Premessa. Sono le storie d’amore piene di passione, immense e complicate quelle che lasciano un segno indelebile nel nostro cuore. Difficile spiegare ad un estraneo cosa ti porti ad amare così intensamente un’altra persona. Ogni amore fa storia a sé e non è spiegabile con parole umane, essendo le emozioni qualcosa di incontrollabile dalla mente e dal cuore, figuriamoci se si possono razionalizzare e spiegare ad altri, quando nemmeno noi riusciamo a farlo nel nostro intimo. Possiamo solo viverle, consapevoli che resteranno per sempre, anche dopo noi.

Così è l’alta moda. Difficile spiegare a chi è estraneo a questo mondo il perchè di una passione che coinvolge tutti, in un’immensa catena che parte dai grandi tessutai, autentici alchimisti di uno stile che non conosce pari, fino alla sarta dalle mani d’oro capace di dare concretezza a sogni iperbolici, fino alle ricamatrici che illuminano di immenso capi che un giorno ricorderemo con così tanta nostalgia perché l’amore è anche questo. Struggente nostalgia di attimi irripetibili. L’alta moda non è un innamoramento passeggero, è una grande storia d’amore. Piena di momenti anche difficili, boicottata com’è da chi la considera un inutile sfarzo per dive e principesse, nonché un antico retaggio di un tempo pre-industriale quando il prêt à porter con la sua logica della produzione in serie non si era ancora affermato del tutto nel mondo contemporaneo con la sua pretesa democraticità.

Ma il prêt à portèr non è un grande amore, ma un semplice innamoramento, un’infatuazione destinata a svanire ogni sei mesi, incalzata dal nuovo che avanza, con colori, volumi, forme e fantasie sempre diverse. Un abito d’alta moda, come le grandi passioni condite da promesse d’amore eterno, nasce per sfidare il tempo. Nessun couturier crea un capo haute couture pensando che non sarà più di moda nella collezione successiva.

Ogni grande designer sogna che la sua creazione possa sfidare il tempo che logora tutto e tutto porta via con sè, meno le grandi passioni e i grandi capolavori che, per l’appunto, restano per sempre, a dispetto di noi. Per questo l’alta moda ancora oggi conserva questo suo valore straordinario che il prêt à portèr non potrà mai vantare. Rappresenta l’aspirazione dell’uomo a credere, così com’era un tempo, di poter creare capolavori unici, assolutamente non ripetibili. Penso alla grande epoca del Rinascimento e a tutti quegli artisti che certo biasimavano qualsiasi produzione in serie e si ingegnavano per creare opere che avrebbero parlato di loro per sempre. Un abito d’alta moda è l’autobiografia stilistica di un couturier: niente e nessuno meglio di una sua meravigliosa quanto unica creazione potrà mai raccontare al mondo chi era e quali erano i suoi sogni.

Questa è la magia e il senso dell’alta moda. L’eternità.

Introduction. The love stories full of passion, immense and complicated are those that leave an indelible sign in our heart. It is difficult to explain to a stranger what it brings you to love so much another person. Each love is unique and it is inexplicable with human words, being emotions something uncontrollable by the mind and by the heart, let alone rationalize and explain them to others when not even us can make that with ourselves. We can only live them being aware that they will stay for ever.

Haute couture is like that. It is difficult to explain to a stranger the reason why of a passion that involves everyone in an immense chain. Big weavers who are authentic alchemists of a style that doesn’t know equal, tailors with golden hands capable to realize hyperbolic dreams and embroiderers who enlighten immensely clothes that one day we will remember with nostalgia because love is about that as well. Excruciating nostalgia of unique moments.

Haute couture is not a fling, it is a big love story. It is full of moments, difficult as well and it is so much refused by people who consider it a useful glitz for divas and princesses, it is not that an ancient heritage of a pre industrial time when prêt a porter was not affirmed yet with its idea of serial production in the contemporary world with its democratic pretension.

Prêt a porter is not a big love but a simple romance, a crush destined to vanish every six months. It is replaced by the new that advances with colours, volumes, forms and prints always different.

A haute couture dress is created to challenge the time like a big passion full of eternal love promises.

No-one creates a haute couture dress thinking that it won’t be trendy in the the following collection.

Every big designer dreams that his creation can challenge the time that instead ruins everything and it carries away everything.

Only the big passions and the big masterpieces stay for ever.

