HOTEL LUNGARNO FIRENZE

In an effort to remain ever-present, Florence’s iconic Hotel Lungarno will take a six month ‘pause’ for refurbishments and revitalization. Each member of our team, each smiling face and source of laughter, awaits our guests with open arms come Spring 2017. Hotel Lungarno, renowned for its chic, nautical interiors, will undoubtedly maintain its signature blue, a reflection of the River Arno over which it seems to lightly float. The property’s marvelous location with its private terraces, breakfast room, and Michelinstarred restaurant all sitting out over Florence’s aquatic lung, will be polished ‘new’ once again. Our beloved Art collection, with its 400+ pieces of 20th century fine art, including Picasso, Cocteau, Bueno, and many Italian artists, will continue to be treasured. Our dear friends will find their places again in our Picteau Lounge, our rooms and suites, and Borgo San Jacopo Ristorante. Our guests will continue to bid ‘buonanotte’ to these masterpieces as they ascend the stairs to their rooms at night, as they descend for riverside breakfast in the morning. A museum inside of a hotel, a home inside of an elegant townhouse on the River Arno, and one of the most romantic settings for a Michelin-starred restaurant, the Hotel Lungarno will re-open its doors with the same warmth and style that our guests and our team hold dear, with a fresh enchantment that we look forward to sharing.

Hotel Lungarno, Firenze.

Martino Dini is a Florentine photographer born in 1985. His professional experiences began in 2008 when he moved from Florence to London. It was during this period of travel and exploration that he discovered his passion for photography. He decided to continue on, camera in tow, and began his own version of a ‘world tour,’ visiting varied locales in numerous countries. In 2012 he returned to Italy and joined the Hotel Lungarno as a member of the Food & Beverage team, continuing his photography in his free time. It was Executive Chef Peter Brunel who invited Martino to bring his photography talents into the company by asking him to capture the moments and catalog the story and the ambience of a new project overseen by Chef Peter. Spoon evenings quickly became a highly anticipated and cherished monthly event at the collection’s Michelin-starred restaurant. Beyond the Lungarno Collection, Martino has also worked as a photographer with prestigious companies
