Realty Executives kicked off the year with a new speaker series designed to take Execs on a deep dive into various subject matters. Hosted by an expert in his or her field, this ongoing series includes topics such as creating fulfillment in life and work, how to become a social media influencer, what to know about the mortgage industry, and more. Executives joined us each Tuesday during the month of February as we launched the series. Stay tuned for further training opportunities throughout the year!

Hello Executives!

This has been an incredible year for our brokerages, sales Executives, and affiliate partners. Our achievements did not happen by chance, but rather through perseverance, hard work, experience, and leadership.

I am proud to announce that our network’s sales productivity once again ranked us as the second-best national, full-service brokerage brand, surpassing competitors such as Compass, EXP, HomeSmart, Keller Williams, and Realty One Group.

Other notable accomplishments during the year include steady growth in our luxury program, Realty Executives Collection, the launch of our TV commercial and sales campaign through our Adwerx partnership, expansion into key markets like Nashville and Green Bay, the creation of a new Realty Executives Certified Concierge Expert program with nearly 300 registrants, and a sold-out, in-person Realty Executives Annual Conference that received high praise from attendees.

In the real estate industry, change is the only constant. We face a shifting market going into 2023 as we move from the euphoria of these last two years of sales “flying off the shelves” fueled by historically low mortgage rates. The headlines appear to be ominous with mortgage rates rising to over 7% and the buyer and seller markets being at an impasse when determining to pull the trigger on listing and buying decisions.

However, this is where the Realty Executives network excels. Our Executives leverage experience, a deep knowledge base, and the power of our network to provide truly professional real estate services to prospects and clients. We have witnessed the decline of those without the necessary fundamentals be a full-service real estate brokerage and professional. Realty Executives has weathered eight significant recessions over our 57-year history and will continue to do so by making decisions that support the success of our Executives and the stability and health of our brand.

The secret to our success at Realty Executives is the sum of our parts. We are in this for the long-game, and I am excited to see what we can accomplish together in 2023!

Nearly all business professionals are familiar with the maxim, “in business, if you aren’t growing, you’re dying.” Real estate agents are entrepreneurs and, as such, understand the need to constantly innovate and adapt to grow. Expanding their books of business, increasing the number of transactions they close, and increasing revenue is vital to creating long-term success. Additionally, building a personal brand through networking, marketing, and other activities is essential to remaining relevant in the local real estate market.

I have been an active and high-performing real estate agent for the past 5 years. I am one of the top-producing Executives in the Realty Executives Diversified Regina office, working relentlessly for clients 24/7. Recently I transitioned into the role of a team leader.

When I joined Realty Executives Diversified, I was a fresh, brand-new agent that had zero experience in home sales. The training provided to me by my Brokers helped me establish my career.

Chad Tameling, my broker, has always seen potential in me and my work. He supported the growth of my business by encouraging me to create my own team within the brokerage. Last year my team became the highest-producing team in the company. Whenever I am in doubt, my brokers are there for me. Brokerage support is the key factor in my success.

Today, my team is a group of young, enthusiastic agents who are willing to go above and beyond for clients. Our mantra is to provide unmatched devotion to our clients and to have extensive knowledge of the areas we serve. We specialize in residential real estate with a greater focus on newer communities/developments in the far east, north, and south Regina.

Our business is based on tons of referrals from satisfied clients and word-of-mouth. Being Regina residents for the past 10+ years, our intimate knowledge of the city and experiences of living here gives us enthusiasm and desire to help our clients make our home their home as well.

Being immigrants ourselves, we recognize the struggles and stress one goes through when buying real estate that satisfies day-to-day needs. We listen to our clients’ wants and needs to achieve the best outcome in every transaction and strive to ensure that the buying or selling process is fun, easy, and stress-free.

My first introduction to Realty Executives started with a BOOM. I was sitting in a suite on top of the Bellagio, looking out the window, and watching the fountains blast water into the air. My phone rings and I hear, “‘Dale, this is John Dwyer from Realty Executives. I’ve heard a lot about you and want you to join our company.” Call it kismet, but how could anyone have picked a more fitting moment to make a call that would change the course of my life?

