Recession Advertising: Companies willing to raise their voices and continue advertising their wares in a depressed economy “will not only consolidate their existing position but will likely achieve a degree of dominance when the marketplace makes its inevitable recovery”. While consumers may stop buying during a recession, it doesn’t mean they stop listening. But if you keep your cool and maintain your advertising presence, when your competitors withdraw their voices from the marketplace your voice will be heard all the louder.

The next stage of zero tolerance: Prosecutors in Grant County, Wisc., have filed charges of first-degree sexual assault against a 6- year-old boy after he was found "playing doctor" with a 5-year-old girl. The boy's family has been forced to hire a lawyer for the boy, who calls the charges "crazy". Child behavior experts consider such activity normal, even before considering the boy is developmentally disabled -- the lawyer says his maturity level is below that of a normal 6-year-old. Plus, state law makes it clear the boy is too young to be prosecuted with a crime. But prosecutors are pushing the case forward anyway, and have told the family they are looking into labeling the boy a "sexual predator." District Attorney Lisa Riniker says she doesn't want to jail the boy, but rather get a judge to force the boy's family to submit him to treatment. The family says he is already under treatment. "You're going to have to prove a criminal act," Circuit Court Judge Edward Leineweber warned. "If he was 2, would we be here?"
But the judge refused to dismiss the case, noting that "Even the most immature 6-year-old could appreciate" the "concepts" involved in the case. (RC/Wisconsin State Journal) ...Even though a lot of adults have a hard time grasping the concepts of the case. Go topless event denied permit When the city denied them a permit, protesters brought out the big guns. About 20 topless women from GoTopless.org marched on Queen St. E. to Kew Beach after the parks department turned down their request to mark National Go Topless Day at Ashbridges Bay park on Sunday Aug 28th. They turned their event — where women go barebreasted in public — into a protest. “They requested for us to go to Hanlan’s Point, a nude beach, which for us is not an option,” said co- ordinator Diane Brisebois. “If men are allowed here, to be topless on the beach, all women should be allowed to be topless, too. For us, it’s about equal rights and freedom.” A spokesman from the city’s parks department has said Toronto’s municipal code requires members of groups using parks to be “properly attired.” However, an Ontario appeal court ruling in the 1990s set a precedent which allows women to go topless in public. A pickup truck, blaring the Beatles’ song “Revolution,” led the topless brigade of women – some wearing fairy wings – down Queen St. E. People on the street stopped to gawk and take pictures. “I think it’s awesome,” said Sam Paessler, 21. “I wouldn’t do it myself. We already have the right (to go topless), but when someone does it, it’s still a big uproar. You shouldn’t get in trouble for it.” But others shook their heads in disbelief. “It’s kind of silly,” said one man, who did not wish to be identified. “I don’t know what they’re proving ... but eye candy is always nice.” Escorted by six cops on bicycles, the group danced down Lee Ave. Some people on the street agreed to sign a topless advocacy petition that was circulating. Among the supporters were men, sporting red bikini tops over their chests. “There are two ways to go — women have to have the freedom to go topless or men have to go like women, so there’s no discrimination,” said marcher Norberto Barroso. “It’s a beginning of a revolution. We are sure with time, women and men need to be free. It’s going to come.”
Can you afford to travel? I make no excuse in repeating myself. If you can’t afford decent travel insurance, you can’t afford to travel. There is no excuse to go on holiday without travel insurance. We always think “it will never happen to me” and the last thing you want to think about is what can go wrong? But it is not always straightforward when something happens even when taking a quick trip to UK. If you have an accident or are taken ill and you have an EHIC, you may receive free medical treatment. But what about the other costs such as additional accommodation costs for your travelling companion, cancellation of any ongoing trips or your return flight, and crucially, the cost for getting you home when you are fit enough to travel? The cost of Repatriation by Air or Road Ambulance will certainly make your eyes water!
