Motorcycles Spread the Good News in Zambia
…as YOU help take the gospel to remote places
Scripture reminds us, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Romans 10:14).
James of Zambia is a perfect example of someone who might never have heard about Jesus—if not for you and other faithful friends.
YOU are helping to MULTIPLY ministry!
Thanks to a motorcycle you helped provide for one of our ministry partners in Zambia, a gospel worker named Mulabizi had been sharing the gospel in a village close to where James lived.
“Many people here in this remote village believe in some of the teachings of Christianity and modern medicine,” Mulabizi said. “But many also still believe in witchcraft. Occasionally, they will sneak out to see a witchdoctor for healing under cover of night.”
That’s how Mulabizi learned of James…the local witchdoctor.

Motorcycles Spread the Good News in Zambia
A ministry on the move
Mulabizi rode his motorcycle along the dirt trail on the outskirts of the remote village until he arrived at James’ home.
The elderly man lived alone—no family and no friends. His community, even his relatives, distanced themselves because they feared the power of his witchcraft.
You helped James step from darkness toward the Light!
Mulabizi’s motorcycle made this remote trek possible!
“I started visiting James regularly,” said Mulabizi. “As he opened up to the word of God, we started praying and studying the Bible together.”
One day, James became convicted of the truth of the Bible—and he accepted Jesus as his savior!
“James was recently baptized, and he is now a happy man,” said Mulabizi.
continued from cover
“He has new friends at church and found a true and faithful friend in Jesus. And he has turned away from witchcraft—and is now busy preaching his new faith!”
Thank you for equipping pastors, evangelists and gospel workers (like Mulabizi in Zambia) with the tools they need, like motorcycles, to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
The NUMBERS speak for themselves… What Difference Can a Motorcycle Make?
Zambia is home to some the most difficult to reach places throughout Africa.
There are countless swampy areas where the only modes of transport are boat or dug-out canoe. Isolated islands are impossible to reach by car. Many remote villages are accessible only by crude footpaths. Some regions are so vast and sparsely populated that sending traditional evangelism teams just isn’t feasible.
Thanks to you and other generous friends, motorcycles have made all the difference in Zambia. Just one of several projects is reaching eight regions throughout the Luapula Conference (Luchinda, Nsumbu, Nchelenge, Mwense, Chimpempe, Lubwe, Milenge and Samfya).
15,000+
The number of miles a Zambia gospel worker’s motorcycle can average each year.
5,654
Bible studies conducted in Zambia last year by motorcycle gospel workers.
10,534
People who were introduced to Christ last year in Zambia through Bible study.
4,422
Baptisms performed in Zambia through motorcycle ministry.
Outreach like this is possible ONLY because of you and others who give. Thank you!
Hold on Tight, and Prepare to Get Muddy!
Reaching remote places in Indonesia
“Hold on tight, and prepare to get muddy!”
This may not be a phrase heard frequently on the way to an evangelism meeting. Yet, it’s exactly what happened when six women took a long, muddy trip riding on the back of motorcycles to the remote region of Seko, Padang Balua, a mountainous area of Indonesia.
The trip took six grueling hours on broken, muddy roads. The women had to stop frequently to dig out a path for the small motorcycle trailer full of supplies.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God
The journey was well worth the effort, and the travelers arrived in high spirits—though covered in mud.
This project is just one of several organized by Luwu Tana Toraja Mission. The four motorcycles, provided through you and other generous donors, were vital to this outreach. Thank you for helping bring the Good News to isolated regions of Indonesia!

Sharing the Gospel in “Uneasy” Places
“You will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble…for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared” (Proverbs 2:23, 26).
The call to “go into all the world” doesn’t just mean the easy places. One of the things I like best about Quiet Hour Ministries is that we are seeking those unreached, inaccessible areas where we can bring the word of Jesus.
I love the story in this newsletter (on page 3) about the group of six women in Indonesia who took the arduous journey to reach a remote village—on motorcycles! That mental image of the mud really helps us see the challenging conditions in which some of our gospel workers travel for the sake of making Jesus known.
Many of these gospel workers and pastors serve in areas where we could easily DOUBLE our impact for Christ with better transportation.
That’s why I’m so thankful for you and others who help fund things like motorcycles, which make it possible to share the gospel in these hard-to-reach places.
God bless you!
Each night, the “motorcycle ladies” preached at evangelism meetings.
In many of the places where Quiet Hour Ministries works, a motorcycle is more than just a way to get from one place to another. For our pastors and gospel workers, it is…
• A reliable form of transportation—less expensive than a car and cheaper to maintain.
• A timesaver—reclaiming hours and sometimes days spent on travel.
• A “way maker”—providing access to places that are unreachable on foot or by car.
It costs $2,700, on average, to provide a motorcycle (and a helmet).
You may not be in a position to fund a motorcycle. Yet, if you will join with our other friends to share in the cost of providing a motorcycle, together we will be able to share the gospel with so many more people around the world in hard-to-reach places.
$81,000 URGENTLY NEEDED to fulfill requests for 30 motorcycles throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America
Please give today to MULTIPLY the reach of gospel workers around the world!
