GOVERNOR’S PROJECT |

UNICEF UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence. Through the Coronavirus Children’s Appeal, UNICEF helps to respond, recover, and ultimately reimagine the effects of Covid-19 on children. In all of its work, UNICEF recognizes the particular importance of early childhood development and adolescence. UNICEF programs focus on the most disadvantaged children, including those living in fragile contexts, those with disabilities, those who are affected by rapid urbanization and those affected by environmental degradation. Through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, Kiwanis International and UNICEF partners up in an effort to battle Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus. unicefusa.org/trick-or-treat | https://www.unicef.org

CLUB DUES

WHERE DO YOUR DUES GO?

+

$7 - CNH KIWIN’S DISTRICT $7 - KEY CLUB INT’L $? - CHOICE BY CLUB $14-21 TOTAL DUES Dues are annual fees that are used to directly benefit the members’ experience within KIWIN’S! Dues can vary from club to club depending on what they decide. They give members eligibility for raffles, merch giveaways, awards, scholarships, and more!

THERE ARE STILL LATE OWL DUES! 12

WHAT ARE

DUES? “Every year, each club within KIWIN’S is assigned to pay dues to officially establish their position within the organization. With a minimum of $14, $7 is sent to Key Club International and the other half is sent to our district (CNH KIWIN’S). After one pays their dues, they become eligible for certain rights as an official member of the club. For example, members are able to gain service hours and apply for scholarships and awards within KIWIN’S. Paying one’s dues provides many benefits and opportunities within the club that not only allows one to grow, but the organization as well.” Written by Kevin Chung Goldstone Divisional Treasurer

GOLDSTONE What’s a division? CNH KIWIN’S District is made up of 9 divisions, each of them having their own gemstone and animal mascot. Our mascot is a Gator representing Goldstone. Each division has an LTG, a Lieutenant Governor and a DLT, Divisional Leadership Team, that aids the LTG in organizing and managing the division.

KRISPY KREME DOZENS FEBRUARY 5-27, 2021 “Setting up the Krispy Kreme fundraiser was an extremely new experience for me. I have never done an online fundraiser, especially one dealing with cards, so it was difficult. In the beginning, I was afraid that the fundraiser would not work out. Despite my doubts, our wonderful

members of the division were able to pull through and it turned out successful. Raising up to $140 from this fundraiser alone made me extremely proud and grateful to have such amazing members!” - Kevin Chung

RIVER OF ROSES CURRENT* 2021 We are glad to announce that the Rose River Memorial project that we have been working on has been expanded to a district-wide collaboration! In this, every individual part in this process counts, so consider contributing your own rose. “After seeing the project's success in Goldstone, KIWIN'S is going to kick off its district-wide service project with the Rose River Memorial Project this month! Members will order their materials using

their respective divisional Google Forms and distribution should start in April. The felt roses made will be contributed to their art installation in Los Angeles. This project is a great break from monotony and is a beautiful way to memorialize the lives lost due to covid. We hope you participate!” Written By Angela Batoon District Governor
