Super Summers Have Returned to Metropolis!
The Superman Celebration Turns 50
O
ur cover this month features Ella and Kaden Steckenrider dressed to represent the characters from the hit show Smallville. Smallville follows the coming-of-age adventures of teenage Clark Kent in his fictional hometown of Smallville, Kansas before he formally becomes the Man of Steel. They are anxiously awaiting the 50th anniversary of the Metropolis Superman Celebration. Metropolis will be soaring from June 10 - 12th with their annual super event. Metropolis is celebrating 50 years as the Home of Superman with a bang! This year’s golden anniversary will be extra special. “The celebration was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic,” said Karla Ogle, Chairman of the Superman Celebration Committee. “It returned last year on a smaller scale because of lingering health concerns and restrictions. This year we are back and the Superman Celebration will be bigger and better than ever!”
Fans From Around the World
The annual event kicks off the summer in Metropolis bringing thousands of Superman fans to their favorite place. Superman fans travel from all over the country, and even around the world to spend the weekend at the Home of the Man of Steel. In past years visitors from Australia, England, and even Japan have been in attendance. This year’s celebration will be a three-day event rather than four. In prior years, the celebration began on Thursday evening. This year, the festivities will kick off on Friday, June 10.

“Travel numbers are bouncing back very well,” says Trish Steckenrider, Executive Director for the Greater Metropolis CVB. “We anticipate around 5,000 people to visit Metropolis during the three-day event. Metropolis has so much to offer - locally-owned shops, delicious restaurants, and a unique small-town feel. We invite everyone to enjoy our hometown."
Come Meet the Stars
The celebrity Meet & Greets are some of the top attractions of the Superman Celebration. This year stars Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum from Smallville will meet eager fans from near and far. Not only will they take part in the MSC autograph sessions, but they are also bringing their show to the event. Smallville Nights will take place on the evening of Saturday, June 11. Welling and Rosenbaum have created an intimate show in which they will reenact memorable moments from the iconic series and share some of the fun that goes on behind the scenes. Organizers will announce more details in the coming weeks. Reverend Charles Chandler will be one of several honored guests. Also a former local pastor, Chandler was the first man to portray Superman in Metropolis. It is only fitting that he attend the special 50th Anniversary. He will be doing a Q&A session – the time and date will be posted on the website. Family Fun
The Superman Celebration will also bring back some traditional favorites such as the Smallville Kids Area. Children can enjoy games and shows, Superman trivia, panel discussions for the fans of the Man of Steel, and a large variety of vendors and food trucks. An adult must stay present with each child while in the Kids Area. An amazing full-size replica of Transformer’s Optimus Prime semitruck will be present each day. The grand finale for the Superman Celebration will be the ever-popular “Heroes and Villains Costume Contest” on Sunday afternoon. Contestants will compete for various titles and cash prizes. “This is a huge fan favorite, and it’s always interesting to see what contestants come up with,” Steckenrider said. “From the very simple to extremely creative, the costume contest is always a show-stopper. Rules and categories will be published on the website as the date approaches,”
Calling All Archers!
The Metropolis Superman Celebration isn’t the only thing that brings people to Metropolis as the weather warms up. Two more annual events follow the Superman Celebration. From June 23 - 26, the Archery Shooters Association will return to Mermet Lake Fish and Wildlife area to host the Mathews Illinois Pro/Am Championships. This event brings members of the Archery Shooter’s Association (ASA) to Metropolis where members and non-members compete for cash
prizes in over 20 archery categories. Winners of the Mathews Illinois Pro/ Am Championship will qualify to compete in the ASA Worlds later this summer. For more information about the tournament and how to become a member of ASA, visit: asaarchery.com.
Fourth of July Fun
There is no better place than Metropolis to kick off Independence Day Weekend! July 1 is the annual Hometown Celebration at Harrah’s Metropolis. This event provides a fun, festive place for the whole family while giving back to the community. General admission is $ 5 and 100% of admission fees go towards school supplies for local children when school starts back in August. Adults can enjoy the food and beverages while the kids put all of their energy to good use in bounce houses and playing games. A gigantic fireworks display will wrap up the 4th of July festivities. You don’t want to miss it!

