“This is unimaginable for us!”
God is working miracles through YOU in Uruguay

Montevideo, Uruguay – One day, Pastor Wily Cruz of Uruguayan Union of Seventh-day Adventists was organizing books in his church’s library and came upon some old pamphlets.

“They caught my attention because they were quite old,” said Pastor Wily. “One was called A Christian Is by Bill Tucker, printed by Quiet Hour in 1994. The other was Would You Like to be Healed? by Tucker Toman, also a Quiet Hour publication.

“They looked very interesting,” he said. “I had no idea how they got here, but I didn’t want to throw them away, so I decided to take them home so I could read them.”

“God moments” you are a part of…

The following week, Pastor Wily, received a call from his conference telling him about a ministry that wanted to serve in Uruguay.

Keep reading for more of Pastor Wily’s story…

Right now, Quiet Hour Ministries gospel workers (pastors, evangelists and other men and women of faith) are serving all around the world:

■ Developing ways to safely meet, especially in places hostile to Jesus

■ Caring for those who are hurting and in desperate circumstances

■ Faithfully reflecting Jesus’ love into their communities

■ Leading people to Christ and discipling them in their faith

These gospel workers can’t continue their work without your support. They rely on you and other friends for the resources and support they need to share Jesus.

“Of course, I said ‘Yes’ right away,” said Pastor Wily. “I asked who the group was and was told they were from Quiet Hour Ministries.”

Where have I heard that name before? Pastor Wily thought to himself.

A couple of days later, he made the connection. He checked the little booklets, and sure enough, they were Quiet Hour publications.

“This group is coming here?” said Pastor Wily. “It was very exciting to know they were coming to my community.”

The gospel workers you send out are reaping a harvest!

Last fall, the Quiet Hour Ministries mission team came and hosted a week-long evangelism event in Pastor Wily’s district—complete with gospel workers giving Bible studies in advance of the team, nightly meetings and programs for the children.

At the end of the week,17 people made the decision to be baptized—and 10 others were doing Bible studies and hoped to be baptized soon.

Pastor Wily tells the story of finding the Quiet Hour booklets.

“This is unimaginable for us from just one event!” said Pastor Wily. “Most of our churches have less than 10 baptisms in an entire year!”

“Praise God for this occurrence!” said Pastor Wily. Thank you for all you do to send gospel workers into the mission field—so God can use them in mighty ways!

Driven by faith

Gospel workers heartfelt mission in rural Uruguay

Quiet Hour gospel workers Elias and his wife, Jovanna, are dedicated servants of the Lord.

“Every evening they pick us up to go to their meeting,” shared Jimmy, who attends meetings at the couple’s home.

Gospel workers with a heart to share Jesus

“They live quite far away,” said Jimmy. “Yet, every day and every night, they not only pick us up, but also all these children too. Then they drive us through all these curved roads to their home where we are invited.”

Sending workers is a sacred duty

As Seventh-day Adventists, we recognize the urgency to share the Good News. After all, at the core of our beliefs is the imminent return of Christ.

That being said, sending team members and gospel workers into the world becomes a sacred duty not only to spread the message of salvation, but also to prepare hearts for the soon return of our Lord.

When the meetings are over, the couple drive Jimmy and all the others back home.

“They work very hard to have as many people as possible join the church,” said Jimmy. “It’s amazing to see!”

The gospel workers you send out into the world are reaping a harvest! Thank you!

In this mission, we actively participate in fulfilling the prophetic vision, hastening the day when every tribe, tongue and nation will joyfully worship together in anticipation of Christ’s second advent.

Thank you for all you make possible to share Jesus and make His name known all around the world!

Thank you!
