Value based education for children and young people in Romania

VALUE-BASED EDUCATION

Continuous value-based learning allows young people to understand how to learn actively from parents, teachers, inspiring people, influencers, instructors, basically, from anyone who they interact with throughout their lives.

The emphasis on character development, personality and spirit, as well as, on active civism, develops the language of values, introduces an ethical vocabulary, enhancing emotional intelligence, consolidating interpersonal relationships, inducing the notion of cohesion and social inclusion and fostering the creation of a healthy value based culture.

Value-based education endows young people, their teachers and their parents with greater personal responsibility for the educational act as a whole.

Our educational philosophy is based on a holistic approach to education: we offer young people and their teachers experiences for unlearning of dysfunctional beliefs and behaviors and relearning concepts focused on identifying individual potential and on developing the ability to work collaboratively and multidisciplinary to transform Romania in a healthy values based society.

In the Scoala de Valori workshops I learned about my values, which are the most important for me, also about teamwork and about the choices we have to make in life. I liked the fact that we worked in teams and that there were a lot of games. I think that the team work experience with my colleagues will help me in the future also. Thanks Scoala de Valori for the things taught, we will use them also later in life!

AI had the unique opportunity of participating in the project “Profesii bine cimentate” where I discovered a team of well-trained, empathetic and cheerful trainers that students from every domain need as inspiration. The project was very well organized and adapted to the needs of each participant. I will remember the whole experience because through the first part of the project, at the personal development workshops I have strengthened my values and I have been constantly encouraged to believe in myself, and at the technical workshops I met wonderful people with vast technical experience with whom I will continue to shape my professional career.

It is a national program with tradition that supports the development of an ecosystem in the field of professional education in Romania, from the perspective of skills that young people need in life and in their future career the technical field for which they are preparing for.

Through the “Adopta un liceu” program, we guide young people in vocational education and technology, to aim for personal and professional fulfillment. We inspire them to discover their values and harness their potential so that they are prepared for the uncertain and ever changing future.

Domains and subjects covered by the project: School guidance and career counseling for students in primary, secondary and high schools, technical schools and dual education. Value-based education and STEM subjects tutoring program for 12th grade students. Personal development and preparation for integration into the workplace. Personal development, Vocational guidance and counseling for students of the 10th and 11th grades.

Small steps determine great achievements! Teachers are people who have an intellectual and essential impact on a country’s gross domestic product.

This is the program through which we support teachers in their educational activity by exposing them to methods and techniques of creative teaching, so that they capitalize on their pedagogical potential and contribute to the formation of young generations with enthusiasm and skills adapted to the present reality.

The aim of the program is that in 2035 we have a generation of teachers more involved in the educational activities for life, more aware of the qualities they have and more prepared to work vocationally with all the students they have in their class so that they can achieve success in the areas appropriate to their skills, passions and desires.

We support talented young people, passionate about what they do, and who want to transform the reality that surrounds them with responsibility, determination and dedication.

For them we created Exceptionalii, a national program on value based education that inspires through role models, it facilitates interaction with the business environment, promotes social innovation, provides support for inclusion and it is the foundation of a community of tomorrow’s leaders. An important stage in the life of a young person in training is the chance to enter a community of those who write their own future.

We address exceptional young people who invest in themselves, those who want to have a positive impact on their well-being and on the well-being of others.

In a world where the technological phenomenon is increasingly present, it is necessary to implement a national program that supports the development of 19+ young people in Romania, from the perspective of the skills they need to achieve success in the digital world.

Laboratorul de cariere promotes a culture of performance, academic integration and equal opportunities for all students in Romania, regardless of the specialization for which they are learning. In addition, it contributes to increasing the employability of young people by creating opportunities and participating in an attractive program, delivered in specific language, in Romanian, which develops skills & promises relevant learning experiences, as well as “contact with professional real life’’ of partner industries.

In a changing world, marked by unprecedented profound transformations in medicine, science and technology and influenced by numerous economic, political, social and cultural issues, human relations play a role more and more important. Bold initiatives launched in 2022

SCOALA BUNATATII

It is a fundraising campaign with and for young people and an educational initiative that promotes the culture of kindness, generosity and compassion among young people. Scoala de Valori is for tens of thousands of young people, the organization that helped them say, “I know who I want to be when I grow up!”.

DONOR CARE

In 2022 we launched the first direct debit campaign in the field of non-formal education, alongside Direct Debit. We have set out to stand with those who believe in the power of value-based education, but who have not yet reached us. Together with a team of young fundraisers, who believe that education is what will bring change in society, we launched the fundraising on the streets of Bucharest. We are continuing the campaign in 2023, so we need to continue to support those who want to get involved in education. If you are an individual, redirect 3.5% of the total tax on personal income due to the state.
