Welcome Welcome to Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio’s 2014 Believe in Girls Expo Finale. This year’s theme is “Create Your Future.” As a Girl Scout, this is your chance to experience activities that will help you see yourself in the future. I encourage you to explore, discover, learn, create, connect and HAVE FUN. For the adult Girl Scouts in attendance, you can play a vital role in helping the girls create their own future by mentoring one or more girls. Remember, your past is their future.

I want to thank our Stage Sponsor, Wells Fargo, for providing B.I.G. with grant money, bankers to train our girls in financial literacy, and the iconic stage coach. Thanks, too, to the local Target stores and to our other sponsors; our fabulous exhibitors; and to the many staff members and volunteers who made this day possible. And last, but not least, thank you all for coming to the Believe in Girls Expo and supporting the work of Girl Scouts.

This is our fifth and final B.I.G. Expo—at least for now. An event of this size and type requires thousands of hours of work and many tens of thousands of dollars to plan and produce. In the coming years your Council will be staging new program events that I hope will capture your imagination and contribute to building girls of courage confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
