A literary expence: Visitors taking in the grandeur of Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park were boggled by another tourist: he was spray-painting something on one of the classic formations, "Duck on a Rock". As some screamed at him to stop, others called 911. Park rangers responded and a man was pointed out. "I made contact with the man and asked him where he had been," Ranger David Robinson said in his report. "He replied by pointing down at the rock where the red spray paint was visible." It said "Luci" -- a name apparently interrupted mid-spray. He allegedly admitted he had planned to write out his full name. Where is the can of paint? The man said he threw it into the canyon. The man "stated that it was so special that if he left his name, then his kids would be able to see it 20 years from now." Except that the Park Service said the paint would be removed -- at a cost of about $8,000. Lucien Lionel Chenier, of Ottawa, Canada, was arrested on charges of damaging government
property in excess of $1,000, and littering. (RC/Arizona Daily Sun) .. .A crime so "special" that his kids will still be embarrassed by him 20 years from now Drunken moose ends up stuck in Swedish apple tree A moose got stuck in a tree after eating fermented apples in Saro, Sweden. It was a dark, windy and rainy night when Per Johansson returned from work to his home in Saro just south of Gothenburg, Sweden. "It was raining really bad. In the wind I heard something screaming with a very dark voice," Johansson told CNN. "At first I wondered if it was the crazy neighbors, but then I heard it again and went and checked. I saw something really big up in a tree in my neighbors' yard and it was a moose. It must have been drunk after eating fermented apples and as it was reaching out for more fruit it must have slipped and fallen into the tree." Johansson called the local fire and rescue department, which responded with a fire engine and a jeep with a winch. "We got the alarm at 9.59 p.m. on September 6 that a moose was stuck in a tree," said Anders Gardhagen, spokesman at the Gothenburg Fire and Rescue Services. "When we arrived we used the winch to bend down the apple tree so the moose could get himself out of the tree. Once free, the moose collapsed on the ground and fell asleep. So we let him sleep it off and went back home" Gardhagen told CNN. "Moose are attracted by the apple trees, and in the autumn when the apples have fallen off the trees we normally have at least one of these cases of intoxication. These apples, which ferment in their bellies, aren't part of their natural food, so they can get quite angry from this drunkenness," Gardhagen said.

Estonia ( part 1 ) Population: 1.34 million Area: 45,227km2 Capital: Tallinn Currency: Euro, pre 2011 ( estonian kroon ) Official Languages: Estonian, ( Finnic uralic , similar to Finnish ), Russian Religion: It is the second least religious country in th world, only 16% of Estonians believe in God, 14% Evangelistic Estonia, officially the Republic of Estonia, is a state in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. It is bordered to the north by the Gulf of Finland, to the west by the Baltic Sea, to the south by Latvia and to the east by Lake Peipsi and the Russian Federation, and is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. Estonia is a democratic parliamentary republic divided into 15 counties. Estonia is listed as a
"High-Income Economy" by the World Bank, as an "advanced economy" by the International Monetary Fund and the country is an OECD member. The United Nations lists Estonia as a developed country with a Human Development Index of "Very High". The country is also ranked highly for press freedom, economic freedom, democracy and political freedom and education. History Human settlement in Estonia became possible 1113,000 years ago, when the ice from the last glacial era melted. The oldest known settlement is the Pulli settlement, which was on the banks of the river P채rnu, near the town of Sindi, in southwestern Estonia. Evidence has been found of hunting and fishing communities existing around 6500BC near the town of Kunda in northern Estonia. The Kunda culture belongs to the middle stone age, or Mesolithic period. The end of the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age were marked by great cultural changes. The most significant was the transition to farming, which has remained at the core of the economy and culture. Between the 1st to 5th centuries AD resident farming was widely established, the population grew, and settlement expanded.Cultural influences from the Roman Empire reached Estonia.
