AdWords Ad Group Mobile Bid Adjustments Land - 10th May 2013 This week Google started the roll out of ad group level mobile adjustments feature within Enhanced Campaigns, giving advertisers more strategic control over paid search campaigns while enabling them to make more granular bid changes. Another key improvement alongside this release also comes in the form of a bulk bid adjustments feature for location, day part and device, allowing users to save a lot more time. -

Where did Google Places go? – 8th May 2013 Although you still have your Google account with data submitted to Places for Business, the search option Places disappeared recently from Google interface and now local businesses can be found only via Google Maps and organic/paid listings.
Places are no longer there.
It is hard to find any official announcement and explanation about what has happened to Google Places and why, but the reasons behind this might be redesigning and rebranding this option and very likely dissolving and merging Places search with Google + Local in the nearest future‌ -

New Yahoo Ad Format in News Stream – 5th May 2013 Earlier in the week Yahoo (US) launched a new ad format alongside its news stream found on the home page. The new format, known as Stream Ads, will enable advertisers to buy space around news articles on Yahoo across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
