The 4|Riverton Country Club

lightning detection system will provide the following notifications to golfers: • One Long Blast – Suspend play immediately and seek shelter at the nearest location. • Three Short Blast – Play may be resumed. GRATUITIES Riverton Country Club is a tipping facility and gratuities are appropriate for excellent service in the Outside Operations and Locker Room areas. These gratuities represent a significant percentage of these staff members compensation. Please note that the outside operations staff (excluding starters) pool their gratuities for the entire day. LOCKER ROOM SERVICES Our locker rooms are available during normal club hours of operation. Towels offered in the locker room must remain in the clubhouse and are not to be taken on the golf course. Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the locker room without parent supervision. Shoe cleaning services are offered free of charge. Additionally, spike changing services are offered for a fee of $15 billed to your member account. It is requested that members and guests change their shoes in the locker rooms and guest lockers are always available for your guest’s convenience. The annual locker fee is $100 and will be billed to your member account in April. GOLF BAG STORAGE Golf bag storage is available for all members. A fee of $110 per golf bag in storage will be billed to your member account in April. Additionally, please avoid hitting shots into the 17th fairway and aim longer shots towards the last flag. Use of the range is included in your annual dues. PACE OF PLAY Excellent pace of play has always been a cornerstone of the golf experience at Riverton Country Club. Our members and their guests have come to enjoy the normal 3 hour and 50-minute pace of play. To help us continue to manage and improve upon this integral part of the experience, RCC is happy to announce that we have recently installed a new pace of play management system 5|Riverton Country Club

2021 Golf Rules & Calendar

called Fairway IQ. Fairway IQ will give us a real-time, birds-eye view of where everyone is on the golf course, what their pace of play is, and how their pace of play is impacting the experience of others on the course. Fairway IQ will give us actionable data to help improve your golf experience and help you achieve 3 hour and 50-minute rounds on a regular basis. With this improved data, we updated our Pace of Play policy and are holding our golfers accountable to the 3 hour and 50-minute pace of play. If a group fails to hold their position on the course by losing more than one clear hole to the group in front of them, the group following has the right to play through and the slow group should invite the faster group to do so. If the slow group does not invite the group behind to play through, the faster group should contact the golf shop. Pace of Play Policy • All rounds of golf expected to be played in 3 hours and 50 minutes or less. We will be using the Fairway IQ system to track pace of play and help each group achieve this goal. • If your group is falling behind the pace of play target, a member of the Golf Staff will come out to speak with you and help you get into the proper position. Please adhere to all request of the Golf Staff. o Remedies that the Golf Staff may ask of you include improving your pace, letting another group play through, or skipping a hole. • Habitual slow players will be penalized and will have access to the course limited or revoked Those exceeding the required pace of play by greater than 15 minutes will be subject to the following actions. o 1st Offense: Informal mail informing you of your slow play and written request to be conscious of your pace and how it impacts others. You will be reminded of further disciplinary action at this time. o 2nd Offense: Written warning letter from the club Disciplinary Committee. If you violate the club’s pace of play policy again you will lose access to the golf course prior to 2:00 p.m. for two weeks. o 3rd Offense: Golf access restricted to after 2:00 p.m. for two weeks. o 4th Offense: Golf access will be suspended for two weeks. o 5th Offense: Disciplinary Committee will discuss appropriate further action. o May 1 Implementation Date: To help our members and their guests become accustomed to the new pace of play program, we will be using the month of April as a warning only introductory period. Anyone playing in greater than 3 hours and 50 minutes will receive an email informing them of their pace of play. Disciplinary actions will not begin to take place until May 1, 2021. • If you are waiting on the group ahead of you and your pace comes in over the allocated pace of play, you will not be penalized. Fairway IQ tracks the number of minutes that you waited on the group ahead and groups that are waiting and forced slow will not be penalized.

