General Manager’s Letter Happy New Year! If you are like me, you are happy to see 2020 in our rear view and are looking ahead with optimism about 2021.
Chad Schultenover, GM/COO
Much like Quail Creek, I experienced a lot of change personally this year. I moved my family from PA to FL. Anyone that has had to move with young kids knows how difficult that can be. Combine that with a pandemic and you have yourself quite a challenge. Quail Creek entered the phase of post-construction, experienced the challenges with leadership turnover, and had the challenge of managing through the pandemic. I learned a lot about myself, personally and professionally, during this transition. I know that Quail Creek has learned a lot as well. This year we began to focus on more strategy with the Board. While the income statement and operations are very important, it is not where the Board should be putting their time. They need to focus on the future of the Club and improving the Club’s balance sheet health. Creating plans and directions to improve the total Club net worth is important. Planning for future projects and creating capital reserves to limit assessments and keep capital dues at a reasonable level is the way to get there. Between the Board and the Strategic planning committee, I am sure that we will devise a plan worthy of your approval in the coming months. Until COVID is completely gone or under control according to the CDC and our government, we will be wearing masks for the foreseeable future. As more members will return after the first of the year, we will again need to heighten awareness and provide reminders about wearing a mask. Please make sure that you have a mask when you enter the Clubhouse and when moving about inside the Clubhouse. Your mask can be removed at your table when dining. Our staff is asked to provide you with a mask if you do not have one. When a certain dining event has food stations where our masked and gloved employees are serving you, we ask that you wear a mask when in line for the safety of your fellow members and our staff. I am thankful to be an employee of Quail Creek and I am looking forward to the future of this year and the Club. Sincerely, Chad Schultenover, CCM GM/COO

Phase III Construction Progress Phase III construction is moving along nicely and a lot of progress has been made in the last three months. In the next few months, the new Creekside Cafe will start to sprout out of the ground and will be a welcomed addition to our outside entertainment space! 10-9-2020
Things are rapidly progressing. To date, all the concrete along the Creek is completed. The lawn and the putting green are starting to green up. Bocce work starts today, while we grade the fire truck lane along the building.
10-23-2020
This week we have begun to roll and mow the putting green and the lawn. The Bocce court concrete foundation has been poured. Work will begin to move quickly around Bocce. Concrete curbs and more cart paths have been poured. Shaping around the fire pit area will begin next week. 11-6-2020
The Bocce courts have been filled in with the Har-Tru Clay and the fire pit area is beginning to take shape. Pavers are going to arrive next week and will be set around the Bocce and fire pit areas. The putting green looks great and the new turf is being installed around all finished areas.
For your personal safety and that of others, please heed all construction signs, advisories and off-limit areas. The safety of Members, Staff and contractor personnel is our top priority. We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience. 4

11-20-20
The landscaping and trees are being planted this week. Pavers, lighting and covers are being installed around the bocce courts. The areas for the new Creekside Cafe and Firepits will continue to take shape as construction is expected to start soon.
11-27-20
A lot has happened this week. The pavers around Bocce are complete and more landscaping was added. The early start permit for the Creekside Café was approved and work will begin on Monday.
12-4-20 — 12-21-20
More concrete for the cart path has been poured and will be ready to use on December 5th. This means we will no longer have a re-routing of the cart path along the Greenside Grille. The rough-in plumbing for the Creekside Café has moved along well this week. We hope to pour the foundation next week. Bocce is nearly complete with a few minor items to finish. Our Creekside Café is really starting to look like a building! The trusses are on site and will be ready to be moved into place.

