A Note of Thanks All of us chose San Anselmo as a place to live, raise families, create businesses, and work together. Our tight-knit community has enjoyed a long history of self-determination and making things happen collectively. A great example of this is the Millennium Playground at Memorial Park. The playground, which was built by volunteers in the year 2000, has been a popular destination in the town with its signature dinosaur and other whimsical features. The playground had been showing its age and expected wear and tear, and in the spring of 2021, the Town Council made it a priority to restore the facility by repairing, replacing, and enhancing the space. As with many municipal needs, resources are limited, which requires creativity, collaboration, and community. A COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER SUCCESS STORY The project was split into three phases. Phase One involved repairing or replacing components of the playground. This involved five Saturday community workdays where teams of 12 volunteers worked together on predesignated sections of the playground.
Phase Two involved painting the wooden components of the playground, this took place on a single Saturday in October and followed a color plan developed by a team that included several local artists along with several community members. Phase Three will involve enhancing the playground with new features placed in areas of the playground where former features existed. This process will begin with a community process to help determine the plan. The plan will go through a cost estimating process and a fundraising program will be launched. The improvements will be made once these goals are met. Check the Town Managers Newsletter for updated information!

We are open until 6:00pm daily and follow the Ross Valley School District calendar. RAC staff will offer extended care for Kindergarten early-release or super minimum days.
WHAT WE DO: Having nearly three acres of Robson-Harrington property at our disposal, we like to stay outdoors whenever weather permits. Playing kickball, tag, and imagination games are just some of the activities our kids love - but art projects and books are always on hand for those looking for more quiet activities.

Play-Well TEKnologies
Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: Snowmobiles, Catapults and Lighthouses. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas. After School Hoops Grades K-4th, 1st-5th
One on One
After School Hoops® is a weekday afternoon basketball program for aspiring young players. The one hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills instruction with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team. Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join. One of the many merits of After School Hoops® is that it provides school children with an organized after school event at which they can learn, socialize, and most of all, have fun. Parents and teachers often express concern that idle and unsupervised after school hours provide too many negative temptations for their children. Using athletics as the vehicle, After School Hoops® provides children with an opportunity to improve their overall physical fitness, develop sportsmanship and athletic integrity, and gain an understanding of the game of basketball. Art for Kids Grades K-5th

Kids will explore ways to create different styles of art ranging from Impressionism to Abstract. Our little Van Goghs and Monets will have a chance to display and even sell their beautiful masterpieces at our “Art & Cheese” Exhibition at the end of each session. www.Enbridgement.com.

Ages: 2.5 - 7 years Instructor:SoccerKids Coaches

Location: Memorial Park
San Anselmo Recreation offers Junior Tennis for kids between the ages of 5-11. Tennis in Marin professional coaches in conjunction with the USTA have now been using a system where different colored balls are used at corresponding age levels to allow more of a natural progression toward learning the sport of tennis. These new changes have allowed kids to rally and play real tennis points at an early age. When kids are successful they are having fun, and when they are having fun, they are usually successful. It works both ways.
SoccerKids youth soccer is thrilled to offer soccer for boys and girls in San Anselmo. Join us for noncompetitive, age appropriate play that uses makebelieve and imagination to learn the world's most popular sport. During a SoccerKids class, children get a chance to learn in an environment where having fun, trying your best and good sportsmanship is much more important than winning. The final score of a SoccerKids game is always fun to fun! Class size limited to 16 kids. Parent participation not required except for the 2.5-3.5 age class. Classes begin early January for Winter season and early March for Spring season. San Anselmo Recreation does not take registrations for this class. Please visit SoccerKids online at www.soccerkids.com to register and get more information. Classes fill to capacity quickly, so early registration is recommended. Winter season runs January through February and registration begins Nov. 1st and Spring season runs March through May and registration begins Feb 1st.