What if your flight is delayed because of bad weather, industrial action or breakdown of your aircraft, train or ship? Or you miss your flight because of delay in public transport, or the vehicle taking you to the airport breaks down? Consider the additional costs involved if your passport is lost, stolen or damaged, if your airline goes bust. Your baggage gets put on the wrong flight, or it is lost or stolen. The staff in your hotel go on strike. How about the cost of Cancelling or cutting short your holiday because you or your travelling companion in unwell? Or if a close relative, business associate or someone you have planned to stay with becomes ill? Bosnia & Herzegovinia ( part two ) World War II (1941–45) Once the kingdom of Yugoslavia was conquered by Nazi forces in World War II, all of Bosnia was ceded to the Independent State of Croatia. The Croat leaders embarked on a campaign of extermination of Bosniaks, Jews, Roma, communist and large numbers of Josip Broz Tito's Partisans by setting up a number of death camps. Many Serbs themselves took up arms and joined the Chetniks; a Serb nationalist movement that conducted operations coordinated with Nazi forces against the partisans. The Chetniks were also known to persecute and murder non-Serbs and communist sympathizers. They committed many war crimes against Bosnian Muslims in Eastern Bosnia. Starting in 1941, Yugoslav communists under the leadership of Josip Broz Tito organized their own multi-ethnic resistance group, the partisans, Military success eventually prompted the Allies to support the Partisans, but Tito declined their offer to help and relied on his own forces instead.
Eventually the end of the war resulted in the establishment of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, officially making Bosnia and Herzegovina one of six constituent republics in the new state. Socialist Yugoslavia (1945–1992) Because of its central geographic position within the Yugoslavian federation, post-war Bosnia was strategically selected as a base for the development of the military defense industry. With the fall of the Soviet Union and the start of the break-up of Yugoslavia, the old communist doctrine of tolerance began to lose its potency, creating an opportunity for nationalist elements in the society to spread their influence. Bosnian War (1992–1995) On 18 November 1990 the first multi-party parliamentary elections were held, which resulted in a national assembly dominated by three ethnically based parties, which had formed a loose coalition to oust the communists from power. Croatia and Slovenia's subsequent declarations of independence and the warfare that ensued placed Bosnia and Herzegovina and its three constituent peoples in an awkward position. A significant split soon developed on the issue of whether to stay with the Yugoslav federation (favoured among Serbs) or seek independence (favoured among Bosniaks and Croats).
The Serb members of parliament abandoned the central parliament in Sarajevo, and formed the Assembly of the Serb People of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 24 October 1991, which marked the end of the tri-ethnic coalition that governed after the elections in 1990. A declaration of Bosnia and Herzegovina sovereignty on 15 October 1991 was followed by a referendum for independence from Yugoslavia on 29 February and 1 March 1992 boycotted by the great majority of the Serbs. Bosnia and Herzegovina declared independence on 3 March 1992. Following a tense period of escalating tensions the opening shots in the incipient Bosnian conflict were fired when Serb paramilitary forces attacked Bosniak villages around Capljina and around Bosanski Brod and Gorazde. These minor attacks were followed by much more serious Serb artillery attacks on Neum in March. The killing of a Bosniak civilian woman on 5 April 1992 by a sniper, while she was demonstrating in Sarajevo against the raising of barricades by Bosnian Serbs, is widely regarded as marking the start of warfare between the three major communities. Herzegovina, the Serbs attacked different parts of the country. The state administration effectively ceased to function having lost control over the entire territory. The Serbs wanted all lands where Serbs had a majority. The Croats and their leader Tuđman also aimed at securing areas as Croatian. Bosnian Muslims, the only ethnic group loyal to the Bosnian government, were an easy target, poorly equipped and unprepared for the war because the Bosnian government forces were In March 1994, Bosniaks and Croats reduced the number of warring factions from three to two by signing an agreement creating a joint Bosniak/Croat Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On 21 November 1995, in Dayton, Ohio, the warring parties initialed a peace agreement that brought to a halt three years of interethnic civil strife. The Dayton Peace Accords retained Bosnia and Herzegovina's international boundaries and created a joint multi-ethnic and democratic government. In 1995-96, a NATO-led international peacekeeping force (IFOR) of 60,000 troops served in Bosnia to implement and monitor the military aspects of the agreement. The mission changed from peacekeeping to civil policing in October 2007, with its presence reduced from nearly 7,000 to 2,500 troops. The Bosnian government charged Serbia of complicity in genocide in Bosnia during the war at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The ICJ ruling of 26 February 2007 effectively determined the war's nature to be international, though exonerating Serbia of direct responsibility for the
genocide committed by Serb forces of Republika Srpska. Nowadays Bosnia has a booming tourist industry with many World Heritage sites of historical interest.Presently, the economy and tourism are on the way back up, and the area provides some of the best-value ski vacations in Europe. More recently, the town of Visoko has experienced a staggering increase in tourist arrivals due to the alleged discovery of the Bosnian pyramids, attracting in excess of 10,000 tourists in the first weekend of June 2006. Međugorje has become one of the most popular pilgrimage sites for Catholics[6] (and people of other faiths) in the world and has turned into Europe's third most important religious place, where each year more than 1 million people visit. It has been estimated that 30 million pilgrims have come to Međugorje since the reputed apparitions began in 1981. Neum on the adriatic coast has steep hills, sandy beaches, and several large tourist hotels. Prices tend to be lower than in neighboring Croatia, making it popular with shoppers. Tourism and the commerce it brings, is the leading contributor to the economy of the area. Tourism in Neum is active mostly in the coastal region. The inland area behind Neum has a rich archeological history and untouched wilderness and is starting to develop agricultural tourism.

