Crossing the (fake) border A new theme park gives thrill-seekers the chance to play at being desperate Mexicans trying to illegally cross the border to the US. Visitors to the Parque Eco Alberto are put in the position of workers struggling to escape across the Mexican border. They must hike through undergrowth, dash down steep hills and across rivers, and slip under barbed-wire fences, reports Metro. Also, they must stay out of the crossfire of watchful border guards during the four-hour night-time ordeal known as 'Caminata Nocturna'. Each visitor pays the equivalent of $10 for the privilege at the theme park in Hidalgo, actually a comfortable 700miles from the US border. Some groups have criticised the theme park organisers for trivialising the plight of those trying to escape to the US.
But according to Alfonso Martinez, who plays a people-smuggler in the game, the mockescapes 'let people get a glimpse of the suffering that migrants endure'. The theme park also offers river-rafting and more comfortable cabin accommodation, but more than 3,000 people have tried out the Caminata Nocturna so far. Girls Potty over Potter broomstick A toy firm has axed it's vibrating replica of Harry Potters broomstick after mum's complained their daughters spent too much time riding it. Makers Mattel advertised the battery powered toy as having ''a grooved stick and handle for easy riding'', One mum in New Jersey US said '' what were they thinking of''' another in Ohio told how her 12 year old daughter played with the broomstick for hours she said '' she likes it's special effects... so does her 17 year old sister'' Sent Packing Charles D. McKinley, 25, of Brooklyn, N.Y., had four weeks of vacation coming, so he decided to visit his parents in DeSoto, Texas.
Rather than buy a plane ticket for $320, McKinley, a shipping clerk, packed himself into a shipping crate and air-expressed himself home, charging the fees to his employer. When the crate was delivered to his parents' front step, McKinley pushed out of the box and shook hands with the "shaken and frightened" delivery driver. The driver called the police. After an investigation by the FBI, the U.S. attorney, postal inspectors, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Security Administration, McKinley was charged as a stowaway, a federal misdemeanor. (Dallas Morning News) ...If he had only waited for the driver to leave, he would have been home free.
your application by post. This application form will be different from the EHIC application form available in the UK, and will be modified to prove your entitlement to the new UKissued EHIC card. What the EHIC covers and does not cover European Health Insurance Card - New EU regulations from 1st May 2010 Due to changes in European Union regulations, from 1st May 2010 the United Kingdom may be responsible for the issue of your European Health Insurance Card instead of the member state where you live. This will apply if you are a national of an EU member state and live in an EU member state, and:receive your state pension or other long-term benefit from the UK and you have registered the form E121 with the health authorities in the member state where you live. It will cover most medical treatment that becomes necessary during your stay because of either illness or an accident, routine maternity care, (provided the reason for your visit is not specifically to give birth), the provision of oxygen, renal dialysis and routine medical care. But it will not cover the costs of private healthcare or services that are not part of the state healthcare system. It will not cover the costs of being brought back to your home country or allow you to go abroad to specifically receive treatment (including going abroad to give birth). The card may not be used in some regions, as there may be no state provided healthcare available The EHIC is NOT an alternative to travel insurance. It will not cover any private
medical healthcare or the cost of things such as mountain rescue in ski resorts, repatriation or lost or stolen property. Always take out separate travel insurance, even if you're visiting a country where your EHIC is valid. A decent Travel Insurance policy will cover other medical costs that the EHIC will not, such as paying for your return journey if illness delays you, or covering your personal contributions towards treatment. You will also normally receive cover for non-medical emergencies, such as replacing possessions or a lost passport etc. Visit www.globelink.co.uk get a quote instantly and arrange cover securely online. The United Mexican States, commonly known as Mexico, is a federal constitutional republic in North America. It is bordered on the north by the United States; on the south and west by the Pacific Ocean; on the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea; and on the east by the Gulf of Mexico. Covering almost 2 million square kilometres, Mexico is the fifth-largest country in the Americas by total area and the 14th largest independent nation in the world. It is the 11th most populous country and the most populous Hispanophone country on earth. Mexico is a federation comprising thirty-one states and a Federal District, the capital city.
In Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica many cultures matured into advanced civilizations such as the Olmec, the Toltec, the Teotihuacan, the Zapotec, the Maya and the Aztec before the first contact with Europeans.In1521,Spain conquered and colonized the territory, which was administered as the viceroyalty of New Spain which would eventually become Mexico as the colony gained independence in 1821. The post-independence period was characterized by economic instability, territorial secession and civil war, including foreign intervention, two empires and two long domestic dictatorships. The latter led to the Mexican Revolution in 1910, which culminated with the promulgation of the 1917 Constitution and the emergence of the country's current political system.Elections held in July 2000 marked the first time that an opposition party won the presidency from the Institutional Revolutionary Party After New Spain won independence from Spain, it was decided that the new country would be named after its capital, Mexico City, which was founded in 1524 on top of the ancient Aztec capital of MテゥxicoTenochtitlan. The name comes from the Nahuatl language, but its meaning is not known. It has been suggested that it is derived from Mextli or Mト度ihtli, a secret name for the god of war and patron of the Aztecs, Huitzilopochtli, in which case Mト度ihco means "Place where Mト度ihtli lives".
Climate The Tropic of Cancer effectively divides the country into temperate and tropical zones. Land north of the twenty-fourth parallel experiences cooler temperatures during the winter months. South of the twenty-fourth parallel, temperatures are fairly constant year round and vary solely as a function of elevation. This gives Mexico one of the world's most diverse weather systems
Approximately 2,500 species are protected by Mexican legislations.
