Seaford Sessions is presenting Tim Keegan and the Gentle Men at the Little Theatre in Steyne Road on Saturday 23rd July, doors and bar open 7pm for a 7.30pm start. This band is a shoo-in with Seaford Sessions’ mission to provide great-quality and entertaining folk, roots and Americana acoustic sound. They will be performing original songs from Tim’s 30 years as a performing songwriter alongside covers of songs they love. Their eclectic repertoire plays across classic country, early rock ’n’ roll, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen, Buddy Holly, John Hartford, Destiny’s Child and more.
On sale now and on the 23rd will be tickets for the following Seaford Sessions’ concert on 17th September, when it will be the turn of The Paul McKenna Band to take to the Little Theatre stage. Tim Keegan (vocals and guitar) has appeared with Departure Lounge, Robyn Hitchcock, Kid Loco, Josh Rouse, Tahiti 80 and The Blue Aeroplanes; Simon Edwards (bass, mandolin) with Fairground Attraction plus Talk Talk, Billy Bragg and Beth Gibbons (Portishead) among many others; Ben Nicholls (double bass, banjo, lap steel guitar) with Seth Lakeman, Nadine Shah and Sam Sweeney, among others; and Jimmy Count (drums, vocals and pretty much every other instrument going), with Bernd Rest (guitar, vocals) and Rosie Brown, who opened the year’s Seaford Sessions gigs at the Little Theatre.
