Can-Can ladies from Big Guns

The club is breathing a sigh of relief, having finally presented the 2020 production of Big Guns, only two years late. We hope our neighbors and friends enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed producing it. The stage lights will be dimmed on the club until our return in the fall, but you can still join our merry troupe anytime, by sending your membership payment to the treasurer, Karen Alexander.

Save the date for our Spring Fling Dance: Saturday, April 23, 5-8:30 PM, Catalina Vista. After our two free dances in February and March, we are hoping to pull out the stops with a live band and catered dinner to put more “spring” in your step. Watch your email and our website for more details and ticket sales information.

Board elections are just around the corner. Please consider helping the club continue to flourish by running for one of these positions.

All dances are taught before dancing to music

Folk dancing is a wonderful way to exercise both your body and mind while socializing in the company of a warm and welcoming group. We encourage everyone who is fully vaccinated and boostered to join us. No experience, no partners required, to tour the world in music and dance. We review each dance prior to dancing, keeping in mind that the only mistake you can make is not having fun. Bonus: no meetings, no minutes, no dues; just dance, dance, dance. There is even a club website which lists each week’s dances along with a video link to each dance for those who like to watch or review dances at home.

Please give it a try. Questions? Come and see, check out the website or call Raven.

If you are leaving for the summer: be sure to cover or leave running any water feature in your yard to avoid stagnation and mosquitoes.
