General Manager’s Letter I want to thank you all for the kind words following the Town Hall presentation in September. I hope that the information and presentation brought a greater sense of transparency and understanding about Quail Creek. Chad Schultenover, GM/COO

Phase III is underway. In just a couple of weeks, they have made a lot of progress. At the time that I am writing this, we are finalizing the shape of the putting green and lawn areas. The forms are in place for the cart path along Creek #1 tee and will be ready for concrete in the coming days. Drawings are available on the Club’s website. We are preparing for the season and we are ready to kick things off with an all-committee orientation at the end of October. During the orientation, we will be touring both the front and back of the house of the entire Club including golf course maintenance facilities. In addition, we will be covering our governance system focusing on how committees and management work together to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Club. As we move into the season, COVID-19 will continue to be a challenge. Our staff is working hard to plan ahead and prepare. We want to let you know that many of the usual traditions may be a little different this year due to the virus. You may see changes to regular annual events such as plated meals versus buffets, staff manned food stations versus help yourself food stations, widely spaced tables and seating, and requests to wear masks when you are moving throughout the Club and not at a table eating. In any case, we will continue to do everything we can to keep members and staff safe, stay up to date with government information and communicate as things change. Sincerely, Chad Schultenover, CCM GM/COO

Phase III Construction Progress We were excited to announce that construction began for Phase III on September 2nd. The date coincided with the closing of the Creek Course and the opening of the Quail Course. We began by demolishing the cart path along the Creek 1st tee and the Creek itself.

The rain from Tropical Storm Sally kept the site quiet on Monday, September 14th, but work resumed on Tuesday the 15th. During this week, all the old cart paths were removed, the grading of the putting green and lawn took place and the placing of the forms for the new concrete cart paths began.

For your personal safety and that of others, please heed all construction signs, advisories and off-limits areas. The safety of Members, Staff and contractor personnel is our top priority. We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience. 4

Phase III Construction Progress The site began to pick up steam when the old cart path was removed and new drainage was placed. The following week, they finished the drainage, and started working on the putting green, lawn area, irrigation and cart path.

The area is starting to take shape more and more each day. The entire putting green and lawn are now all graded and ready for layers of good sub-surface mix to encourage strong root systems and great drainage. The cart paths have been formed and are ready for concrete.

One month later, construction continues to move along nicely. The major events during the first week of October have been concrete installation, as well as the putting green and lawn being sprigged. The putting green is made of Tiff-Eagle Bermuda and the lawn is made of Bimini Bermuda. The surrounding sod is Celebration Bermuda grass. Irrigation and drainage are complete in these areas. We also have been meeting with our landscape architect to complete the landscaping plans. Fall 2020 ~ Quail Trails

Membership Hello from your Membership Team at Quail Creek! The membership drive concluded on Sept. 30th – and it ended with a bang – 12 New Applications received on the last day! We know that we blew up everyone’s e-mail; however, we post the prospective members as soon as we get them, as they are excited to get their membership started! Tracey Maranto, Director of Membership tmaranto@quailcreekcc.com 239-254-7423

Teri Brodie, Membership Coordinator tbrodie@quailcreekcc.com 239-254-7418

To give you some perspective – we reset our golf numbers as of July 1st, and have issued OVER 50 new golf numbers – Associates, Class A, and some current Social Members converting as well! Look for the numbers to jump as they start in the next few months as season arrives. For our many new Members - Welcome! It’s a great time to be at Quail Creek, and we are glad that you have joined our Family. Look for a welcome reception in the next few months so that you can meet other new Members as well. More details to come soon! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions! Thank you all for your friendly faces, warm smiles and uplifting comments (and e-mails to us) as we tour prospective Members. No doubt, you’ve seen A LOT of us these days touring throughout the Clubhouse, Fitness Center, Courts and Golf Courses. It hasn’t allowed us as much time as we’d like to walk through the Greenside Grille and socialize when you are enjoying lunch or coming in for dinner, but rest assured we’ve been hard at work spreading the word about Quail Creek and increasing membership. As season approaches, we will get more of you involved to play with Prospective Members, thanks to those who have volunteered. We are always looking for more volunteers – Golf & Court Sports – all abilities, singles & couples welcome. Thanks to all who have welcomed our newest Members into their golf groups. Also, thank you for your referrals! So many of our incoming Members come to us from your ‘home clubs’ up North or local neighbors, Junior Golf families working with Spencer or Thor, or people who saw us prior to the expansion. Our Mailing and Social Media marketing efforts have definitely helped to get word out as well, at a very modest expense. And lastly – while the Membership Team gets all the credit – it really is each and every employee here at the Club who contribute to the success. They always offer a friendly greeting and share a kind smile, provide exceptional service, answers questions and assist with tours, and keep our Club so beautiful! THANK YOU ALL! We look forward to seeing you around the Club – Tracey Maranto Director of Membership