For this reason haute couture is still keeping its extraordinary value that prêt a porter could have never.

It represents the man inspiration to believe to create unique masterpieces absolutely unique. I think to the big Renaissance period and to the artists that would blame every serial production and they would teach to create works that would have talked about them for ever.

A haute couture dress is the stylistic autobiography of a couturier: nothing and nobody could tell to the world who he was and what were his dreams. Only an amazing and unique creation of the couturier could do that.

This is the magic and the sense of the haute couture. The eternity.

The new era of the gold in the Haute Couture “I dettagli fanno la perfezione e la perfezione non è un dettaglio” diceva Leonardo da Vinci e forse non c’è frase migliore per descrivere questa rinnovata age d’or dell’haute couture in cui non c’è più spazio per la sontuosa teatralità di un tempo e tutto è divenuto così sublimemente essenziale. Ridotto il numero degli abiti presentato in ogni collezione, aumenta proporzionalmente per il pubblico la possibilità di ammirarne ogni più piccolo dettaglio dove, per l’appunto, si nasconde quell’ideale di perfezione sartoriale e di bellezza vagheggiato e inseguito da ogni couturier.

La competizione è altissima e il successo crescente degli stilisti mediorientali, presenti ormai con le loro creazioni non solo sui red carpet più prestigiosi, ma anche indosso a favolose principesse in matrimoni reali e donne sofisticate nelle occasioni mondane più upper class, lo dimostra: una nuova età si profila all’orizzonte dell’alta moda, il regno incantato dove tutto, grazie alla felice combinazione tra tradizione e sperimentazione, è possibile e dove ogni couturier sogna di incidere il proprio nome per sempre.

In fondo, un capo di haute couture ha tanti padri putativi: perchè venga alla luce ha bisogno del contributo di quanto di più valido e sublime il fashion system possa offrire. Non esiste stilista che non sogni di potersi avvalere dei mezzi più straordinari che il comparto del tessile e della moda possono offrire oggi. Quante possibilità di poter realizzare autentici capolavori!

L’alta moda è come un film d’autore dove tutte le maestranze coinvolte sono di massimo livello, dai tessutai più eccelsi con tutta la loro creatività e amore per colori, forme e stampe, alle preziose sarte e modelliste capaci di dar corpo a un sogno, fino alle ricamatrici in grado di far splendere di luce e bellezza ogni creazione. Tutti pronti a dare il massimo, insieme al couturier che, come un direttore d’orchestra, assembla e dirige in una perfetta sinfonia tutti questi meravigliosi e insostituibili contributi in grado di fare la differenza e rendere possibile ancora una volta la magia della perfezione.

A haute couture dress has many putative fathers: for it to come out, it needs the contribution of the most valid and sublime the fashion system has to offer. It doesn’t exist a stylist that is not dreaming to use extraordinary means that the textile and fashion industry can offer. So many possibilities to create authentic masterpieces!

Haute couture is like a film author where all the abilities involved are of an high level, from the most excellent weavers with their creativity and love for the colours, forms and prints to the important tailors and modellists capable to make a dream real. Also the embroideresses capable to make each creation shine. Everyone is ready to give the best alongside with the couturier who, like an orchestra director, assembles and conduces in perfect symphony all these gorgeous and irreplaceable contributions is able to make the difference and able to make once again the magic of perfection.

Paris and the RE U T U O C E T HAU Malgrado la grande crisi economica che attanaglia tutto il mondo, l’Haute Couture è andata in scena. Il ridimensionamento è stato evidentissimo, bisogna fare però un distinguo per lo stilismo prettamente europeo e quello arabo. Lo stilismo europeo si è espresso in maniera degnissima, ma con chiari limiti economici. è lampante che gli investimenti sono stati moderati ed i costi dei defilè decisamente contenuti. Queste limitazioni economiche non sono state, però, dannose per gli spettacoli stilistici che le varie Maison hanno presentato. Nella globalità della manifestazione parigina, bisogna dire che il tutto è stato più che accettabile e forse l’abolizione di tanti svolazzi inutili ha fatto bene, perché finalmente l’Haute Couture ha dato un’immagine più attuale, più coerente e in perfetta aderenza e sincronia con i tempi che viviamo. Lo spreco economico di tanti capi, realizzati esclusivamente per la passerella, è finito quasi del tutto. Finalmente sono sparite le insulsaggini visive e la moda ha assunto il suo ruolo primario di portavoce di un’eleganza assoluta e portabile. Lo stilismo arabo che si cimenta a Parigi ha, invece, continuato in maniera imperterrita, il suo modo di concepire l’Haute Couture. Abbiamo visto centinaia di abiti ricamati, ricchi, opulenti e sfarzosi. Il semplice, la normalità, un capo essenzialmente di linea, non fa parte della mentalità, né della cultura sartoriale di questi stilisti. Indubbiamente proseguire su questo filone deve essere abbastanza remunerativo, altrimenti anche loro avrebbero adottato dei programmi diversi. è indubbio che questa diversificazione nasce e si consolida in un mercato di vendita differente, indipendentemente da qualsiasi valutazione sartoriale.