The first mention of the people inhabiting Estonia is by the Roman historian Tacitus, who in his book Germania ( c,AD 98) describes the Aesti tribe. A more troubled and war-ridden middle Iron Age followed with external dangers coming both from the Baltic tribes, from the southern land border, and from overseas. Several Scandinavian sagas refer to retaliatory campaigns against Estonia. Estonian pirates conducted similar raids against the Vikings. The "pagan raiders" who sacked the Swedish town of Sigtuna during the early Middle Ages, in 1187, were Estonians. In the 1st centuries AD, political and administrative subdivisions began to emerge in Estonia. Two larger subdivisions appeared: Nearly all provinces had at least one fortress. The defence of the local area was directed by the king or elder. Estonia retained a pagan religion centred around a deity called Tharapita. The Chronicle of Henry of Livonia mentions Tharapita as the superior god of Oeselians (inhabitants of Saaremaa island), also well known to Vironian tribes in northern Estonia. Middle Ages At the beginning of the 13th century, Lembitu of Lehola, a chieftain of Sakala sought to unify the people and thwart Danish and Germanic conquest
during the Livonian Crusade. He assembled an army of 6,000 men, but was killed during the Battle of St. Matthew's Day in 1217. In 1228, in the aftermath of the Crusade, to the 1560s, Estonia became part of Terra Mariana, in 1207 as a part of the Roman Empire and proclaimed by pope Innocent III in 1215 as a subject to the Holy See. The southern parts of the country were conquered by Livonian Brothers of the Sword who joined the Teutonic Order in 1237 and became known as the Livonian Order. The North of the country, became Duchy of Estonia as a direct dominion of the King of Denmark from 1219 until 1346 when it was sold to the Teutonic order and became part of the Ordenstaat. In 1343, the people of northern Estonia and Saaremaa rebelled against the German rule in the St. George's Night Uprising, which was put down by 1345. After the Teutonic Order fell into decline following its defeat in the Battle of Grunwald in 1410, and the defeat of the Livonian Order in the Battle of Swienta in 1435, the Livonian Confederation agreement was signed on 4 December 1435. The Grand Duchy of Moscow and Tsardom of Russia attempted unsuccessful invasions in 1481 and 1558. The wars had reduced the Estonian population from about 250–300,000 people before the Livonian War to 120–140,000 in the 1620s..(tbc)

Lipo by Laser The treatment is designed to specifically target spot fat reduction (inch loss) without surgery, the pain or the recovery time. By targeting adipocyte cells (fat cells), the process offers an effective and safe solution to fat reduction, which can be carried out on several areas of the body. OSC will assist with a specialised diet and exercise program for clients. Each treatment session is a relaxing and pain free experience, varying between 20 – 40 minutes in length, depending on the needs and objectives of the client. The clinician uses a combination of small probes and paddles to directly target the clients’ problem areas and a and safe solution to fat reduction, which can be carried out on several areas of the body. The system uses safe laser energy, using a class 3B, cold, low level, red laser to penetrate the skin, (penetrating to a depth between 9mm and 13mm), and target the adipocyte cells. These cells are stimulated and shrink releasing free fatty acids, Glycerol and water (often referred to as Triglycerides), which results in noticeable skin surface inch loss. The Triglycerides are released into the body and a proportion pass into the body’s lymphatic system which takes them away into organs that subsequently clear it out of the body. (Many clients feel the need to visit the toilet after treatment as some of the released fluid will find its way into the urinary system). This process of flushing out the released Triglycerides will be distinctly increased if the client participates in 20-30 minutes of cardio vascular exercise within 12 hours of the treatment. The treatments, although specific to each client, usually consist of two weekly sessions, over a period of 4 weeks. The full course of 8 sessions is recommended for maximum results. Alesha Dixon: I should get tips from Cheryl Cole on how to deal with Simon Cowell Alesha Dixon needs some help from Chezza Alesha Dixon left Strictly Come Dancing to become a judge on Britain's Got Talent Gok Wan: I styled a girl who pooed in her outfit Gok got a little more than he bargained for when he dressed a wannabe singer Life isn't always glamorous for Gok Wan. He is used to getting up close and personal with women's bodies after years of presenting his hit show How To Look Good Naked. But back when the TV presenter was working as a stylist, he found a girl he didn't want to get too near to - after she pooed herself in the outfit he'd put her in! 