Coca Cola’s Richands Bottling Facility is a multi-functional plant comprising multiple tanks in the syrup room, palletisers, depalletisers and packers, water treatment plant and refrigeration compressors. Sedgman Yeats provided planning approvals services and structural engineering for multiple projects throughout the facility including:
The Galilee Coal project is an integrated coal project including a coal mine, railway and port facility to export quality thermal coal to international markets.
New tank farms Internal gantries New wastewater treatment plant New production lines and general structural advice and engineering.
Waratah Coal engaged Sedgman Yeats to finalise the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for public review, and to manage the environmental, planning and approvals process representing Waratah Coal as the environmental manager for the project. Following submissions and feedback from Government agencies, a supplementary EIS program was initiated and is currently in progress.

Tannum Sands has an ultimate development potential of 2000+ residential allotments, including dedicated commercial precincts, and community and regional open space areas. Sedgman Yeats acted as principal consultant responsible for project management and preparation of the EPBC Referral, EMP and PVMP as well as liaise with the Commonwealth, State Agencies and Council.

This project involved preparation of a rezoning application and concept plan for a new village of 1,000 lots requiring assessment of existing land use, air, noise, stormwater and water quality, sewer, flora and fauna, bushfire and soil environments. Sedgman Yeats coordinated all specialist consultants, community engagement activities, technical reviews and rezoning reports.

Sedgman Yeats managed a diverse EIS impact assessment program, and worked with Styx Coal in the development of the mine plan and preparation of the Initial Development Plan and EM Plan for lodgement to State authorities.

Sedgman Yeats undertook a review of this Code Draft as part of the finalisation of the new Toowoomba Planning Scheme. The review was undertaken against the relevant Australian standards, Planning Codes and Planning Scheme Policies.

As part of Cockatoo Coal’s Baralaba Coal Mine North Pit expansion, Sedgman Yeats were engaged to prepare development application documentation for: Haul road crossing the Dawson River Anabranch connecting the south and north pits Accommodation camp comprising 500 units to service the mine, adjacent to Baralaba. Services provided included planning and environmental assessment, fieldwork project coordination, a Construction Environmental Management Plan, an on-site sewerage concept design, civil design and traffic impact assessment.

Riva Vue Estate is a 14 Ha proposed residential development. The undeveloped part of the Estate remained zoned for Agricultural purposes under Tweed Local Environmental Plan.