pectrum disorders affect 1 in 44 children in our country. The term covers a vast range of processing, learning, and developmental disorders. Since it was not offered locally, parents in our region had no choice but to travel to larger cities such as Nashville or Louisville to have their children evaluated for potential spectrum issues and diagnoses. Emerald Therapy Center is proud to announce its new Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnostic process. Parents can now have their
child’s assessment done locally with dedicated, compassionate, and knowledgeable members of the Emerald Therapy team. “The diagnostic process at Emerald Therapy Center consists of a complex series of observations and assessments,” explained Shelly Baer, Executive Director of Emerald Therapy Center in Paducah. “We include observations and input from the child’s caregivers and/or teachers to ensure your child is being given the most comprehensive and highest quality assessment possible. This allows us to create a specific treatment plan one hundred percent customized for not only your child but the entire family.” The assessments may be conducted in the office, at home, or in a community setting based on the client's individual needs. Standardized tests offered include the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), the Autism Spectrum Rating Scales (ASRS), and The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). Information is compared with the symptoms directly related to the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. If similarities are present, they are carefully analyzed to provide a rating of minimal to none, mild to moderate, moderate to severe, or severe. Behavioral health intervention services are available if your child has been diagnosed and would benefit from behavioral support devices. There are multiple ASD therapy options such as communication skills and sensory issues as well as a sensory-friendly waiting area in our office. Please talk to your child’s pediatrician or primary care physician about a referral before calling to schedule an assessment.

“Let’s Go Fly A Kite”
I
n today’s world, entertainment seems to be all about electronics. Streaming movies or TV shows, downloading games, and being glued to a phone or tablet. Spring is here, and there’s no better time to put down the devices, get off the couch, and head to Calvert City for their annual Kites Over Calvert. It’s all happening on May 7.
Kids and adults of all ages are invited to participate in this family-friendly afternoon. You can bring your furry friends along to join in the fun! The event is free of charge and open to the public. It’s not just Marshall County residents, anyone can participate in Kites Over Calvert. The festivities will take place from 1-3pm at Doctor’s Park, 23 Park Road, located behind Calvert City Hall.
Get Your Kites
If you have your own kite, you are welcome to bring it. If you don’t have one, Calvert Area Development Association (CADA) will give kites away on a first-come, first-serve basis. To claim your free kite, plan to arrive by 1 pm as supplies will be limited. “This is one of my favorite events hosted by CADA,” said Brittany Story, CADA President. “We always have a great turnout. After everyone has been cooped up all winter, we are all ready to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather.” Since it is outside, this event operates on “kite-time”. In other words, if the weather doesn’t cooperate it will be rescheduled and take place the following weekend, May 14. With a little breeze coming off the Lakes and the warm sunshine on your face Kites Over Calvert will fill the skies with laughter and kites.

Live In Lower Town! The 2022 LTAMF is Back By Will Brandon, Project Coordinator, Yeiser Art Center
P
aducah’s beloved Lower Town Arts & Music Festival (LTAMF) is returning in 2022 to the historic neighborhood where it all began! LTAMF is a celebration of all things art, community, and music. Set in the historic Lower Town Arts District, this free festival offers art vendors, live music, family activities, and mouthwatering food and beverage options. This year’s festival dates are Friday, May 13, from 5pm - 10:30pm and Saturday, May 14, from 10am -10:30pm. It’s a weekend full of musical, culinary, and artistic talent from western Kentucky and the surrounding region. As Paducah’s oldest non-profit organization, 2022 marks the 65th Anniversary of the Yeiser Art Center. LTAMF serves as one of the premier fundraising events for the Yeiser, bringing in critical revenue that supports operations throughout the year, educational programming, and community outreach events. Because of the pandemic, it’s been three years since the last festival, and community support is more important than ever.
Celebrating the Creative Spirit
The goal of this year’s festival is to celebrate the creative spirit in all of us. Organizers certainly needed a little creativity as a few adjustments and facelifts have been implemented to make the event possible. The focal point of LTAMF is the intersection located across from a main stage of music at Madison and 7th Street – where the restored Texaco station stands. The festival footprint this year will be one block in each direction. While the footprint will be smaller than previous years, festival-goers will still find the same quality, sights, and activities they’ve come to know and love.