Just three days after my co-agent and I joined Realty Executives, we went to the first franchise convention. It was open to broker/owners and agents. We met Outlier’s CEO, David Tedesco, on a rooftop venue in Scottsdale.

Following that, we were introduced to Debbie De Grote who turned our business aroundeasily doubling our volume. To this day, I tell agents to check out Exec U for the best FREE training on the planet and to think about hiring a coach.

Regarding value, how is it possible for a company to give its agents more value than it charges? From the company website (where it’s super easy for the public to find me), to the Digital Marketing Executive certification, to the annual convention- you just can’t beat the value that Realty Executives gives us.

What causes everyone in our franchise to walk around buzzing with enthusiasm? It’s because they LOVE the company, make great money, and benefit from the super talented staff and management, all the way up to the top at REI.

GARY DOYLE

REALTY EXECUTIVES OF SUDBURY

After over 30 years in the grocery business as a Corporate Manager, Franchise Owner, and the Owner of Doyle’s Marketplace, I was ready and looking for my next opportunity. My entrepreneurial spirit and love of real estate sparked in me a real interest to change careers in this direction. Becoming a Realtor seemed like a very good option that would allow me to learn a business while being able to transition from the grocery business. I was confident that the hard work, performance, and skill set from my other business would be a good combination.

A local college offered the necessary courses to get my license to trade in real estate. I completed the courses and then asked my golfing buddy and Realtor, Steve Caswell, which brokerage I should consider joining. He provided me his opinion on all the local brokerages and wrapped up the conversation with, “Why don’t you consider coming to Realty Executives of Sudbury? You can join our team.”

I became a member of a high performing group of Realtors with the greatest respect for each other. A key to my success was learning from each of my colleagues and from our Broker of Record, Carl Young, about the best practices in the real estate business. I decided that I was not going to reinvent the wheel but follow proven methods and strategies mastered by successful Realtors.

In the grocery business, the marketing and advertising was done at head office, so for me, this was not an area of expertise. I quickly realized how important it was to let people know I was open for business. Realty Executives and the wide range of support through PrimeAgent became a foundation to building my business.

I was able to develop and grow a database of clients, colleagues, friends, and family that would receive a monthly e-newsletter, a holiday greeting, birthday wishes, and home buying anniversaries. Every week I have a reminder on my calendar to update my database so that the people I met during the previous week don’t slip through the cracks. I make it a point to connect with them. The ability to set up different groups in my CRM helped me grow my investor client business by providing separate communications tailored to them.

The support staff at Realty Executives has gone the extra mile over the years to work with me to maximize the tools available in PrimeAgent. They have often helped design marketing materials and provided expertise on how to best use social media to market my business. They helped set up my own personal website and then taught me how to populate it with client testimonials as they came in.

The set up and regular maintenance of your database takes time, but the system works for you 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and frees you up to focus on the other sectors of your business. We all have heard buyers and sellers say, “I haven’t heard from my Realtor after the sale.” That is impossible with Realty Executives’ PrimeAgent!!

HALEY SPENCER

After I was married in 2014, we moved to St. Louis. I was new to the area and was working a few different jobs. I hadn’t found my place yet and was really searching for an industry I would be able to make my own, as well as make a name for myself. So, in 2016, I got my real estate license. I was brought to Realty Executives by a friend who was already in the industry. I was excited to get to work and start building relationships with potential clients. I earned my degree in hospitality management from Southeast Missouri State and was raised with volunteering in my blood, so I knew this was the foundation I was going use to build my real estate career.

The team at Realty Executives took me under their wing and gave me the guidance I was lacking. They provided me with the best real estate resources available to truly grow my business. There are so many wonderful things about Realty Executives of St. Louis that I love. They are a wealth of real estate knowledge, and always available and eager to help. They are constantly providing us with the resources to not only grow the company brand, but also my personal brand. At our office, we are set up with a library full of marketing tools, as well as an on-site videographer at no additional expense. It’s just all part of the top-notch service they offer.

