MARCH 2021
SPECIAL EDITION
IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME Jesus declared that, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” Throughout His mission, he not only fed people spiritually, He broke bread with people of all walks of life. In doing so, they experienced His
love and received the blessing of inclusion, connection and hope. Jesus taught us that there is a link between physical and spiritual hunger. When He broke bread with His disciples before His crucifixion, He asked us to, “do this in remembrance of me.” Right now, in countries around the world, gospel workers combine the idea of breaking bread together with offering the opportunity to partake of The Bread of Life. This truth has been especially critical in this pandemic era. In Mongolia, gospel workers created a soup kitchen to serve their community and build relationships where Jesus is shared. In Columbia, gospel workers promote Bible study through radio spots focused on healthy living and highlighting them by selling whole wheat bread in the local market. In Jamaica, gospel workers give gifts of rice to neighbors when they invite them to study the Bible.

By following the pattern Jesus set, and with help from the faithful gifts of people like you, tens of thousands of hearts were drawn to our Savior and baptized into the family of God. What a glorious day it will be when we break bread together with our Savior, face-to-face!