STARTING All play is to start from the first tee except with permission of the professional staff. Any groups wishing to start from anywhere other than the first tee must contact the Golf Shop in advance for approval. RCC BAG TAGS All players using the golf course must have their RCC bag tag displayed. Those without tags may be asked to leave the course. Additional bag tags may be requested through the Golf Shop. COURSE CLOSING At the discretion of the Green Chairman, Course Superintendent or Golf Professional, the course may be closed at any time. In such instances, play will not be permitted on any part of the course until reopened. USE OF THE COURSE For the safety of everyone, any activities other than golf are prohibited at all times. Activities such as exercising, fishing, dog walking and the like are prohibited. All play must be registered with the Professional staff and begin from the first tee, unless otherwise approved. Please remember, all practice is restricted to designated practice areas. Prior to teeing off, all players must check in with a member of the Outside Operations Staff. HOLE IN ONE INSURANCE POLICY A hole in one is one of the greatest accomplishments of any golfer’s career. It is customary for the player who makes a hole in one to buy everyone at the club a drink that day. Most players worry about the cost associated with this custom. Because we do not want the potential burden to overshadow a golfer’s extraordinary accomplishment, we have enacted this policy: • Members with full golf privileges will be charged $7 at the beginning of the year to be enrolled in the Hole in One Insurance Policy. This fee will be charged once per year or whenever the fund drops below $500. • Hole In One Insurance Policy Coverages: o A commemorative plaque for the player who achieved the hole in one o The entire bar tab, covering one drink for each member who comes to the Kriss Room, Gin’s Mill Bar, or patio following the event o Free drinks may not be redeemed until the player comes into the bar and the tab shuts down when the player leaves o This insurance covers the member’s entire family and guests of members. • HIO insurance is mandatory for all members without a round of golf limit. o Golf, Single Golf, Corporate Golf, Senior Golf, Young Professional, Intermediate, Junior Individual, Senior Gold, Clergy, Women’s Golf, and Women’s Senior Golf • Those in limited golfing categories may “opt-in” to the insurance policy in writing via email to kduffy@rivertoncc.com. • This policy covers only holes-in-one made at Riverton Country Club and drinks must be redeemed on the day of the event.

WORLD HANDICAP SYSTEM (WHS) • Scores must be posted on the same day that they are played. • The Handicap Committee will regularly audit the posting of scores and may post penalty scores for those who do not post. • Handicaps used for tournaments will be at the discretion of the Golf Committee. • A WHS handicap is necessary to participate in any tournament. If a player does not have this handicap, they may be approved if they have a letter from the Handicap Chairman of their previous club or if a handicap has been manually computed by the Handicap Chairman or Golf Professional. • Unless otherwise indicated, maximum allowable handicap for women is 36. Maximum allowable handicap for men is 30. • The annual handicap fee of $35 will be charged to your member account in April. THE LOOP  Holes 1 – 7, 15, 16, 17, & 18 are known as The Loop.  Players playing the loop may post a 9-hole score consisting of holes 1-7, 15 & 16.  Loop Guidelines: o Players playing the golf course in consecutive order always have priority on the course. o When coming off hole 7, if there is a group anywhere on holes 14 and 15, you must continue to play holes 8 and 9, and the loop is closed to you at this time. o If you decide to make the turn to play The Loop, you have no standing on the golf course and must allow any group to play through. o Please remember, when starting play, there are no guarantees that you will be able to play the loop. Players may only make the turn to the loop if conditions allow. o We ask you never try to squeeze in to play the loop when conditions do not allow, as you will almost always have a negative impact on another member. o The only way the loop works is if we all have great consideration for our fellow members and understand that those playing the course in consecutive order always have priority. WALK-UP TIME QUEUE • Walk-up times are available on Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. – 10:22 a.m. There are 24 tee times during the walk-up times and once these 24 times are filled or the time has passed, the walk-up window for the morning will be closed. This will be announced to the membership via text message. o If you would like to receive these text messages, please be sure for text GOLFRCC to 40691 to opt into the golf specific text messages. • Tee times from 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. are reserved for Primary members only. • Tee times from 10:00 a.m. – 10:22 a.m. can be used by Primary or Non-primary members. • The tee sheet will open each weekend with the first tee time being 10:30 a.m. • During morning walk-up times, all play is on a first come-first served basis. For your group 8|Riverton Country Club

2021 Golf Rules & Calendar

to be entered into the queue, three of the four players from your group must be present in the vicinity of the 1st tee and ready to play. If you are a single looking for a game, please check-in with the starter and they will add you to the queue in the first available group.