Basically, if I can dream it, my brokerage will come up with a way to help me make it happen. Unlike other brokerages, Realty Executives has always been big on developing relationships and molding those into friendships. It’s all about the people liking, knowing, and trusting in you and your skills as a real estate agent.

I have been beyond blessed that the Haley Spencer Team has grown exponentially since I got in the business. In 2019, I managed to talk my sister, Brooke Heuring, into getting her license and to join my team. When COVID hit in 2020, it really rocked the real estate market. Nobody knew the path forward or how long the pandemic would last. I wouldn’t have made it without my sister. We have always worked together, and we are so very lucky to continue that family bond. We truly know and understand how each of us works and what our strengths and weaknesses are. She can take ideas and run with them without any guidance from me. This is very much present on all our social media platforms since she took them over. She is a great addition to the team, and I cannot wait to see how our marketing and social media continues to grow.

I think the biggest reason our business has grown is because we are heavily involved in the community and people are getting to meet us in environments outside of real estate. In my opinion, it is much easier for someone to trust you when they know there are no strings attached. There is less pressure, and you can have conversations to really get to know people. When people start to trust you, the real estate conversations seem to easily flow because it gives others the opportunity to bring it up without it being forced.

REALTY EXECUTIVES OF ST. LOUIS

GOPI KANCHERLA

I am Gopi Kancherla, originally from the southern part of India. I moved to the USA to pursue higher education and received my master’s in mechanical engineering. After graduation, I worked in the auto industry as a mechanical engineer for eight years before moving to Peoria, Illinois, in search of better job opportunities. I started working for a local company in September 2008 and have had a successful 14-year career in engineering (I am a dual career Realtor). In addition to my passion for learning, I have always been interested in the business side of things. This led me to pursue and earn an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in May 2014.

On a personal note, I have been married to Swapna for nearly 20 years and we have two daughters, Thanvi and Pranavi. We currently live in Dunlap, Illinois, where we built a custom home in 2015. This experience sparked my passion for real estate, and I began helping friends who were going through the custombuilding process. It occurred to me that I could turn this passion into a career as a real estate agent, so I obtained my license in August 2017 and joined Keller Williams of Peoria.

My first sale as a buyer’s agent was in October of that year, and I sold my first listing in August 2018. Carolyn Catton, who is now my Managing Broker and mentor at Realty Executives Acclaimed, represented the buyers on the transaction. She has been in touch with me ever since. After four years with Keller Williams, I decided to switch to Realty Executives Acclaimed due to their more favorable compensation model.

I have had a successful year with Realty Executives Acclaimed, largely thanks to Carolyn’s excellent support and my belief in empowering my clients with information. I always share both the positives and negatives of a property and let my clients make their own decisions rather than trying to influence them. Most of my business has come from referrals and word-of-mouth from past clients, friends, and family. I have not focused heavily on marketing and promoting my business. Overall, I believe that providing clients with information and allowing them to make informed decisions is key to success in real estate.

REALTY EXECUTIVES ACCLAIMED

I have always been passionate about baseball. I played it throughout my life until a shoulder injury ended my college career. However, my sports background has instilled in me a drive to not only succeed, but to excel in everything I do, including real estate.

In college, I met my wife Allie, who has been an invaluable supporter in my journey to become a full-time real estate agent. When I decided to pursue real estate, we were both young and starting from scratch in Knoxville, Tennessee. I grew up just north of Chattanooga, so I was starting my real estate journey with zero connections in the industry. I was unsure of where to begin. One broker recommended that I speak with Justin Bailey, and after doing so, I knew that Realty Executives was the right fit for me.

Despite not knowing anyone in the office, I was immediately struck by the close-knit community and the support everyone offered each other in their pursuit of success, which reminded me of the sports world I had come from. Realty Executives has an excellent reputation, which is due in large part to the hardworking and dedicated agents who consistently provide top-notch service to their clients.