On The Green

Jon Balyeat, PGA Director of Golf

As we prepare for the upcoming season, I find myself looking back to all we achieved and endured this past season. The 2019-2020 season was unlike any other and one that will not soon be forgotten. The completion of our new Sports Center, the opening of our new practice facilities and a great start to our event season had us primed for a fantastic year. We entered the month of March and everything changed due to COVID-19. The Men’s Invitational was cancelled for the first time in Club history, the remainder of the Association schedules were cancelled, and the Club lost the opportunity to host a USGA Championship for the second time due to events outside of our control. The season that started with such promise and great success, was brought to an abrupt stop. As we began to adjust our daily operations and prepared improved policies and procedures for the “new normal” one thing was evident, the Members of Quail Creek Country Club have an unwavering commitment to the game of golf and our Club as a whole. This trend continued through the summer months where we saw a significant increase in member rounds played totaling nearly three times the average over the past two years. The amount of support and willingness to adjust throughout the challenging times was fantastic to see and truly appreciated. Good Clubs tend to make it through difficult times, but great Clubs find a way to excel and we are all very fortunate to be part of this great Club. Looking ahead to the 2020-2021 season, we are focused on providing the best possible Member experience as we continue to navigate the uncertain challenges we may face. There is a full event schedule in place for all Association and Club events. We will host interactive workshops covering any questions or concerns regarding the new Tee Time Management System. We will be introducing a few new offerings to connect members with our Professional staff including all new instructional series, as well as introducing a season long “Play with the Pro” competition. The upcoming season may present its challenges, but our Club has proven its resilience time and time again. We are looking forward to a fantastic year and the opportunity to continue to elevate our Club to one of the best Southwest Florida has to offer. I can’t wait to see all of you soon! Sincerely, Jon Balyeat, PGA Director of Golf

Courtside

Jose Pastrello, Director of Court Sports

Summer in Naples has been hot and humid as expected. The COVID-19 has made us rethink our ways of doing things and has helped us evolve as a club. With tennis and pickleball being considered safe activities, our members wasted no time in getting out on the courts, which resulted in filling up all 15 courts (9 tennis and 6 pickleball) several times during the summer. Our busy summer has not made us stop projects that we had previously scheduled for the year. With the pandemic taking place, maintaining a healthy and safe environment for our members and staff is our priority. Throughout the summer, we have been sanitizing the chairs and tables daily; sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer have been available throughout the day. We have also been scheduling courts strategically to avoid contact among members and minimizing chances of exposure. Some other projects have been the tennis courts maintenance, canopies being pressure washed and our new app and website. Our courts are now available for booking through the app on your phone. In August, we purchased two new ball machines: one for tennis and one for pickleball. These ball machines have been extremely well received and have been used several times throughout the day. Talking about pickleball, it has been taking off quite well at QCCC. The courts have been seeing a lot of people coming out to play in organized games, private lessons and clinics, or just using the ball machine. We look forward to hosting a pickleball exhibition soon, introduce more members to the game and new pickleball events. Tennis has seen a lot more court usage during slow months of the year. Our tennis clinics have been extremely popular and we have seen many members giving tennis another chance. Please keep in mind that if you wish to be part of a tennis or a pickleball clinic, you need to contact the Court Sports Staff. Bocce season is also coming up and I know it will keep on growing from here. Our temporary courts will be used until Phase 3 is completed and we can move to the new facility. Our bocce players deserve new courts and I am very thankful on how patient they have been throughout this process. We have a calendar filled with fun events for the upcoming season! We look forward to seeing you out on the courts! Sincerely, Jose Pastrello, Director of Court Sports