Art, Food & Beer
Artist booths will line the streets of Lower Town, with a specific focus on artists who reside in Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana, and Illinois. Attendees will be able to find booths featuring both individual and group artists, with art ranging from jewelry and metalsmithing to painting and photography. Spread throughout will be non-profit organizations where you can learn more about their missions and ways to be involved in our community. As with previous festivals one street will be dedicated to local purveyors of delicious food and sweets, with a diverse menu that is sure to cure your appetite as you walk around the festival. Beer and alcohol will be available for purchase from Schlafly Brewing (St. Louis, Missouri), along with local favorites such as Dry Ground Brewing, Paducah Beer Werks, and Purple Toad Winery.
Music, Music, Music
This year will feature a single main stage for music, hosting local musicians and exciting headliners each night! Friday night will be headlined by The Wooks, an award-winning Progressive Bluegrass band based out of Lexington, KY that has influences ranging from jam bands to Southern rock. Saturday night will feature Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown, a Nashville-based rock ‘n roll band that has learned from their huge touring shows. They’ve supported bands such as AC/ DC and Guns N’ Roses. There will be plenty of room to enjoy the show, with a limited quantity of VIP Tables available for each day. These are located close to the stage that can be purchased at theyeiser.org. The always popular official after-parties will be back each night. YAC
The Yeiser Art Center, a non-profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status, was established in 1957 as the Paducah Art Guild to promote the appreciation of the visual arts and for their creation. It started as a small volunteer organization with founding members Mary Yeiser, Ginny Black, and Bob Evans leading the way. Today, YAC has a permanent exhibition space that hosts multiple shows annually and a permanent collection of over 300 works. The center offers visual artbased programming including educational classes for both children and adults, public gallery talks, and artist lectures. They have grown to employ a full-time executive director as well as three employees. YAC also has a supporting membership program as well as many loyal and terrific volunteers.

The Noble Park Fish Out By Cassie Johnson
T
he warm sunshine and fresh breezes of spring are the perfect weather for fishing! Paducah Parks & Recreation is proud to present its annual Noble Park Fish Out. This fin-tastic event has been catching family fun on the first Saturday in June for over 20 years.
The Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources stocks the lake throughout the year as part of the Fishing in Neighborhoods (FINs) program. The lake population consists mainly of catfish, trout, crappie, and sunfish. This is a Catch and Release tournament, so remember taking a keeper home is not an option.
On Saturday, June 4 kids ages 5 to 12 years are invited to join the fun at Lake Gerry B. Montgomery, located at Noble Park. The first weekend in June is Kentucky’s Free Fishing Weekend – there’s no fishing license needed and you can have fun at no cost. Registration will begin at 8:30am at Shelter 10, located across the road from the Noble Park Pool. Fishing will be from 9 - 11am. Don’t forget that early birds catch the worms - gift bags will be handed out to the first 75 children registered.
“Each child will need to be supervised with a parent or guardian present the entire time,” said Taylor Morsching, Recreation Superintendent with Paducah Parks & Recreation. “Parents or helpers can assist with baiting and removing fish from the hook, but children must do all fishing on their own. As soon as a fish is caught and reeled in, participants need to see a Parks & Recreation staff member to measure, record, and release the fish. Staff members will be available to assist the baiting and unhooking process, but are mostly there to

measure and record fish.” “Only one fish can be recorded at a time, so please be patient!” added Morsching. “Last year, we had between 50 and 70 participants and it takes time to get to everyone. Do not wait until you catch multiple fish as each one will need to be returned to the lake as soon as possible to maintain their good health.”
No Pole? No Problem!
Children may use their personal pole and bait, or they can borrow both from Paducah Parks & Recreation while supplies last. To borrow a pole, a parent or guardian must fill out and sign the registration form with the pole rental agreement to ensure the pole will be returned as soon as the tournament is over. No license is needed as Kentucky does not require a fishing license for children under 16.
An awards ceremony will follow the tournament at Shelter 10 to wrap up the day. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for two different categories. The Longest Fish and Most Fish Caught for both a boys division and girls division will be given prizes. Prizes may include a fishing pole, tackle box, or other fishing gear.
Pick Your Spot
“The fishing pier, pavilion, and bridge areas offer plenty of room for everyone,” said Morsching. “For safety, please avoid areas with erosion to the shoreline.” Wherever you choose, be aware of others in your area when casting and reeling in your fish. Look around to make sure you have plenty of space. This helps prevent accidents, possible injuries, and lines from being tangled.