Italy analysis - Vettel lands the knockout blow 12 Sep 2011 Spa and Monza - the last two rounds of the European season - were meant to be Red Bull’s bogey circuits. Sebastian Vettel won at both, meaning he could have been crowned 2011 champion in Singapore. His Monza drive was masterful. Opting for shorter gearing than his rivals proved to be a canny decision and his forceful pass on Fernando Alonso silenced once and for all critics who claimed he could only win from the front. Some of the driving behind him was arguably less masterful, but it made for 53 laps of enthralling entertainment. Vettel lost out to Alonso at the start and then had to pull a bold, wheels-on-the-grass move on the Ferrari in the Curva Grande on lap five, but thereafter he was in a class of his own as he raced away to his eighth victory of the season. Webber was unlucky, getting his front wing taken off in Turn One as he and Massa battled for fifth on the fifth lap; he tried to make it back to the pits but got caught out as the front wing folded under the car as he braked for the Parabolica, and crashed out. As a result he drops to third in the drivers’ championship Button made a poor start but soon caught team mate Hamilton as he was trapped behind Schumacher. When the latter closed the door on Hamilton in Curva Grande on lap 16 Button used KERS to pass his momentarily stricken colleague and then jumped Schumacher at Ascari. Later he passed Alonso in Curva Grande to take second. Hamilton finally got by Schumacher when the latter hit the rev limiter on lap 27, having been warned about weaving, and a valiant charge left the Englishman just half a second behind Alonso at the flag. McLaren, however, were left to rue their downforce settings and the effect of poor starts for both cars. They were ultimately quick enough, however, for Hamilton to set fastest lap with Button next. Vettel made to wait for title 25 Sep 2011 Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel crushed his opposition to score an easy victory in Singapore, despite major late-race pressure from McLaren's Jenson Button. It was Button's presence in second place that prevented Vettel from confirming his second consecutive world championship by a mere point. He needed to be 125 points clear, but Button remains a tantalising 124 behind and takes the battle to Japan at the very least. Mercedes' Michael Schumacher played a key role in the race, but for the wrong reasons. An accident involving him and Sauber's Sergio Perez brought out the safety car on the 29th lap, and that was the first bit of good news that McLaren's Lewis Hamilton had enjoyed all race. Hamilton's race strategy was compromised from the start after he had lost a set of super-soft tyres to the puncture in the right rear he suffered during the second qualifying session. Vettel blasted into the lead from Button at the start, with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso snatching 3rd, but Hamilton's day got worse when he got blocked by Red Bull's Mark Webber and lost places. He climbed quickly to sixth, passing the Mercedes of Schumacher and Nico Rosberg, but a brush with Ferrari's Felipe Massa on Lap 12 damaged his front wing just after they had both stopped for new tyres, a lap later. Up front, Vettel owned the race, lock, stock and double barrel, with a flurry of fastest laps distancing him from Button, who in turn had dropped Alonso. Webber was running three seconds further back, but soon began to challenge Alonso until their second pits stops. Then came the incident on lap 29 that changed the complexion of the race. Rosberg had overtaken Sauber's Sergio Perez for seventh place on the 28th lap, but got on the marbles in the last corner and Perez pounced again. But Rosberg retaliated and they touched going into the first corner, pushing the Mexican wide. That gave Schumacher the chance to close in, but he then misjudged things and crashed into the back of the Sauber. As the Mercedes crashed head-on into a safety wall, thankfully without injury to Schumacher, Vettel's lead was neutralised as the safety car was deployed. The safety car's presence triggered a rash of pits stops, and when they were done the Hamilton, who had fought back to 9th had been thrown an unexpected lifeline. When the race went green again Vettel had lapped cars between him and Button and was still 8.9s ahead of the McLaren driver at the end of the lap, but in a key move Webber removed Alonso's championship hopes by passing the surprised Spaniard. The McLaren driver then overhauled Sutil, Rosberg and Di Resta. So now it was Vettel, apparently cruising home, Button doing likewise in second. The final stops only temporarily shuffled the order, leaving Hamilton behind Di Resta. He caught and passed him again to regain fifth, leaving the Scot to take a career-best sixth after another superb drive.

