WELCOME!

A Letter from THE Director Dear Parents,

Camp Philosophy & Goals

The Rancho Family YMCA is excited to kick off the 2015 Summer Camp Season! We strive to create the best possible summer experience for you and your child. We understand that you want a safe, fun and structured environment in which your children can stay active.

Our goal is to introduce the campers to as many positive experiences as possible and that they will foster creativity and individuality in each camper, and encourage an awareness of themselves and others.

Let your child explore and challenge themselves cognitively, physically and socially in one of the many camp options offered by the Y.

Our goals are that campers will: • Grow personally and gain a greater sense of his or her own worth • Be inspired to live by the character values; caring, honesty, respect and responsibility • Learn to appreciate diversity • Become better leaders • Have fun!

Thank you for trusting us to be a part of your family this summer!

Best Summer Ever

Sincerely,

Summer Camps at Rancho Family YMCA are separated into four villages by grade* level. Camps in each village provide campers the opportunity to discover, explore, create and learn with their peers.

By choosing the Y you are joining a day camp program that is American Camp Association (ACA) accredited. We meet the highest standards in the nation’s day camping industry by passing over 200 requirements.

What Parents Say About Y Camp

“Most importantly Jordan feels included and he is given opportunities. He loves to see the camp staff and looks forward to meeting new friends each week!”

There will be no Y-vouchers or refunds for missed days of camp, sick days, or dismissal from camp due to behavior.

“She loved everything about camp. Learned several new songs that she is singing constantly, played some new games that she did not learn last summer and loved extended camp. She did not want to leave, even though I picked her up at 6pm!”

“They were burnt out by the end of the day, which was great! There was a different/multiple activities every day. YMCA definitely kept them busy and made their summer fun! Thanks!” 5

“Everyone (staff & campers) were very good to my daughter. This camp experience was very well organized and efficient for me with drop offs and pick ups. I set this up last minute and was very pleased with Ms. Diane and her team helping my daughter get set up with an Inclusion Specialist for the week. She put my husband and I at peace while our daughter was with her 7 hours a day. Thank you to the entire YMCA staff for making this such a great experience for our daughter and entire family.”