'There was one girl who I dressed for her first music video. She was lovely, but she got so nervous she crapped herself in her costume,' says Gok, 37. 'I remember walking upstairs with her and she just went: "Sh*t!" and looked at me in panic.' Luckily, professional Gok had prepared some back-up outfits for the singer and the show went on. And despite the embarrassing incident, the non-judgemental star is still friends with the mystery girl today. 'Fortunately there were other costumes, so she managed to clean herself up,' Gok tells Celebs magazine. 'But I still call her sh*tty knickers now when I see her.' David Beckham: I never wanted to be famous Becks says it was all about his love of sport David Beckham has four children with wife Victoria David Beckham is worshipped by millions of fans, but he never longed to be a celebrity. The LA Galaxy star and his fashion designer wife Victoria Beckham, 37, didn't plan to end up one the most high-profile couples in the world. 'I never wanted to be famous,' says David, 36. 'I was never interested in anything else apart from becoming a footballer.' Prior to his move to LA, Becks played for high profile UK team Manchester United before joining one of the top Spanish sides, Real Madrid. 'Some assume that I make decisions based on a club's brand,' David tells Men's Health. 'But that's not true. 'There's not one club I've been to for the brand. I have only ever made decisions for the good of my football career.'
New Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon knows who to speak to if she ends up bickering with Simon Cowell on the show's panel. The 33-year-old was impressed with how Cheryl Cole, 28, handled her fights with the music mogul during her 3-year stint on The X Factor. 'I should call Cheryl and get some tips from her on how to deal with Simon,' says Alesha. The singer is loving the new challenge and not bothered that Simon's admitted hiring her because he wanted to poach a Strictly Come Dancing judge. 'He's so cheeky! He's doing it to stir it up,' Alesha reckons. At the end of the day it's my choice and I already felt that three years at Strictly... was a respectable amount of time and I was looking forward to trying something new.' See you next month

Dr Hulda Clark: The road to wellbeing After 50 years of research, Dr. Hulda Clark developed a combination of different treatments to cure her patients. No matter how long the list of symptoms, according to Dr. Clark there is guaranteed to be two things that are fundamentally wrong: there are toxins and parasites in the body. These numerous tiny invaders are always present in the body, but are held at bay by the immune system. However, for most of us the white blood cells of the immune system cannot function because they are intoxicated with immunosuppressive agents such as radioactivity, heavy metals, benzene, asbestos, PCBs, and other physical and chemical toxins. These are all substances that are present in most of the products that surround us: water, cosmetics, food and drinks. So, although the white blood cell count is correct, they do not work because of these toxins, and they cannot fight the pathogens that are present in all conditions. Once they are got rid of, chronic illnesses and infections will disappear. It is possible to find things in the human body that a blood test alone can not discover. Electronic evidence is, in many ways, superior to chemical methods. Radio electronics can identify abnormal forms in the body without invasive techniques. Viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites, solvents and toxins can all be discovered using these techniques. Everyone has a unique frequency and everything can be found by the technique known as “Selective Electrocution” (Zapping). The accumulation of these toxic substances weakens the immune system in parts of the body allowing parasites to take hold in that area. Each parasite has a preference for a particular organ, which it will be attracted to if it has the particular pollutant that provides food for that parasite, leaving their waste and creating different diseases that are called ‘chronic’, ‘incurable’ or ‘genetic’ that are not actually so.
