Google Paid Search SSL Encryption Update Google have this week announced that they will be removing search query data from paid search referrers that originated from SSL encrypted searches on Google.com. In a move to make search even more secure following recent changes to organic SSL encryption updates, Google have moved to protect consumer privacy and extend this reassurance to paid activity. While the level of data available from Google Adwords will be restricted, advertisers and 3rd party technology providers will still have access to search query data through the Adwords API, as a number of bid management platforms have already moved to reassure that there should be minimal impact as result of this update.
