ISSUE 162 – 28th November 2014 Streamlined PPC Ads on Naver Naver have announced a streamlined PPC solution for advertisers to quickly on-board search advertising. The system requires only a few details and no extensive keyword research. Naver have called this ‘Traffic Choice’. The information required by Naver include show much traffic the advertiser wishes to drive. This is similar to Google’s Dynamic Search functionality which is also keywordless. This should lower barriers to entry for PPC advertising on Naver and attract SMBs, similar to Google’s Adwords Express product.

Google Contributor Lets Users Remove Ads

Earlier this week Google unveiled an experiment that will allow users to opt out of viewing ads on certain websites. People will opt into this on a monthly subscription basis, to help support participating websites.

"A pixel pattern appears where you would normally see an ad. Alternately, you might see a thank you message," – Google If successful it could have dramatic impact on web advertising companies, so watch this space for further developments. Participating sites currently include Mashable, Imgur, Urban Dictionary & WikiHow.
