cerca de Puerto Portals. Siempre hemos estado vinculados al puerto porque mi marido era regatista y ahora es capitán de barco. Actualmente, colaboro en todos los mercados que organiza el puerto: Christmas Market, Farmers’ Market y The Sunset Market, con artículos de mi tienda, Degüayhaus, apostando por el producto eco y de comercio justo, y por piezas de artesanía únicas. En Puerto Portals hemos encontrado personas que buscan invertir en piezas bonitas y cuidadas. Con el puerto tenemos la misma relación que con nuestros artesanos, de confianza, apoyo mutuo y conexión completa”.

“Siempre he trabajado en el ámbito marítimo. Hace nueve años, unos compañeros me aconsejaron unirme a Puerto Portals. Empecé por un verano, después me llamaron para trabajar todo el año ¡y aquí seguimos!... Si hay que destacar algo, debo decir que en marinería tenemos un muy buen equipo, mucho compañerismo y una relación personal entre nosotros. En los últimos años ha habido bastante evolución en Puerto Portals, los eventos han abierto un gran abanico de posibilidades. ‘We have lived near Puerto Portals ever since we arrived on the island in 2002. We have always been connected to the port because my husband used to compete in regattas, and now he is a boat skipper. At present, I collaborate in all of the markets the port organises - Christmas Market, Farmers’ Market and The Sunset Market, with articles from my shop, Degüayhaus, with a commitment to ecological and fair trade products, and unique artisanal pieces. In Puerto Portals we have found people who are looking to invest in beautiful, select items. We have the same relationship with the marina as we do with our craftspeople, one of trust, mutual support and complete connection’.

‘I have always worked in the maritime environment. Nine years ago, some colleagues advised me to join Puerto Portals. I started one summer, and afterwards they called me up to work all year, and I’m still here!... If there is one thing I would highlight, it is that in the port services we have a very good team, lots of camaraderie and a great personal relationship with each other. Over recent years, Puerto Portals has undergone quite a lot of evolution, the events have opened up a wide spectrum of possibilities. What I like the best about my daily routine is that I am doing what I like, working close to the sea as I always have, being able to be in the open air and in contact with people’.

„Ich habe immer im Nautikbereich gearbeitet und vor neun Jahren rieten mir einige Kollegen, mich in Puerto Portals zu bewerben. Zunächst arbeitete ich einen Sommer lang, später wurde daraus ein fester Job und ich bin noch immer hier! Was mir besonders gefällt, ist das Arbeitsklima unter Seeleuten und Hafenarbeitern, wir sind ein gut eingespieltes Team, pflegen Kameradschaft und ein enges persönliches Verhältnis. In den vergangenen Jahren hat es viele Veränderungen in Puerto Portals gegeben, die Organisation zahlreicher Events hat den Hafen belebt und bietet viele Möglichkeiten. Was mir am meisten an meiner Arbeit gefällt? Dass ich genau das tun kann, was mir Spaβ macht, nämlich am und mit dem Meer zu arbeiten, so wie ich es gewohnt bin. “Soy el capitán de un yate de 30 metros de eslora, y desde hace 8 años vivo muy cerca de Puerto Portals con mi mujer y mi hija. Tras varios días en alta mar navegando con el yate por Europa, me encanta regresar al puerto, ver la torre de capitanía a lo lejos y poder decir “¡por fin en casa!”. Nunca he tenido ningún problema en Puerto Portals, el personal es muy simpático y me ha ayudado en todo momento, tanto de día como de noche. Y, sobre todo, para mí es el puerto más seguro del Mediterráneo, tanto en tierra como en el mar. Los eventos han dado mucha vida, nos visita gente nueva y las familias y los niños disfrutan muchísimo”.

After spending days on the high seas, sailing around Europe with the yacht, I love coming back to the harbour, seeing the captaincy tower from afar and being able to say, ‘Home at last!’ I have never had a problem at Puerto Portals, the staff are very friendly and have always helped me, both at day and at night. And above all, for me it’s the safest port in the Mediterranean, both on land and in the sea. La exposición que ha llevado a la realidad la Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, es de carácter retrospectivo y enfatiza sus últimos trabajos, más personales y de viajes. The Planta Noble (main floor) of Casal Solleric houses an exhibition by one of the most important Mallorcan photographers of our time, Toni Catany (Llucmajor, 1942 – Barcelona, 2013). The exhibition that has been realised by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera is a retrospective and emphasizes his final, more personal works and those from his travels. Catany gehört zu den bedeutenden zeitgenössischen Fotografen Mallorcas.