M
ay is Mental Health Awareness Month which presents the perfect opportunity for our readers to reflect on its importance. For years, the term ‘mental health’ carried a horrible reputation. It was associated with anti-social behavior and insanity, and those diagnosed were often locked away in institutions for life. Nowadays, that response to the term has largely been eliminated, so let’s shed some light on mental health facts. In the United States alone, 1 in 20 adults experiences a mental illness each year. About 31% of individuals live with a diagnosed substance abuse disorder which is now considered a mental health issue. Even young children are at risk. From the ages of 6 to 17 years old, one in six children experiences mental or behavioral health problems. “This month encourages individuals to talk about mental health and seek help if needed,” Cynthia Turner, Certified Prevention Specialist at the Four Rivers Prevention Center told me. “No one is ever judged for seeking help for their physical health issues and it should be the same for our mental health.”
Understanding Mental Health
It can be tricky to comprehend the thought process of someone who is struggling with mental health. One of the most important things you can do is offer support to loved ones affected by these conditions and guide them to the right help. Feelings of isolation can lead to depression and even worse, suicide. In Kentucky, suicide is the second leading cause of death in children and adults ages 10 - 34. “If there is any reason to think that an individual might be having

suicidal ideations, then a more serious conversation asking that person directly 'Are you thinking about suicide?' needs to take place,” advised Turner “We are all human and sometimes we aren’t in an emotionally healthy mindset to be able to have that conversation. It is vitally important you find someone who can.”
Mental Health Affects Your Body
Stress and anxiety can cause mild effects in adults such as headaches, sleepless nights, and ulcers. Children may fidget, pull their hair, or scratch themselves until their skin is raw. These are nothing in comparison to the serious long-term effects – a higher risk of heart attacks or cardiovascular disease, strokes, diabetes, even cancer. “Just as we need to take care of our physical health we need to pay attention to our mental health,” said Miranda Farthing, LPCC at Emerald Therapy Center in Murray. “Mental health doesn’t need to be met with fear, but rather with curiosity, grace, and understanding. Mental health is a gift just like everything in life. When life happens or is taken for granted, there are problems. If we meet mental health with understanding, bravery, and compassion then our thoughts, heart, sense, or self-worth can be made whole. You will see that you are a gift.”

Being positive needs to be a top priority. Be happy, share a smile or a word of encouragement with a friend or even a stranger. You never know what battles someone may be facing and your kind words could make a huge impact on their day. This can be as simple as

asking someone about their day. Everyone wants to know they aren’t alone and someone cares for them. Numerous studies throughout the years have proven that social media plays a large role in the mental health of children and adults. As you scroll through the newsfeed, make positive posts. A simple comment such as, “You are beautiful!” might be the encouraging words that a friend you haven’t seen in a few years needed to hear. Rather than sharing bad news or negativity, positively use your platform.
Take time for YOU
We all face daily levels of stress and anxiety. Finding the time to manage them can be difficult in our constantly busy days. Even if you only have five minutes in between leaving for soccer practice and making it on time to dance lessons, take a few minutes to focus on yourself. There are several good apps you can download that will help you practice calming, deep breathing exercises, or meditation. Both have been shown to significantly lower blood pressure and improve mental health. Warmer days and beautiful weather are here, so enjoy a walk either on your own or with your family. Sit outside in the sunshine, allowing the sun’s vitamin D to naturally refresh you. Before we can help others, we must first take care of ourselves. elebrations are held for many different occasions - holidays, weddings, promotions, anniversaries, and one that is near and dear to me, birthdays. As far back as my college days, when money was tight, I would bake a cake, pie, or cookies for friends and family on their birthday. I’ve continued that tradition into my professional career. My team appreciates that I celebrate their special day and that I won’t hesitate to