WEEKEND WALK-UP REGISTRATION Members can pre-register for weekend morning walk-up times. For each weekend morning, we will have an online sign-up that is available under Event Sign-Up in Foretees. This will serve as a virtual staging area/queue for members in advance of arrival. This will serve as an area for members looking for a game, only have two or three players and are looking to round out their foursome, or just to let the staff know who will be showing up in the morning in your foursome. Not only will this provide an easy location for members who are looking to find a game but will allow the staff to provide better service by knowing who is coming to the club each morning. Please remember that this is NOT REQUIRED and DOES NOT GUARANTEE you a position in the walk-up window. This is simply a tool to help the formation of games and enhance camaraderie on weekend mornings. JUNIOR & DEPENDENT WEEKEND ACCESS Junior and dependent members playing with their parents may play beginning at 10:30 a.m. Certified Junior and dependent members playing without their parents are restricted until one day in advance from booking tee times before 2:00 p.m. on weekends. CADDIE REQUEST SYSTEM We know that many members like to take advantage of the caddie program that RCC offers and to continue to improve the caddie program and member satisfaction, we have made some changes to the program and how caddies are reserved. • Caddies will no longer be waiting around looking for loops. All caddies will be assigned by advanced request via the Foretees app. • All requests must be submitted by 7:30 a.m. the day prior to your tee time. Please remember that simply putting “caddie” as your mode of transportation in your tee time does not submit a caddie request. • To make your caddie request, navigate to the Golf section in the Foretees app and click on “Caddie Request Form.” • After completing the request, you will receive an email or text message to confirm that your request has been fulfilled. Please keep in mind that the more advanced notice you can provide, the greater chance we will be able to fill your specific request. • If you have any questions about the caddie program, please let me know! MEMBERSHIP The Primary Golf Member will be the name posted on the golf list effective April 1st. Membership privilege questions should be directed to the Head Golf Professional or Director of Membership. TOURNAMENT RULES

RIVERTON COUNTRY CLUB ETIQUETTE GUIDELINES • • • • • • • • • • •

• • • • • •

Replace your divot taken from the fairway. Use sand only when you cannot use the divot. Respect neighboring residents and yell “fore” if you hit a wild shot. Never hit a shot from adjacent property. Be sensitive when retrieving a ball from adjacent property. Place trash in trash cans and pick up trash seen on the property. Leave bunkers in better condition that you found them. Follow all posted cart rules. Never jump-around between holes. Keep all four wheels of the cart on the cart path when using it. NEVER take a cart near a green or tee and avoid all low-lying areas, especially in drainage areas. Pull carts are to remain off greens and tee boxes. Pick the right set of tees. Do not let your ego get in the way of having a good time— pick the set of tees at a yardage you can handle. Worry about the group in front of you and the pace rating and avoid the “no one is pushing us” mentality. If you play in 4 hours and 45 minutes, there is no way anyone behind you can play any faster if there are consecutive tee times. Remember, the correct position is behind the group in front of you, not in front of the group behind you. The pace of play rating for the course is 3 hours and 50 minutes. Failure to maintain a proper pace of play negatively impacts the experience of others. Keep your eye on the ball. Many lost balls are a result of not marking the flight with a landmark, or just plain not looking after you hit your shot. Keep score by the tee of the next hole. Fix your ball mark and one other on every green. Locker Rooms have been provided for your convenience, please refrain from changing shoes in the parking lot.

JUNIOR GOLF CERTIFICATION In order for a Junior Golfer under 18 years of age to earn unsupervised, individual access to the facilities at Riverton CC they must become certified. Certification requires several steps, and this process is necessary to ensure that Riverton junior golfers have demonstrated adequate golf skills, thorough knowledge of proper etiquette, and a working knowledge of the rules of golf. To achieve certified status, a junior golfer must meet the following parameters: • • • • • •

The junior must be at least 10 years old and a full golf or junior individual member. The junior golfer must shoot a score of 55 (male) or 60 (female) or better from the #3 tees for 9 holes. The junior must pass an online rules and etiquette test. The junior must pass a live rules and etiquette test (administered when they attempt the playing portion of certification). Juniors must notify the golf shop that they are attempting certification prior to teeing off. Juniors attempting certification must have someone approved by the Golf Committee serve as a marker during their round. A junior may only attempt the playing portion of the certification process once every two weeks.

Please remember that the certification process is stringent in order to ensure that our junior golfers are properly prepared to enjoy facility privileges. Additionally, the process will help us develop players who are fully cognizant of the responsibilities that come with being a RCC junior golfer. Juniors are held to the same standard of etiquette and behavior as adults—privileges will be reviewed and may be revoked for any breach of the dress code, playing regulations, practice facility regulations, golf cart usage guidelines, quality of play parameters, phone usage rules, care of the course guidelines, and the like. Certified juniors will be permitted to play in any nonprimary member times as long as there are no other players waiting to tee off. Certified juniors may play anytime during the week and book tee times seven (7) days in advance. On weekends, they may play with their parents or may book one day in advance in any open tee time.