Fitness, Wellness & Spa Since reopening post-COVID-19 the teams have done their best to get back to ‘normal’. The Fitness center is back to normal hours of operation Monday- Sunday 5:00 am - 8:00 pm. It is great to see everyone cleaning the machines after use and began maintaining social distancing. Luanne Smith, Director of Fitness, Wellness & Spa

New class offerings with on-line sign up with begin in October and more classes will be added in January. The Spa is open by appointment only with 30 minutes in between each appointment to clean properly and prepare for the next appointment. We have the hypervolt, hypervolt plus, sphere, mini sphere, venom and viper 2.0 pieces to test out. All of the pieces are available for purchase in the rotunda or can be ordered and here within a week. The Spa is adding some new products from Spartina, Tyler Candle, Coola-sunscreen/suncare products and Supracore exfoliating pieces. We are offering new services in the spa as well. Thor Parrish, PGA had a busy summer of adding new knowledge to his training resume! Thor is now a Specialized PGA Professional in Teaching and Coaching, a classification that less than 1% of PGA professionals have, and shows his dedication to helping our members play their best golf! Thor is also becoming a Master Trainer for Technogym and to help them grow their efforts in the “Golf Fitness” industry. Whether you need help on the course or in the gym set up a time to work with Coach Thor to hit your goals! Joan Stagg and Luanne Smith are currently enrolled in a new Pilates Training. It is The Pilates Standard-they are taking the first class to be taught in the United States. TPS is an international Pilates teacher training school. Dr. Jake Madigan is our Physical Therapist. He has a BS in Exercise and Sports Science and his Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. He has been with Quail Creek for three seasons. He is TPI certified to better understand the biomechanics of the golf swing and it’s demands on the human body. His last continuing education course was on vertigo, a neurological condition the makes one dizzy. As the need for physical therapy grows in our community and the busy season approaches, we want to announce the addition of Jackie Slater to the Physical Therapy team. She helped cover some of Dr. Jake’s clients this summer while he was away. Jackie is a Physical Therapist Assistant and has worked in various environments including hospital in-patient, comprehensive rehab, skilled nursing and out-patient. She specializes in orthopedic conditions and rehab, and holds certifications in lymphedema, neuro-re-education and Graston Technique. Jackie will have allotted time for treating PT patients and will continue her work personal training, teaching class and working in the spa. The scheduling of physical therapy appointments will continue as usual and should be directed to Dr. Jake at (608) 575-0949 or email him at physicaltherapist@quailcreekcc.com. Give us a call in the Fitness Center or Spa when you are ready to return and get back to work or get your weekly indulgence going. Food & Beverage Greetings to you all. Where ever you might be, your food and beverage team at Quail Creek Country Club wishes you all the best in these difficult and uncertain times. We hope you travel safe and we can’t wait to serve you.

Scott Ross, Executive Chef & Director of Food & Beverage Operations

COVID-19 has definitely put changes in motion at your Club. There isn’t any denying it. The most popular question we are being asked at this time is how we will execute the dining and events you look forward to each season. I want to try to put your mind at ease. Our plan is to take the season a month or two at a time and see what changes come about with regulations and safety. We’ve planned the calendar full and have not held back on keeping the Club busy and exciting. We’ll do more a la carte dining and when possible food stations that can be safely served by your staff. Labor Day was the first event we hosted since March that wasn’t plated or to-go. We asked members to wear their masks while visiting the food stations and the staff walked each member through the food stations and served them safely. There was social distancing, variety, great food and great service with almost 170 members in attendance. It turned into being our most attended Labor Day event to date. The food and beverage team certainly appreciated your support. Lastly, we have a lot of information resources with our professional associations and we participate in frequent communication with our colleagues at other clubs and resorts. We’ll do what is best for our Club and our membership, I assure you. Please know your team is putting in the effort and utilizing all the information we have to keep you safe, busy, and enjoying your Club. It’s your home away from home and while here, we want you as happy as possible. We look forward to serving you soon and often. Sincerely, Scott Ross Executive Chef & Director of Food & Beverage Operations