Le due anime della manifestazione parigina hanno fatto si che il tutto avesse un amalgama e per usare un banale eufemismo, “ce n’era per tutti i gusti”. Al di là delle varie “Premier Vision”, l’Haute Couture è sempre partenza e arrivo per l’industria tessile, che in questo momento economico particolarissimo, ha un bisogno vitale di stimoli produttivi. Otre al tessile, c’è un mondo composito che ruota attorno alla Moda, e tali manifestazioni ne assicurano la sopravvivenza. L’Haute Couture deve ritornare ad essere il veicolo trainante di un’economia ragguardevolissima e deve ritornare ad essere la massima aspirazione per chi vuole cimentarsi nel mondo dorato della grande arte sartoriale.

Although the big economic crisis gripping the whole world, Haute couture went on stage. The cut down was really clear but we need to do a distinction between the European style with the Arabic one. The European style expressed itself in a respectable way but with economic limits. It is obvious that the investments were controlled and the defilé expenses definitely limited. These economic limitations were not risky for the stylistic shows that the different maisons presented. All in all everything was more than acceptable in the Parisian event and perhaps the abolition of many useless frills was a good thing because haute couture finally gave an image more up-to-date, more coherent and in perfect synchrony with our times. The economic waste of many clothes realized exclusively for the catwalks has reached the end. At last the visual silliness are disappeared and fashion assumed its primary role of an absolute elegance spokesman and easy-towear fashion. The Arabic style undertaking in Paris continued no-stop its way to conceive the haute couture. We saw thousand of embroidered, rich, opulent and luxurious dresses.

The simplicity, the normality, the essential linear dresses are not part of the mentality of these stylists not even of the sartorial culture.Needless to say that following this current it must be enough profitable, otherwise even them would have adopted different plans.

This diversification is created and reinforced in a sales different market regardless any sartorial evaluations. The two souls of the Parisian event made a mixture of everthing. Using an euphemism “there was for everyone’s taste”. Beyond the different “Premier Vision”, haute couture is always a go and return point for the textile fabric that needs some productive motivations in this particular economic moment.

Besides the textile there is a composite world that turns around fashion and these events assure its survival. Haute couture needs to return to be the driving vehicle of a remarkable economy and it needs to return to be the big ambition for who wants to enter in the golden world of the big sartorial art.

Che siano corsettate o asimmetriche, le silhouette di Georges Chakra danno un’impressione di vigore e decisione oltre che – e perché no? – di allegria.