On The Green
Jon Balyeat, PGA Director of Golf
As we transition away from 2020 and look ahead to the new year, we are looking forward to continued progress and a new sense of normality. The past 9 months have presented numerous challenges and forced all of us to look at our daily routines in a different light. We are fortunate to be where we are today, and I truly believe Quail Creek Country Club will emerge stronger in 2021. Golf has proven to play an important role for all of us over the past 9 months. It has given us the opportunity to spend time with old friends and create a few new ones as well. It has given us a reprieve from our daily challenges and provided an outlet to feel safe in a time of uncertainty. As we enter the new year, we are excited to continue our Association events, which have all started with record numbers. The Women’s Golf Association (WGA), Lady Niners Golf Association (LNGA) and the Men’s Golf Association (MGA) are committed to providing high quality events with improved safety protocols in place for all participants in 2021. Our Associations are a great way to strengthen and expand your friendships, while also competing in unique events with fun and exciting formats. We are encouraging all our new Members to join an Association and get involved with these great offerings that set Quail Creek apart from other Clubs in the area. Along with our Association events, we are excited to offer an array of Club events in 2021. We will host our traditional Fun Sundays, Mixed Pinehurst, Mixed Member-Guest and Club Championships this year, but have also added a season long Play with the Pro Event. The Play with the Pro event will begin in January and run through the end of April. Three Members will have the opportunity to pair up with a member of the Professional Staff in a 2 Best Ball of 4 NET competition. Dates and times will be published in the Sports Center and all Members are encouraged to participate in this new event. With the addition of our new Members, the continued support of our current Members, the Club’s commitment to providing the best possible experience for our Members and the role golf will continue to play over the next several months, I am truly looking forward to sharing a new year with all of you! Sincerely, Jon Balyeat, PGA Director of Golf

Courtside Our season is at full swing and we are excited about the opportunity to show you new programs and events. The Summer weather is behind us and this is the best time of the year to be in Southwest Florida. Jose Pastrello, Director of Court Sports
Our three new bocce courts are almost done, and we cannot be more excited about it! The courts will have an underground water system, which is the latest technology and provides the most consistent play on a Har-Tru surface. Also, the courts will have LED lights, which will provide night play and will be perfect to extend play times. The tennis program continues to grow, and our courts are busier than ever. Our organized games have been strong, and we have seen a lot of new faces on the tennis courts. Our intra-club league has been a great success and we will continue to bring new events to our Members. Also, the juniors have been a tremendous success to our teaching staff, more and more families are on the tennis courts and we could not be happier. Pickleball has been our greatest addition! With all the challenges that we have faced during the summer and COVID in March, we had to postpone our first exhibition. On November 19th we hosted our first ever pickleball exhibition and the event was a great success. We had the opportunity to bring professional pickleball players to show our Members what the game looks like at the highest level. With so much interest in pickleball, I expect great things to happen! The multipurpose lawn is also something that we are looking forward to opening! That will give our croquet players a chance to play on a much better surface. We will also be able to be creative and bring new events and activities into our club. It has been a very challenging year, but I cannot thank you enough for being so kind and supportive of our program! We are looking forward to a great 2021! Sincerely, Jose Pastrello, Director of Court Sports

They are located right here in Naples off of Santa Barbara Blvd. Several local chefs (Chef Vencenzo - Osteria Tulia, Chef Michael – Naples Sailing and Yacht Club, Chef Juan from Royal Poinciana) and I have partnered with Colusa farms to use the new “smart garden” systems located at our loading dock and on the Greenside Grille patio. Proudly grown right here on property, our bartenders will be able to pick fresh herbs for their specialty cocktails and our chefs will be able to feature “chefs garden” lettuces and vegetables picked the same day they are served. With the Florida growing season lasting roughly October through May, you should be able to eat, taste, and enjoy some of the freshest there is to offer. Look for “Chef’s Garden” items on our specials in the Greenside Grille. Outdoor dining at the club is more popular than ever. Seeing the trend and listening to our membership, we’ve relocated several of our upcoming dining occasions to the Greenside Grille patio. The ambiance outdoors this time of year is fantastic. In addition to the natural pleasantries Florida provides in the winter we’ve added a few of our own. Stop by and check out the newly installed natural gas lamps along the back wall of the patio or reserve a table next to the Greenside Grille fire feature. We look forward to seeing and serving you soon. Sincerely, Scott Ross Executive Chef & Director of Food & Beverage Operations