Dr. Clark’s system aims to provide intestinal, kidney and liver cleansing; pathogen removal and detoxification and white blood cell strengthening supplements. The devices that are used in Dr. Clarks’ treatments include the famous Zapper, that can help to remove pathogens, provides polarity ‘North’ and stimulates the immune system. Zap Plates can help to heal a damaged organ in serious condition, while the Ozonator helps to disinfect food and drink, eliminate phenols, cyanides and estrogens in our food. The Food Zappicator brings North polarity and eliminates pathogens. Herboristeria Madre Tierra, is a Preferred Partner of “medilink” and is offering the famous Dr Clark Therapy. Lovesick Doc dies of the Flue 2010 Reader Submission Pending Acceptance A doctor involved in an "on-again, off-again" relationship apparently tried to force her way into her boyfriend's home by sliding down the chimney, police said. Her decomposing body was found there three days later. Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac, 49, first tried to get into the house with a shovel, then climbed a ladder to the roof at night, removed the chimney cap and slid feet first down the flue, Bakersfield police Sgt. Mary DeGeare said. While she was trying to break in, the man she was pursuing escaped unnoticed from another exit "to avoid a confrontation," authorities said. DeGeare said the two were in an "on-again, offagain" relationship.
He declined to comment when reached Tuesday by The Associated Press, saying police instructed him not to discuss the matter. Kotarac apparently died in the chimney, but her body was not discovered until a house-sitter noticed a stench and fluids coming from the fireplace Saturday, according to a police statement. The house-sitter and her son investigated with a flashlight and found Kotarac dead, wedged about two feet above the top of the interior fireplace opening. Firefighters spent five hours dismantling the chimney and flue from outside the home to extract Kotarac's body, DeGeare said. Officials said Kotarac's office staff reported her missing two days prior when she failed to show for work. Her car and belongings remained near the man's house. A cause of death has not been determined, and an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday. Foul play is not suspected, though investigators have been looking into the incident as suspicious."

Processionary Caterpillar Case History A few years ago we had a phone call one evening from a lady who had bought a lovely Westie puppy from us 6 months previously. She was very worried because the puppy was having difficulty breathing and it seemed to her that its tongue seemed a “ little swollen and looked a funny colour” she told us it had only been playing in the garden that day and that she was certain it hadn´t eaten anything out of the ordinary. Recognising the symptoms we asked if she had any fir trees in her garden which had what looks like candy floss hanging in them or if she had seen caterpillars crawling nose to tail after each other, as if in a procession, sadly she confirmed our fears and told us there were firs trees in the urbanization gardens some of which had the tell tale candy floss in them and that she had seen the puppy “fascinated” by a line of caterpillars in her garden that day too. Knowing that the puppy´s fascination and the caterpillars bitter sweet smell had almost certainly made it lick or even just sniff them we urged her to get the puppy to a Vet immediately because its life was in great danger. Any contact with these caterpillars spells almost certain death to a young puppy, adult dogs who are more “ street wise “ would not normally touch them as they are clever enough to sense the danger, but to a puppy ( and a child ) a wriggly, fluffy thing is irresistible and needs to be investigated !! The next day I answered the phone to the puppy´s distraught owner , who told me his tongue had turn completely black and had swollen so much that the only way the Vet said he could possibly have a chance of saving its life was to remove its tongue. She told me she couldn´t imagine her beautiful ,lively puppy being able to cope with life with such an awful disability so she asked the Vet to put him out of his pain and misery - the last compassionate act we can do for a beloved pet. These Processionary caterpillars, which are highly toxic to animals and humans are active from October through to April, coming down from the tops of their fir trees to feed, so be sure to check
your gardens, urbanisation and surrounding areas and if you find these deadly creatures DON¨T TOUCH THEM contact your local town hall and ask what their policy is regarding the control of these caterpillars. They should have an eradication system in place, if they haven´t ask why not ! but what ever happens make sure they and their habitat are sprayed an detroyed, an experienced gardener should be able to help you. Be safe not sorry ! (see poisonous creatures article for full details) Denise Whitehair. Poisonous creatures of the Mediterranean The pine processionary caterpillar is the best known of all the processionaries. The insect is found in the warmer regions of southern Europe, the Near East, and North Africa. It is the habit of the caterpillars to move over the ground in long head-to-tail processions and to sting, with urticating hairs, anyone who attempts to touch them. This has brought these dangerous caterpillars to the attention of the public. It is also one of the