Transition: helping children cope with change Any kind of change can be difficult for us to deal with – we need to be prepared, understand what will change and how that can affect us, be ready to say goodbye to the past and move on. It is good for us….. provided that we are ready for it. At the end of summer term, children will be preparing for a big change – a long break from school…..and then back to new beginnings. This may include change of teachers, friends moving, different classrooms, and different schools and above all, different expectations of the new school year. Children cope very well with this change, provided that they are ready to move on and have achieved solid learning targets from the previous year. This foundation is then used to build new information and learning. End of term reports can give indication of the areas where your child could benefit from some direct, one-to-one tutoring. Specific Learning Needs Students with specific learning needs can find change and transition rather unsettling. They will need to learn new routines, which can be particularly challenging for children with attention difficulties, dyspraxia, dyslexia and those on the autistic spectrum. Primary to Secondary. This move to ‘big’ school can be very daunting for any student. There is more responsibility on the student for their learning – including organising timetables and diary, finding rooms, range of subject teachers (and homework), taking notes and self-directed learning. There are a number of strategies that can assist students with the development of these skills: Mind Maps [ref: Tony Buzan www.mindmap.com ] are an inventive way of taking
notes and planning work. They appeal and facilitate visual learners a great deal – as they use pictures, colours, links and can be built to organise thoughts – even when the student has poor organisational skills . Ideas to assist homework organisation, diary keeping and timetabling can be extremely beneficial to students who have difficulty with memory and/or writing information down quickly. Using colour-coded folders for different subjects and cross-referencing these with diary and homework entries can be helpful. Single sheets showing the whole week can be easier to follow than having to turn pages in a diary, encourage your child to use their timetables and diaries to remind them offun activities as well as school work – this will prompt them to use it more as a reference and reminder (especially for treat activities!!). Weight Lift 2007 Darwin Award Nominee Confirmed True by Darwin
Honouring those who improve the species.... by accidently removing themselves from it! or almost!
A Cow-ardly Death 2007 Darwin Award Nominee Confirmed True by Darwin (19 April 2007, Phnom Penh, Cambodia) Unwanted amorous advaces on a heifer resulted in a man's death at the hooves of the violated bovine. Sounds of a scuffle culminated in the discovery of his naked body lying beneath the frightened family cow. Injuries to the head and genital area were consistent with being kicked to death. Why did he do it? The man's divorce had become final 10 days prior to his fateful final fling. In the divorce, and also a previous divorce, his ex-wives cited his insatiable desire as the cause of the dissolution. Police concluded that the man died in a rape gone wrong. They do not plan to take action against the cow, which appeared to have been acting in self-defense.
(27 July 2007, Guadalajara, Mexico) 24-year-old Jessica was working out in the Provincia Hotel's gym when she realised she needed something from the floor below. Instead of picking up the phone, using the intercom, or just walking downstairs, she decided that the open shaft of the industrial lift was the communications device for her. So Jessica stuck her head into the empty shaft to shout to the people downstairs. And somehow, she missed noticing that the elevator was coming up towards her. If the elevator had been going down, one could say that she was in no position to observe the approaching lift. But, leaving aside the stupidity of sticking your head into an elevator shaft, if she was looking down, how could she miss the mass of metal inexorably headed her way? Since an elevator cage and a skull are both solid objects, one had to give. Let's just say, the elevator won. Jessica will be missed by her family, but not by the gene pool.

them very little or no after effects.Tapeworms can be spread to other animals by fleas; therefore it is essential that when treating your pet for tapeworm you also treat for fleas.
