Useful hints when planning your
road trip
There are certain things to keep in mind and check for yourself before hitting the road. The most important thing is to check the safety of your vehicle.

Note: Always inform your local security company and police station that you will be away from home for a certain period of time. During our winter months we experience extremely bad weather conditions in certain areas, so please be vigilant, rest when needed, ensure the safety of your passengers and those of other road users and maintaining a two second following distance at all times. However, in foggy or rainy conditions and when driving at night, increase your following distance.

In case you have someone looking after your property while you are travelling, ensure that you have laid down the rules of the house and made notes of daily important tasks in and around the house. When travelling an unfamiliar route, ensure that you have planned your journey properly. Pack a route map in case your GPS doesn’t pick up signal in certain areas.
