Seaford Gardens Ten gardens will be open to support the National Garden Scheme (NGS), which supports a range of health and nursing charities. Sunday 29th May, six gardens will be open:

Cupani Garden: a garden divided into different planting areas from a dry garden to a tropical section, with traditional herbaceous perennials too. This is the main tea venue for the trail. Large selection of plants for sale. Refreshments 12-5pm. Cosy Cottage: a cottage garden over three levels with ponds, flowers, vegetables, and shrubs. Plants for sale. Lavender Cottage: a flint-walled garden with a coastal and kitchen garden. Madehurst is a garden on different levels with interesting planting and seasonal interest. Art for sale too. Burford is a mature garden with a mix of flowers, vegetables and an auricula theatre. The Community Garden provides an interesting space, with flower and vegetable beds for members of the community to come together and share their gardening experience. Plants for sale. Maps and tickets for the trail at each garden. Admission via trail ticket £7 for all six gardens. Individual gardens £3. Children FREE. Online booking in addition to payment on the gate available.

Sunday 12th June, eight gardens will be open: Cosy Cottage, Lavender Cottage, Madehurst and Burford as above, plus 2 Barons Close (open at noon), a riot of colour with beautiful roses. 5 Clementine Avenue slopes upwards over 3 levels and opens out onto the downs, and has a nice collection of succulents. Allotments offer a unique chance to see a variety of planting and colour at a site of 189 well maintained plots with a wildlife area, a dye bed, and a compost WC. 34 Chyngton Road is a large garden laid out into different planting areas, including wild flowers, trees, shrubs and plenty of seating to enjoy afternoon tea. All gardens are open from 11- 5pm (except 2 Barons Close, open from 12 noon). Refreshments at various gardens. Maps for the trail and tickets at any garden. Admission for the eight gardens is via £8 trail ticket. Individual gardens £3. Children FREE. Online booking available in addition to gate admission.