Most of our commom pets such as horses, dogs, cats and rabbits etc are affected by worms ( internal parasites ) ,many of them being born with a burden of worms from their mother, which is why it is essential for the mother to be wormed during and after pregnancy. If untreated, worms can cause pets great discomfort, robbing them of necessary nutrition and leaving them tired, listless and out of condition and in severe cases can kill For dogs and cats there are two main types of worm – Roundworm and Tapeworm .A good breeder would start to worm the puppy / kitten at around 2 weeks of age and then on at regualr intervals until they leave for a new home .That however is the ideal situation but many puppies /kittens from uneducated breeders or who are born as strays obviuosly don´t get looked after correctly. If you give a home to one of these animals it should be wormed immediately as a precaution, however all pets should be wormed regularly throughout their lives ,as unfortunately animals can easily become re-infected with worms from the environment at any time. Roundworms look like strands of Spaghetti or thin garden worms and can grow up to 9” long.Puppies and young dogs are particularly prone to them and nearly always have more than one at a time.In very severe cases their bellies can become quite swollen leading to great discomfort, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, and vomiting. They can also develope a cough which is due to the larvae migrating through the lungs on their way to the intestine. Tapewors can grow up to several feet long and consist of flat segments growing out from a head which attaches itself to the pet’s gut. The end segments containing eggs break away and can sometimes be seen as white wriggling particles resembling a grain of rice in the pet’s toilet waste. Dogs and cats can have several tapeworms, which can cause anal irritation and in severe cases can be seen crawling around in the fur around the anus or at the tops of their legs. These worms, which are very debilitating for dogs and cats, can easily be irradicated and kept at bay by maintaning a regular worming programme. At Cat and Dog World our drug of choice, which you can get from your Vet, is Panacur, it is a multi wormer so would therefore also kill lungworms and Giardia if they were present, it comes in liquid, paste or granula form and can be safely used for cats and dogs and is probably the best wormer for puppies and kittens at a very early age causing
Bot Flies lay eggs on horses legs and when licked off lay dormant through the winter to hatch out in spring, pupating in the intestines causing weight loss and internal damage. Healthy horses with access to good grazing (not poor depleted over weedkilled soil) should be wormed with good quality convential wormer(eg Equvalan) in the spring and end of summer Other possible worm infestations are tape and round worm, garlic addedto feed helps to keep worms at bay, and if necessary worm more frequantly alternating brand name wormers.-My thanks to Sue Barnes from ARCH for this advice. Remember, you do not have to see worms for them to be present in your pet and many aninals show no outwards of an infestation, but to be sure you should make a life long commitment and worm your pets at regular intervals making sure that every animal in the same household is wormed at the same time otherwise they could re infest each other. Do you transfer your monthly pension over? Do you need money for mortgage payments? Do you send money to family members? Are you buying or selling a house and want to transfer funds? Money Saving Advice! As I am sure many of you are already aware, bank charges in Spain are the highest in Europe. Withdrawing cash from a cash point that is not your own bank’s can incur ridiculous charges. Even more costly, and maybe something we do not always think about, are the charges incurred when transferring money to and from the UK. In many cases, we are charged to send and/or receive funds, not to mention the reduced exchange rates the transfers can be subject to. We are happy to inform you that help is at hand: If you reside in Spain and make regular or spot currency transfers to or from the UK via your bank account then we have a way of saving you money.
If you answer yes to any of these questions, contact us and we’ll happily give you further details of the new account that will save you money from now on. One last note, do not think that by having an account with a “British” bank in Spain is necessarily your best option. The fact that the name over the door is the same as your local high street branch in the UK, does not mean that the service and conditions you receive will be the same. For further guidance and assistance with opening bank accounts in Spain and to learn how to save money on future money transfers please contact us on tel: 952 48 68 06 or email info@ccbspain.com. wasps. Most people think of wasps only as bugs with bad tempers and sharp stings. Actually, wasps exhibit remarkably sophisticated behavior and are often helpful, especially to farmers, because they help to check the population of other insects that may be harmful to crops. The many species that feed on nectar travel from flower to flower just as bees do and so are significant as pollinators of various plants. In spite of their reputation, wasps sting humans only when threatened, frightened, or provoked. Wasps have biting mouthparts and antennae with 12 or 13 segments. They are normally winged and have the abdomen attached to the thorax by a slender petiole, or “waist.” Females are provided with a formidable sting, which involves use of a modified ovipositor (egg-laying structure) for piercing and venomproducing glands. Adult wasps feed primarily on nectar, but their larvae feed on insects or plant material such as pollen, provided by the female parent. There are more than 20,000 known species of wasps, the vast majority of which are solitary in habit. The social wasps are confined to about 1,000 species and include the hornets and the infamous yellow jackets. They differ from other wasp families in having their wings folded longitudinally when at rest. Most species build isolated nests, which they provision with paralyzed insects or spiders. The female wasp deposits an egg in each cell of the nest, and the wasp larva hatching from that egg feeds to maturity upon the food with which its cell has been provided. The vast majority of solitary wasps nest in the ground, digging tunnels in the soil in which to lay their eggs. But the Thread-waisted wasps or Mud dauber, have more diverse habits, with some nesting in wood, pithy plant stems, or in nests made of mud. Spider wasps usually build nests in rotten wood or in rock crevices and provision them with spiders. The potter, or mason, wasps build nests of mud, which are sometimes vaselike or juglike and may be found attached to twigs or other objects. The social wasps are among the best-known species of wasps. In their societies they have a caste system consisting of one or several queens,