most destructive of forest insects, capable of defoliating vast tracts of pines during its population surges. Sibling groups stay together throughout the larvae stage, often pupating side by side. The insect is active only during the colder times of the year, spending the warm summer months as a pupa buried in the ground. The moths begin to emerge from the soil in August and shortly thereafter mate and seek out pine trees where they place their eggs. Each female produces a single egg mass which it fastens to a needle of a suitable host trees. Egg masses contain up to 300 or so eggs and the caterpillars typically emerge from them four or more weeks after they are laid. The eggs are completely covered with scales that detach from the abdomen of the female. Despite their small size, the newly hatched caterpillars have remarkably strong mandibles and are able to penetrate the tough needles of the host from the start. Shelter Building The caterpillars are highly social. At first they are nomadic, spinning and abandoning a series of flimsy shelters constructed by enveloping a few needlesin silk but eventually they initiate the Construction of a permanent nest and settle down to become central place foragers. There are no definitive openings in the shelter that allow the caterpillars to enter and exit.Rather,The caterpillars force their way through the layers of the shelter as they move in and out. The frass that is produced as the caterpillars process their meals accumulates at the bottom of the shelter. Midwinter Foraging and Thermoregulation Colonies are active throughout the winter months, the caterpillars leave their nests soon after sunset
and travel to distant feeding sites located on the branches of the host tree. Here they feed overnight then return to the nest at dawn. In mid-winter the caterpillars forage on the coldest of nights and are able to travel, albeit very slowly, at sub-zero temperatures. The permanent nests are typically sited to to be warmed by sunlight. The caterpillars rest in the nest during the day and the elevated body temperatures they experience due to heating of the nest by the sun helps to efficiently digest the food they collect overnight. By March the caterpillars are fully grown. At this time the leave their nest, following each other in long, head to tail processionsand seek out pupation sites in the soil. Trail Marking and Processionary Behavior The caterpillars lay down a trail pheromone as they advance over the branches of the host tree. The caterpillars mark when the tips of their abdomens brush against the substrate. Although the caterpillars also secrete silk and mark their pathways with the material, silk serves to increase steadfastness on the smooth plant surfaces. Caterpillars can distinguish old from new trails. The caterpillars also differentiate between trails made by different numbers of caterpillars and follow preferentially those marked by the most caterpillars. Trail marking enables the caterpillars to aggregate at feeding sites and allows them to find their way back to nest after feeding. When they move over the branches, the caterpillars may move head to tail in small groups or they may move completely independently of others. In either case, they rely on the trail marker to find their way. While the caterpillars may form single file processions as the advance over the branches of the host tree in search of food, the most spectacular processions are formed when the caterpillars are fully grown and abandon the host tree in search of pupation sites. Over-the-ground processions of as many as three hundred caterpillars have been observed. The caterpillars may travel long distances from the natal tree looking for soft soil in which they bury themselves and form their cocoons. WARNING ‘TOXIC’- Anti-Predator Defense These caterpillars are highly dangerous. Contact with the hairs causes skin rashes and eye irritations even when it is dead. The hairs can be carried in the air so can cause respiratory problems. Susceptible individuals may also develop an allergic response to a protein associated with the hairs of the caterpillar. Causing Urticaria (severe swelling and itching) Localized pain and in the old and young possible anaphylactic shock which can be fatal. Cats & dogs are also at risk of death if they come into contact with them immediate Vetinary treatment is essential.

However, keep moving the image in and out, relaxing, and it will appear. Look at the Reflection You'll need to LOOK at something about twice the distance of the image. It turns out we have something that is almost always available that is the exact distance... your reflection. After looking at your eye, simply stop focusing on your eye, and try to see the image. Repeat, switching your focus from your eye to the image, and your reflection... and suddenly you will get it.

Funeral Dog A man was leaving a coffee shop with his morning coffee when he noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery. A long black hearse was followed by a second long black hearse about 50 feet behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary man walking a dog on a leash. Behind him, a short distance back, were about 200 men walking single file. The man couldn't stand the curiosity. He respectfully approached the man walking the dog and said, 'I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time to disturb you, but I've never seen a funeral like this. Whose funeral is it?' 'My wife's.' 'What happened to her?'
