President’s Letter Now that most of the construction is behind us, I am sure many of you, like me, are looking forward to 2020. Living through such a massive construction project is not easy. While we all applaud the amazing choices and quality of the food which Chef Scott Ross and his team provided us from the QCCC Food Truck, we are more than ready to welcome 2020 and the service from the new Greenside Grille kitchen. We have only to look at what we have already achieved to appreciate the difference we have made to the Club experience. As of this writing, we have a spectacular Sports Center & Spa with a spacious new Cart Barn, a renovated pool area and an ideally located cart staging area between the Clubhouse and Sports Center. We have opened nine new tennis hydro-courts including an exhibition court and temporary bocce courts as well as a temporary croquet lawn. In February, our six new pickleball courts will be ready for play. In the main Clubhouse, we are enjoying a new entrance, a new Greenside Grille kitchen, a new private dining Wine Room, and renovated Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms with a Golf Lounge which will provide self-service food and beverages. Externally, we have made improvements to the Driving Range and added new landscaping around the buildings. The parking lot has been re-striped and proper lighting installed. More handicapped parking spaces have been added. The old Cart Barn and Golf Pro Shop have been demolished to make way for the Creekside Cafe (Halfway House), three bocce courts and regulation croquet lawn. In order to allow you, our Members to have a construction-free Spring, these projects will be completed during the summer months. The new views already visible from the Clubhouse and from the golf course are staggeringly beautiful. Food is also available in the Sports Center rotunda at the Grab and Go. Recognizing that many of you miss the Halfway House, we have good news for you. We are pleased to announce that the QCCC Food Truck will be moved close to where the Halfway House was formerly located and will provide on-course beverages and light fare when you make the turn throughout the rest of the season. This transformation of our Club could not have happened without the work of many, many people. Let me mention some of them: Former Club Presidents Magrann, Senter and Clayton provided the leadership to propose to the Membership that strategic planning was critical to transforming the Club’s amenities to attract and retain Members. With their support, the Strategic Planning Committee began meeting in 2015. After Hurricane Irma struck with such devastation in September 2017, the Committee, with a new sense of urgency, began meeting weekly to complete the design and develop a facilities plan. The recommended plan was approved by the Membership in March 2018.
Immediately after the vote, a Construction Committee, with George Domurot as Chair, was formed. Other Committee members included Pete Kloet, Gary Evans and me as Club representatives along with our Contractor, Don Garrett, and our Architect, Adrian Karapici. This Committee has worked tirelessly ever since and continues to meet weekly to oversee the complex process of completing our project plans. I would be remiss if I didn’t note that George Domurot’s experience with complex construction projects and his masterful leadership were essential to keeping the complex master plan on time and on budget. That he accomplished this, always with a sense of humor, deserves the appreciation of us all. Another person to whom we owe a huge debt of gratitude is Treasurer John L. Friend. John’s experience and advice were critical to the Finance Committee and former Treasurer Pete Kloet in helping to secure the loan from the bank in 2018 at favorable rates. Beginning in September through December, 2019, John has served selflessly as the Club’s Interim GM/ COO while assisting in the search for the right person to lead the Club forward and continuing his work as Club Treasurer. Once again, in John, we had the right person at exactly the right time and we appreciate all he has done on our behalf. Over the last months, your email inbox has been filled with announcements of new Members joining our Quail Creek Country Club family. Virtually, every one of our newest Members have told us the new facilities and services influenced their decision to join. This, plus other Membership initiatives, led by Membership Chair Tim Reid, have exceeded our expectations, resulting in 24 new Golf Members and 22 new Social/Sports Members over the last three months. The Club is more than buildings. It is our Management team and our Staff who keep everything working despite the disruptions. We are fortunate to have the best in the business. More than the new structures, it was the quality of the Club personnel who were critical in attracting our new GM/ COO, Chad Schultenover. Chad’s first day was January 6. I know you will give him a warm Quail Creek Country Club welcome. As we enter 2020, there is a lot happening. On January 19, we are planning a Grand Celebration, which will showcase our new Sports Center & Spa. In April, we will be hosting the U.S. Women’s Four-Ball Championship co-chaired by Members Bill Flowers and Ed Dyer. These two events bracket a jam-packed season sure to provide happy memories for all. As I close, a big thank you to everyone, Members and Staff, for staying focused on the vision while we went through the disruptions that construction brings. This project became much more than a renovation. Our Club has been transformed. I hope you share my expectations for a great 2020. To enter this new decade with wonderful Members and Staff enjoying a magnificent new facility makes all the hard work worthwhile.

2020 U.S. Woman’s Four-Ball Championship The excitement is starting to build around Quail Creek for the 2020 U.S. Woman’s Four-Ball Championship. The Championship is scheduled for April 24 - 29, 2020. More details on the Championship were presented in the recent Special Edition of Quail Trails. If you didn’t get one or misplaced yours, you can see Communications & Marketing for a copy. On December 2 - 3, we hosted two representatives from the U.S.G.A., Rachel Sadowski, Championship Director and Sarah Dusman, Championship Manager for two full days of meetings covering all aspects of the Championship. They were very happy with the preparations so far and obviously very impressed with the new facilities. Thus far, 44 of the 64 two person teams have qualified in 24 regional qualifiers. The list of qualifiers are below and continue onto the next two pages. These are some of the best amateur female golfers in the country, and some from around the world. We will have the opportunity to witness amazing golf and meet some wonderful young athletes. For a few of these players, this will be a stepping-stone to a professional career, and we’ll be able to follow them as they progress. For some of them, this opportunity to compete for a National Championship, will be the highlight of their golfing careers. In either case, our goal is to make their visit to Quail Creek the most memorable golfing experience of their lives. However, it is a volunteer effort and your help is needed. If you’re interested in being part of the Championship, please go the website at www.QuailcreekCC.com/four-ball and sign up. At last count, we had 64 volunteers registered. Our goal is 200. We invite you to be a part of Quail Creek history!

Now is the time to stop by the new Sports Center and Spa, and get acquainted with our wonderful new equipment, services, products and classes. In the Fitness Center, we are focused on you with our private and small group sessions in the gym, Group Cycle, Group Exercise, Pilates and TRX Studios. In January, we will be unveiling new, exciting programs for TPI and RacquetFit. Our complimentary season class schedule began on January 1. Our aquatics programming will also kick off in January. We will offer two complimentary aqua classes each week. We are expanding this year to include private or semi-private aqua exercise as an alternative to our classes and swim lessons for both adults and children. Our Spa is booming! I am so happy that our Members are taking advantage of some pampering and relaxation. With their busy social and sports calendars, it’s important to remember to take some time to wind-down. Don’t forget to check out the steam rooms in both the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms. We have added a eucalyptus blend in the steam rooms as an added benefit! Our Spa Boutique has a wonderful array of products and gifts. We are excited to share with you items from Circadia Skincare, Jane Iredale Cosmetics, Naples Soap Company, DoTerra Essential Oils and Tyler Candle Company. Our Spa Staff is well-versed in all the products and can assist you with all your needs. We are continuing our Physical Therapy with Dr. Jacob Madigan and are so happy to have this service available for our Members in the new Fitness area.