prepare or bake something a bit out of the ordinary. Recently, I was a bit stumped by a friend's request; cheesecake. Of all the things I have baked in my life, I had never made a “proper” cheesecake. My brother, a professional chef, my Aunt Pat, and my mother when she was alive, are/were the true bakers in the family. They have all made a beautiful and delicious cheesecake - I had a high bar to reach. One of the reasons I have never made one just for myself is because cheesecake is

rich and filling. It would take me weeks to consume a whole cheesecake unless I froze part of it, or made mini ones. I did a bit of research and found a good recipe from Ina Garten also known as the Barefoot Contessa. After gathering all my ingredients and allowing them to come to room temperature, I made my first cheesecake. My friends are partial to raspberries so that was my topping of choice. I’m taking it to them in a few minutes (and I hope it tastes as good as it looks). In case you’re cooking for someone who isn’t a fan of cheesecake, I’ve also included a delicious French Chocolate Mousse recipe. In this time of pandemic and military aggression in Europe, remember to take the time to celebrate those you love every day. Maybe with a really delicious cheesecake! P.S. The cheesecake tasted really good!
Bake for 15 minutes (set a timer). Turn the oven temperature down to 225° F and bake for another 1 hour and 15 minutes (set a timer). The cake will not be completely set in the center. Leaving the cheesecake in the oven, turn off the oven and open the door for 30 minutes (set a timer). Take the cake out of the oven and allow to sit at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours, until completely cooled. Wrap and refrigerate overnight. Remove the cake from the spring-form pan by carefully running a hot knife around the outside of the cake. Leave the cake on the bottom of the spring-form pan for serving. Make the topping by melting the jelly in a small pan over low heat. In a bowl, toss the raspberries and the warm jelly gently until well mixed. Arrange the berries on top of the cake. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Total time 14 hours; 30 min prep, 1.5 hours cooking Serves 12 Ingredients Crust:
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (10 crackers) 1 TBSP sugar 6 TBSP melted unsalted butter
Filling:
2 ½ LBS cream cheese at room temperature 1 ½ cups sugar 5 whole extra-large eggs at room temperature 2 extra-large egg yolks at room temperature ¼ cup sour cream 1 TBSP grated lemon zest 1 ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
Topping: 1 cup red jelly (not jam) such as raspberry, currant or strawberry 3 half pints fresh raspberries Preheat oven to 350° F. Make the crust by combining the crackers, sugar, and melted butter until moistened. Pour into a 9 inch spring-form pan and using your hands press into the bottom and about 1 inch up the sides. Bake for 8 minutes (set a timer). Cool to room temperature. Increase the temperature in the oven to 450° F. Make the filling by creaming the cream cheese with the sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer with a paddle attachment on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Reduce the speed of the mixer to medium and add the eggs and egg yolks, 2 at a time, mixing well. Scrape down the bowl and beater, as necessary. With the mixer on low, add the sour cream, lemon zest, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly and pour into cooled crust.

French Chocolate Mousse 6 oz semisweet baking chocolate, chopped 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened 3 eggs, separate the yolks from the whites and save both ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
sugar and vanilla. Continue to whip until the cream holds soft peaks. Gradually and gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture to lighten it. Then, delicately fold in the whipped cream. Take care not to over work the mousse. Divide mousse into 4 individual glasses. Cover and chill for several hours. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving. TIP: If you are not sure how to fold something in check YouTube How to fold ingredients for baking. It’s easier to show you than to try and explain it. RAW EGG Warning.
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar ½ cup heavy cream, cold ½ teaspoon vanilla extract Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish Place the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl and place over a saucepan containing barely simmering water (or use a double bowler). Melt the chocolate and butter together and stir with a wooden spoon until smooth. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add the egg yolks to the chocolate, 1 by 1, beating with a whisk until incorporated. Set aside. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy. Add the cream of tartar and continue to beat. Gradually add in ¼ cup sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form. In yet another bowl, beat the heavy cream in a chilled bowl until it begins to foam and thicken up. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons

Pin Pals Against Parkinson’s By Cassie Johnson
P
arkinson’s disease affects nearly 1 million people in America. Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD) affects between two and ten percent of that million. Patients with YOPD are diagnosed with PD before turning 50 years old. My husband, David, is in that small percentage. He was diagnosed in 2015 at the young age of 35. April is PD awareness month, and we’re ready to strike it out for good.

