SEAFORD AFTERNOON FLOWER CLUB At our meeting on 21st July we will be welcoming our friendly local florists from Ambers who will be demonstrating a range of floral designs for us. It is always a pleasure to welcome them back and we are sure we will have an entertaining and enjoyable afternoon. Our competition is entitled Fun with Flowers which will certainly give our arrangers plenty of scope. At our meeting in May, Susan Tausig demonstrated Scrumptiously Summer and we were treated to a wonderful display of seasonal arrangements. Our competition was entitled Green as Grass (see photos of some of the entries above and right). This was a challenging theme but our members have made it seem easy, as usual.
Looking ahead, at our meeting on 18th August we will be holding our AGM. This will be followed by an instructive class entitled What Not To Do, which will highlight common mistakes in flower arranging and how to rectify them. Our competition will be entitled Summer Holiday. We meet at the Baptist Church Hall in Belgrave Road, Seaford, BN25 2EE on the third Thursday of each month (except January) at 1.30pm.