Trasparenze dettate dall’uso di tessuti leggeri o da tagli improvvisi sulle maniche, sui fianchi, sulla scollatura creano nuove forme che osano giostrare sulla femminilità, che nascondono e riprendono il corpo della donna al di là di ogni forma meramente romantica. Questa è solo una delle tante sorprese della collezione che Karl Lagerfeld, da trent’anni ormai alla testa di Chanel, ha tracciato seguendo la sua memoria. Sì, perché «Magie glacée», come l’ha intitolata, si ispira ai dieci chilometri che il piccolo Karl percorreva da bimbo ogni giorno per andare a scuola. Se è la gonna ad essere la vedette di tutta la stagione chanelizzata, questa può variare nelle lunghezze e nei volumi sempre eclettici, le giacche che l’accompagnano si parano invece alle spalle di trompe-l’œil con innesti di camicie argentate, di colli rimontati o à décolleté. Per la sua seconda collezione da Dior Haute Couture, il giovane sarto belga ha ringiovanito le linee e le forme grazie a un incontestabile talento da scultore astratto con il quale i voluti contrasti tra morbidezza e rigore impongono una modernità iperraffinata e al tempo stesso sobria e minimalista. Il tutto nel nome dei fiori, così amati da Christian Dior. Lo chic qui è di casa tra trasparenze dosate con sapienza e gusto: trine e ricami a motivi floreali dall’aria neobarocca accompagnano le silhouette da gran sera – o da tappeto rosso – che siano lunghe o più corte per diventare una specie di seconda pelle. Una dolcezza, quella del designer libanese, infinitamente graziosa in organza, crêpe di seta e tulle di seta, le tre stoffe preferite e onnipresenti in tutta la collezione. Il bianco e il nero l’hanno fatta da padroni senza dimenticare però uno straordinario blu notte. Il duo Maria Grazia Chiuri e Pier Paolo Piccioli ha proposto abiti d’una poesia davvero palpabile e al contempo estremamente aerea. Donne fiorite in boccioli o corolle oppure avviluppate da sontuosi ricami floreali : da Valentino per l’estate 2013 tutto è stato creato nel nome di un garden magico che incanta. Le trine e i pizzi di Chantilly, le incrostazioni di paillettes, di cristalli o di madreperla sono delicatamente posate su mise vaporose dal plissé minuzioso. Se non rossi o neri, i dégradé di bianco avorio, camelia o gardenia sembrano avere il sopravvento su qualche tinta che spazia dal verde all’oro pallido. La preziosità di ogni capo si fa ancor più evidente quando si viene a sapere che per creare una gonna ci sono voluti 480 metri di mussolina e che per ricamarne un’altra in filo d’oro e d’argento sono state necessarie ben 2.500 ore di lavoro.

Ma ora, più che mai con la nuova collezione, Giambattista Valli restituisce alla sua donna quel gusto muliebre e gentile che molti suoi colleghi invece nascondono o, ancor più, negano. Il sarto romano lo fa aggraziando la vita stretta con un’accumulazione delicata di tulle sui fianchi, lo fa pure con le gonne a mezza lunghezza sbuffanti su bustier iperaderenti, lo fa, infine, con il candore di abiti in tulle che sembrano realizzati in porcellana di Meissen. La delicatezza dell’insieme è di tutta evidenza anche se qualche stampato animalista – che sia ocelot, lince, coccodrillo o zebra – crea un rapido brivido in questa fiaba che non racconta di lupi cattivi ma piuttosto di cascate di fiori che profumano ogni capo. I gioielli in bronzo e porcellana sono opera dell’artista romano Luigi Scialanga.

The Roman tailor obtains that adorning the tight waist with a delicate accumulation of tulle on the hips, plus creating medium lenght skirts that go up to the hyper tight bustier and lastly using the candour of tulle dresses that seem to be created in Messein porcelain. The delicateness altogheter is clear even if some animalist print like ocelot, lynx, cocrodile or zebra creates a quick thrill in this fairy tale that tells about flower cascades scenting each dress rather than telling about bad wolves. Bronze and porcelain jewels are artwork by the Roman artist Luigi Scialanga.

è alle loro strutture in ferro e acciaio e alla loro impalpabile aerosità che si è rivolta la fantasia di Donatella Versace per la collezione d’alta moda dell’Atelier Versace. E ha fatto centro con le sue linee in metallo che definiscono appieno la costruzione di un abito anche attraverso filati d’oro a 24 carati. La vita è stretta, le spalle larghe in silhouette sofisticate e pulite dove le gonne con inserti laminati in oro tra le pieghe riflettono, nel movimento, la luce. Strisce verticali in visone sono abbinate a metal mesh e a decorazioni tridimensionali, anch’esse pensate per riflettere la luce. E in questi giochi di specchi e di luminosità si inseriscono le cerniere dorate che scolpiscono il corpo e i ricami di cristallo che ne riflettono la potenza. «Ero tutta concentrata sulla materia e non sulle forme», spiega appunto la stilista che ha cesellato o, meglio, forgiato una collezione degna di una Material girl.

She scores with her metal lines that define the dress construction through 24 carats golden threads. The waist is tight, the shoulders are broad. The silhouette are sophisticated and clean where the skirts reflect the light with golden laminated inserts in the folds. The vertical mink lines are combined with metal mesh and tridimensional decorations. These ones thought to reflect the light as well. In these mirror and brightness games the golden zips are inserted to sculpt the body and the crystal embroided reflect the potency. «I was focused on the Material rather than on the forms» the stylist explains. She has created a collection worth of a material girl.
