I am genuinely excited by the many projects we are leading across the country in partnership with Governments and industry, as together we seek to transform the waste and recycling industry in Australia by elevating the recognition of waste as a valuable resource. It’s an ethos that has formed the very backbone of ResourceCo for in excess of 30 years through our steadfast focus on adding value to waste materials otherwise destined for landfill, export, or stockpiling. That commitment has seen us invest in growth projects across the country this year, including a new tyre recycling plant at Erskine Park in Sydney that will see thousands of tonnes of waste tyres repurposed into crumbed product for use in road construction and other manufactured rubber products. We are also very pleased to be partnering with the mining sector in providing much needed turnkey solutions which drive strong environmental outcomes for end-of-life, off-the-road mine site tyres and conveyor belts.

MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGING D I R E CTO R This year has certainly delivered many challenges for businesses across Australia, including ResourceCo, but amidst the uncertainty I have been very proud of the way our teams have stepped up to the plate in the continued delivery of essential services across Australia and Asia. Together we have achieved some fantastic results. As a company we are as committed as ever to playing our role in backing economic growth and delivering better environmental outcomes by investing in leading infrastructure to build our capacity and capability across our broad spectrum of resource recovery and remanufacturing operations.

While in Brisbane, we are excited to be embarking on construction of a new world-class Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) which will enable recovered timber and other dry construction waste to be used as a fuel source, reducing the reliance of fossil fuels, and cutting greenhouse gas emissions. As the narrative around a carbon economy and the quest to reach net zero by 2050 pleasingly increases, it is actions that will always speak louder than words. As a pioneer in Australia’s carbon abatement program, ResourceCo is proud to be assisting heavy industry in delivering better environmental outcomes through the sale of carbon abatement credits that add value for both customers and the communities in which they operate. As we look ahead with confidence, ResourceCo has also realigned its business pillars to focus on delivering its growth ambitions. Our five business pillars of tyre recycling, material solutions, waste & recycling, energy and shared services will form the focus of our operations going forward as we seek to create jobs, build the economy, support greener supply chains, and ultimately play our part in progressing Australia’s circular economy. We look forward to sharing those outcomes with you.
