Dead Exaltation- Technical/Progressive Death Metal from India

Interview with Satyajit Gargori

Interview by Andrew Stanton

Hello and welcome to Inside the Darkness. - Can you tell our readers a bit about your history, please? Our Journey started as college kids who had immense love towards music in general. Our brother ‘Mradul Singhal’ and our drummer ‘Aditya Oke’ used to jam on progressive rock music until Aditya met other band members who were apparently searching for a drummer to jam with. So Aditya Oke, Sourjo Mukherjee, Anish Polouse and Mradul Singhal started jamming on Sourjo’s compositions while

Mradul was composing for future songs. This was a death metal line up with some prog influences. We then we found Satyajit Gargori who joined the band as a vocalist and also conceptualized the theme of the music. This is how it all began, as

The vibe has changed, but metal is still growing in some form or the other with bands trying to do pull off tours. However, because of the pandemic, things have been very slow lately. What Indian bands should our readers check out? There are few bands from the country we look forward to like Gutslit, Godless, Killkount, Dirge, Pacifist and many more.