a few drones (males), and sterile females called workers. The queen, a fertilized female, begins the colony in the spring by building a small nest and laying eggs that hatch into workers. These queens having survived winter in protected areas such as under the bark of dead trees, within wall voids of houses, and occasionally within the cells of anold nest. Although most nests are newly constructed each year, the queens will sometimes use a previous year’s nest, thereby establishing their colonies earlier in the season. The queen deposits eggs (one to a cell) that hatch in several days. She will feed her young larvae masticated caterpillars and other insects. After the first brood of larvae mature and emerge as worker females, the queen will limit her activity to laying eggs to expand the number of workers. The workers assume the duties of food collection, nest construction, and colony defense. With optimal temperatures and a plentiful food source, the larvae complete their development and become adult wasps in as little as 40 days. Nests are constructed in protected locations such as under and within the eaves of structures, in attics and wall voids, and in many other enclosed areas. The workers enlarge the paperlike nest, which is composed of chewed dry plant material, usually wood, that has been mixed with saliva and regurgitated. The nest consists of one or more layers of cells that are arranged vertically with the openings downward. Depending on the species, the nest may be found in cavities in the soil, in tree trunks, or hanging from leaves, branches, or the eaves of buildings. The most familiar social wasps in northern temperate regions are called yellow jackets owing to the black and yellow bands on their abdomen. Other species are called hornets, which are mostly black, with yellowish markings on the face, thorax, and the tip of the abdomen. Many are large and aggressive and are equipped with formidable stings Four major groups of solitary wasps are parasitic and do not construct nests. These are the cuckoo wasps and the tiphiid wasps, scoliid wasps, and velvet ants. Cuckoo wasps are mostly brilliant metallicgreen or -blue in colour and have intricate sculpturing on the exoskeleton. They lay their eggs in the nests of solitary bees or wasps. The larvae hatching from those eggs feed on the bee or wasp larvae or on the food provisioned by the latter’s parents. The velvet ants have bodies clothed with long thick hair of contrasting colours, often black and red. The females are wingless and antlike in appearance. Most of them are parasitic on the larvae and pupae of solitary bees and wasps.

However, keep moving the image in and out, relaxing, and it will appear. Look at the Reflection You'll need to LOOK at something about twice the distance of the image. WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS A Scottish couple decided to go to Spain to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Glasgow and flew to Barcelona on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day. The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email. Meanwhile, somewhere in Blackpool , a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who died following a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and
fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read: To: My Loving Wife Subject: I've Arrived Date: October 16, 2008 I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in. I see that Everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was. P.S. Bloody hot down here! A YORKSHIRE LOVE STORY An elderly man lay dying in his bed. While suffering the agonies of impending death, he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favourite scones wafting up the stairs. He gathered his remaining strength and lifted himself from the
bed. Leaning on the wall,he slowly made his way out of the bedroom, with even greater effort, gripping the railing with both hands, he crawled downstairs. With laboured breath, he leaned against the door-frame, gazing into the kitchen. Were it not for death's agony, he would have thought himself already in heaven, for there, spread out upon the kitchen table were literally hundreds of his favourite scones. Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of love from his devoted Yorkshire wife of sixty years, seeing to it that he left this world a happy man? Mustering one great final effort, he threw himself towards the table, landing on his knees in rumpled posture. His aged and withered hand trembled towards a scone at the edge of the table, when it was suddenly smacked by his wife with a wooden spoon ...... 'Bugger off', she said, 'they're for the funeral' Women are so much better at financial planning than men ! Dan was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the family business.
One day he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed to find a wife with whom to share his fortune. One evening, at an investment meeting, he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away."I may look like just an ordinary guy," he said to her, "But in just a few years my father will die and I will inherit $200 million". "Impressed, the woman asked for his business card. Three days later, she became his stepmother. See what I mean