When I first started out, all I had to offer was the Realty Executives name and the resources it provided me. But my clients placed their trust in me, and Realty Executives has enabled me to assist them with buying and selling properties all over the country.

As a newer agent, I have been fortunate to build a thriving business at Realty Executives, thanks to the positive and supportive atmosphere, the successful mindset of my colleagues, and the accountability we all have to each other and our clients. I have been blessed with wonderful clients who have supported me through referrals and word-of-mouth marketing, and I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including seasoned investors, first-time home buyers, those looking to sell, and those searching for their forever home. I am excited for the future and look forward to meeting all the people I will have the chance to represent as a member of the Realty Executives team.

VIKKI GORMAN

As a proud Arizonan and Phoenix resident ranked within the top 1% of real estate agents in Maricopa County, I have been practicing residential real estate exclusively under the brokerage of Realty Executives. From Rookie of the Year in 2019 to a member of the Realty Executives Double Diamond and Executive Club in 2021, I represent all homeowners and buyers in the Valley of the Sun - all areas and all price ranges, including northern Arizona (Flagstaff and Grand Canyon areas).

In addition to maintaining my real estate designations for 2022, I am also sincerely passionate about contributing to the success of my community by volunteering 300+ hours per year within my church, community, and my son’s elementary school.

Before stepping foot into Realty Executives, I interviewed at 20 brokerages, selecting Realty Executives as my number one choice. Taking part in the Mentorship Program as a mentee under the direction of Jessica Dembrosky and Patrick Harfst, I completed the program in a year’s time, started teaching classes within the Executive Launch Program, and eventually took on a mentorship role. As a mentor, I helped three mentees graduate in a nine-month period. The mentees went from the point of never selling real estate before to selling six properties each.

The Mentorship Program is a robust learning experience where I was able to shadow my mentor in some aspects of the business, and where I quickly had to learn how to “fly on my own.” From learning daily, to teaching and mentoring at the same pace, Realty Executives, and the classes and programs I am involved in, have been an exceptional ground for educating myself in the business of real estate.

As I complete my fourth year in residential real estate sales, I contribute a great deal of my success to the leadership and support from the Realty Executives Phoenix & Yuma team, led by Designated Broker, D. Patrick Lewis, and the broker team of Ron Roberts and Gerry Russell.

CERTIFIED CONCIERGE EXPERTS

In July and August, Realty Executives hosted a new training module designed for Broker/Owners, Office Administrators, and Marketing Executives: The Certified Concierge Expert (CCE) program. The four-week program was designed to help participants build expert-level knowledge of PrimeAgent and other real estate topics, resulting in white-glove service at the local level.

The nearly 300 registrants completed training and homework assignments covering multiple topics such as:

• Agent onboarding

• Customizing web pages

• Building custom email templates and drip campaigns

• Brokerage communication tools

• Google My Business profiles/pages

• And more!

The intense coursework was set up as a “train the trainer” style program with a goal to have at least one Certified Concierge Expert in each Realty Executives office location. Moving forward, the Realty Executives Concierge team will be hosting advanced CCE sessions so that participants can keep up with the ever-changing industry and enhancements in PrimeAgent.

Like all Realty Executives training opportunities, these carefully curated sessions are offered 100% FREE to the network. Stay tuned for future dates and topics!

My favorite thing about the CCE program was the community of the live class. In every class, more and more Executives shared their tips and tricks with others. Being able to see and talk to other experts everyday stimulated creativity and the Realty Executives culture of community.

Since completing the CCE program, I have been able to help our Executives in more ways than ever before! Being educated directly by the amazing International team provided me with the answers and tools that Executives are usually looking for. By being a Certified Concierge Expert, I have been able to arm our Executives with better marketing

The CCE class was very informative and packed with useful information. I was able to take a deep dive into PrimeAgent and learn the full capabilities of the program- from learning how to customize the broker and agents’ websites, customize and send broadcasts and campaigns, and how to access the extensive library of assets that are at my disposal. If you want to get the most out of PrimeAgent, you should definitely take the CCE class.
