Golf Advisory Chair Eileen Buskirk 206-450-6146 SCOVgolfadvisory@gmail.com Sep.-May, first Wed., 2 PM, WC3 Bermuda grass is now dormant. Painting is underway on both fairways and greens. Please use the email above to inform the advisory committee of your thoughts about course conditions. Remember, golfers need to follow the signage in place to control cart traffic and minimize wear Please keep all four tires on the cart path when by and tear. Mike the tees and greens and his crew are working to cut back vegetation that has been blocking views of the fairway from the tees. Hopefully, this is cutting down on errant golf shots and improving experiences. There’s also been more time dedicated to the bunkers. While sand is in short supply (they’re not making as much now) the crew is grooming them more often and working to make the sand more playable. Since the temperatures have dropped, the greens are being treated with the surfactants and hand watering. This will decrease the wet areas on the green surrounds.

Now is a good time to appreciate the beauty of our golf course. Please remember to drive golf carts in designated areas. Divots in the fairways should be filled with sand and divots in the tee boxes should be filled with seed mixture. A good habit is to repair your divot and another close by if needed. The Views Golf Course etiquette stipulates that players use only designated restrooms located on the course. This month’s play: December 1 - Yellow Tee Scramble December 8 - Bash December 8 - 2 Man Shamble December 15 - 2 Man Better Ball December 22 - Individual Low Net December 29 - Individual Stableford

The Catalina Cup is a match play competition involving several nearby women’s golf clubs. Established in 1991, five clubs played in the first competition: Ventana, La Paloma, El Conquistador, SaddleBrooke and Vistoso (now known as The Views). Current club members, Barbara Hall, Margie Wischer and Rita Quinn are charter members of the Catalina Cup. The Cup has now grown to ten local clubs. Six team members are divided into three flights and travel to each of the ten participating clubs to play one another. The Catalina season is November to May. Each club designates team captains, who create the player roster each month. Our current Catalina Cup captains are Darlene Lamb and Patti Thompson. If you are a club member with a handicap of 26 or below, and are interested in participating in the Catalina Cup, Catalina captains Darlene Lamb, left, and please contact our Patti Thompson captains: Darlene dslamb48@gmail.com or Patti pattithompson914@gmail.