On April 23, everyone is invited to attend our 1st annual bowling tournament - Pin Pals Against Parkinson’s at Cardinal Lanes Strike & Spare in Paducah. Check-in for bowlers will start at 12:30pm and the tournament will begin at 1pm. This is a 9-pin, no-tap tournament, which means knocking down nine pins is equal to a strike. The entry fee is $40 per bowler and includes four games. Competitive bowlers of all ages are welcome to participate.

because of the pandemic, Child Watch Counseling & Advocacy Center is ready to pick up the mic where they left off! Make plans to attend Sing Your Heart Out on May 6. Nearly 300 guests attended the 2019 event, and this year promises to be bigger and better! Elvis and Dolly Parton were among the special guests, so you never know who may show up this year! The event is held at Blooms n’ Gardens, located off exit 3 in Paducah. This beautiful garden setting is casual but fun and will become the ultimate karaoke stage. Join the fun at this unique event taking place May 6 from 6 -11pm. DJ Mandy Vixen will play the best tunes and keep the crowd hopping while they support their favorite singer or group. The Catering Company is providing heavy appetizers and a cash bar will be available. You must be 21 years of age to attend. “This will be a memorable evening filled with great talent and a fun atmosphere,” said Event Chairperson, Sarah Judd. “We are excited to come together once again after two long years. It’s a wonderful way to support the critical counseling and advocacy work that our teams do in the community.” Nine acts and two auctioned Instant Karaoke Performances will take the stage. The auction allows the two highest bidders to join the party. Each act must raise $1,500 to perform at the show, whether an individual or group. The cost includes general admission for the participants. Performances are karaoke only, no live music. Don’t wait, sign up now because it is limited to just nine acts. The act that raises the most money will win the Golden Microphone Award. Awards will also be given for Fan Favorite and Best Costume. “The crowd and competitors really get into the Fan Favorite and Best Costume awards,” said Janie Criner, Executive Director of Child Watch.

Child Watch offers free mental health therapy at locations in Paducah and Benton for any child victim of abuse or neglect in Western Kentucky. It also provides prevention education in 30 area elementary schools.

fter a two-year wait, the 36th American Quilter’s Society Quilt Show is back and Paducah is welcoming it with open arms! Spectators, local businesses, and residents have been on pins and needles anxiously awaiting the 2022 Quilt Week. “The staff at the museum are thrilled by the return of AQS Quilt Week and it’s very exciting to welcome everyone back to Paducah,” said Matt Collinsworth, CEO of the National Quilt Museum. “Registration is strong and quilters and quilt lovers are excited. We are ready to support the weeklong event with great exhibitions and fun activities.” Visitors from across the United States and many other countries from around the world flock to western Kentucky just for Quilt Week. Please be patient as you go about your normal routines around town. There will be extra traffic, longer waits at restaurants, and crowds in the stores but it’s all worth it. Quilt Week contributes around 24 million in tourism dollars to the economy of Paducah and western Kentucky. More than 50,000 people, not just from all 50 states but more than 30 countries, visit the Paducah National Quilt Museum each year. Our hometown NQM was voted as one of the top museums in the South and attracts quilters, art enthusiasts, and locals.

t’s spring in Paducah which in my opinion is the prettiest time of the year in western Kentucky. The flowers are blooming, the dogwoods look fantastic, and it’s not too humid. I’m ready to sip a refreshing drink at one of the many fantastic bars and restaurants in downtown Paducah. What could be better than the return of SpringTINI?!
Back in 2011, LivWell Community Health Services, which was then known as Heartland CARES, started a new fundraiser. SpringTINI is now their signature, annual event where participants sample handcrafted cocktails created by local bars and restaurants. During the pandemic, LivWell decided to pivot to SpringTINI with a twist (get it?) SpringTINI-To-Go offers individually packaged cocktails ready to drink. SpringTINI-To-Go has been a huge success and for 2022 organizers have elected to stay with this format.