The man replied, 'My dog attacked and killed her.' He inquired further, 'But, who is in the second hearse?' The man answered, 'My mother-inlaw. She was trying to help my wife when the dog turned on her.' A poignant and thoughtful moment of silence passed between the two men. 'Can I borrow the dog?' 'Get in line!!' An Irish farmer named Seamus had a car accident. In court, the lorry company's hot-shot solicitor was questioning Seamus.. 'Didn't you say to the Police at the scene of the accident, 'I'm fine?' asked the solicitor. Seamus responded: 'Well, I'll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my favourite cow, Bessie, into the....'
'I didn't ask for any details', the solicitor interrupted. 'Just answer the question. Did you not say, at the scene of the accident,'I'm fine!'?'
was driving her down the road when this huge lorry and trailer came through a stop sign and hit my trailer right in the side.
Seamus said, 'Well, I had just got Bessie into the trailer and I was driving down the road.. . The solicitor interrupted again and said, 'Your Honour, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the police on the scene that he was fine. Now several weeks after the accident, he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question.'
I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was thrown into the other. I was hurt, very bad like, and didn't want to move.
By this time, the Judge was fairly interested in Seamus's answer and said to the solicitor: 'I'd like to hear what he has to say about his favourite cow, Bessie'. Seamus thanked the Judge and proceeded. 'Well as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my favourite cow, into the trailer and '
However, I could hear old Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible pain just by her groans. Shortly after the accident, a policeman on a motorbike turned up. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning so he went over to her. After he looked at her, and saw her condition, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes.. Then the policeman came across the road, gun still in hand, looked at me, and said, 'How are you feeling?' Now what the heck would you have said?
So here we are then guys…2012 so far so good - I thought I might take a retrospective look at 2011 musically speaking. First off Adele… wow!!! Nominated for 6 Grammys… Artist of 2011, hit Album “21”…. incredible live shows especially the Royal Albert Hall and hit single “Somebody Like You” which topped the Ultimate Chart and now is safely ensconced amongst the tunes murdered on Karaoke. I must say I have heard some pretty ropy versions and a few quite amazing attempts - among the better ones was an 80year old bloke who somehow really made it special. Incredible how pop music today can reach out to so many people on so many levels. One of the TV highlights for me was the Cheesiest show for years… Michael Buble at Christmas. If you remember Perry Como and Andy Williams well that was it. I thought it was brilliant .. The Buble Christmas album was also great fun including the best cover version of White Christmas ..ever. Other Artists who impressed…well Mat Cardle came back at the end of the year with a very good Album and a couple of stunning singles – “Starlight” was the track for me Another superb talent to watch for in 2012 is Ed Sheeran. First the single “A Team”, then the follow up “You Need Me” and the rather brilliant “Lego House” all taken from his debut album +, (um yes that is the title) More excellent stuff from him on the way I think….. Cee-Lo Green was the man when it came to pop-dance music with a constant chart presence right through the year and his Album “The Lady Killer” is still selling well. Keep your ears peeled for a very interesting singer song writer by the name of Maverick Sabre definitely one for 2012 We lost a few huge talents including the incredible Amy Winehouse who had a voice that went far beyond the self-destructive lifestyle. So much soul in such a troubled body always destined unfortunately to implode...... Some of the tracks on her Album” Lioness” are amazing and if you want to hear how good her voice really was then listen to her cover of the Beatles
“All my Lovin” or “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” A couple of absolute legends also passed away - Gerry Rafferty, and the true Guitar Master Gary Moore who died in Marbella - one of the few players who managed to master the art of playing feedback. Sir Jimmy "Owzabout that then - another top of the pops" was also a 2011 casualty….. gone but never forgotten 2011 also brought a couple of brilliant live shows to the Costa…. Jamie Cullum in Fuengirola and of course the Queen tribute concert in Marbella Well I don’t know about you but I am really looking forward to some excellent new music, a couple of brilliant concerts and a great 2012 Keep it 96.1 HeartfmSpain or listen in at www.heartfmspain.com........ we are the” Heart and Soul of the Campo” Lee Jay
