Camp Wingapo, pronounced win-gap-o, was a Powhatan word used to great friends or those who wanted to be friends. Camp Wingapo campers are true outdoor adventurers. With access to miles of trails and an 8-acre lake at Locust Shade Park campers stay active, have fun with new and old friends and learn about the world around them. Each week, our camp schedule is made up of hiking, fishing, archery, mini-golf, and boating components. Weekly plans are infused with activities related to our weekly theme. These themed activities provide each camper with a chance to work with friends, learn different skills, participate in new games, and build their adventurer confidence. Please note that participants will spend their day outdoors with shelter for inclement weather. Drop off and Pick up will be at Locust Shade Park. 207650 OA