Mexico is one of the 18 megadiverse countries of the world. With over 200,000 different species, Mexico is home of 10–12% of the world's biodiversity. Mexico ranks first in biodiversity in reptiles with 707 known species, second in mammals with 438 species, fourth in amphibians with 290 species, and fourth in flora, with 26,000 different species. Mexico is also considered the second country in the world in ecosystems and fourth in overall species.
Industry Among the most important industrial manufacturers in Mexico is the automotive industry, whose standards of quality are internationally recognized. The automobile sector in Mexico differs from that in other Latin American countries and developing nations in that it does not function as a mere assembly manufacturer. The industry produces technologically complex components and engages in some research and development activities. The "Big Three" (General Motors, Ford and Chrysler) have been operating in Mexico since the 1930s, while Volkswagen and Nissan built their plants in the 1960s.

The Deli - Arroyo de la miel Walking into the Deli in Arroyo de la Miel and receiving a warm welcome from one of the friendly family members who run this charming establishment was a breath of fresh air. For a change the sun was shining, so the terrace heaters were off and I found a nice place to sit and 'people watch'. I ordered a coffee (and being a coffee lover I must admit this was a very good coffee) then had a look at the menu. Being quite early in the day, I was looking for a brunch type of fare. The menu offers a huge selection, making decisions quite hard it was easier to look at the wide variety of pies, pasties quiches etc. Displayed on the counter, There is a superb selection available. All the food is made in-house, from the different variations of bread (including bloomers/ciabatta/rolls), to the pies, pasties, cakes, tarts and desserts. The Deli is a family business with Kelli, Jo and daughter Lily running the front of the house and day to day meal preparations. It's cosy inside the Deli with chalk boards showing the delicious wares and also a specials board which changes
daily-on my visit, one of the choices was butter nut squash and ginger soup. The mouthwatering smell of fresh-baked bread and pies waiting around certainly heightens the appetite. I will return and try some more of the things I had to say no to the first time round. My next visit will include one of the Delis fresh baked home-made pies with hand cut chips. The Deli also offers an all-day breakfast, which comes with tea or coffee for 4.95 Euros. There is also a vegan breakfast or continental, if you require a lighter option. Spit-roast chickens are also available to eat in or take away. Part of the Deli's special service is home and office deliveries in a radius of around 12km and customers using this service receive a daily fax, letting them know the specials for the day. Deli is open from 9am until 7pm, from Monday to Saturday during the winter months and also open on Sunday during the summer months. I had to finish my brunch with one of their WOW milkshakes – it starts as a vanilla base and then you have a choice of sweet flavours, like Kitkat, Crunchie, Mars,Smarties and loads more – including the one I just couldn't say no to – Jaffa Cakes!

by Jan Morley PAN FRIED HAKE WITH WARM TOMATO & ANCHOVY SALSA This is quick to make, and gives a really fresh and healthy feel to fast food! It is low in fat and can be made in about 30 minutes or even less! It is an ideal recipe for a hot balmy day, when you want to spend as little time as possible in the kitchen. The hake can be substituted for any other white fish fillets, such as cod, haddock or halibut, choose whichever is the freshest! Because the actual cooking time of the fish is only a few minutes, I would suggest that you cook the potatoes first, and then chop all the other vegetables and herbs, and anchovies as instructed in the recipe, and then place into dishes. They are now ready to toss in the pan as required. Have everything at hand, e.g. the olive oil, salt and pepper, warm serving plates etc.
Ingredients (serves 4): 4 hake fillets, approximately 175g each 3 tablespoon olive oil 250g cherry tomatoes cut into quarters 8 spring onions, sliced at a diagonal angle 1 tsp caster sugar Splash white wine vinegar Fresh thyme and coriander, chopped Small tin anchovies Packet rocket Salt and pepper
Cook the baby new potatoes, in boiling salted water, until just tender Brush each hake fillet with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper Place skin side down in a large frying pan, place on medium heat and turn when crisp and golden, and cook the other side, 3-4 minutes each side, depending on the thickness, until just cooked, sprinkle with the tiny thyme leaves and then transfer to a plate and keep warm Add a little extra oil to the pan, turn the heat up a little, and throw in the cherry tomatoes and finely sliced spring onions, stir in the sugar and white wine vinegar, toss in the oil , for 2 minutes until warmed through, sprinkle with coriander Toss the rocket with a little olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice, add the quartered warm new potatoes To serve , place the fish on top of a pile of rocket and potatoes, spoon over the tomato and anchovy salsa, add a little juice from the pan too Serve immediately garnished with extra coriander TOP TIP If you place the fish fillets into a cold pan, and then place on the heat, as this prevents the fish from curling up.
Enjoy!
Hypno-band weght loss system, gaining popularity The Hypno-Band Weight Loss System is becoming increasingly popular both in the UK and in Spain. At first glance, you would think that there is some kind of surgical operation involved, but of course, that is not the case. It’s all in the mind! The gastric band is ‘virtual’ and the ‘operation’ is done while the patient is lying comfortably in a state of hypnosis and enjoying a very relaxing and pleasurable experience. There are now just over 100 licensed Hypno-Band Therapists practising in various parts of the world, with the bulk of them based in the UK. However, we have recently acquired a Hypno-Band Therapist here on the Costa del Sol. Neil Paterson has been a professional hypnotherapist for 15 years and is now fully licensed to give Hypno-Band sessions at his Practice in Mijas Costa near the Hotel Tamisa Golf. ‘It is amazing, even for someone who is used to seeing some remarkable changes in people using hypnosis, that almost all of those who have gone through the Hypno-Band course of treatment, are losing weight consistently until their ideal weight has been achieved’ says Neil. Why is this method of losing weight so successful? ‘Well, I think it’s because the Hypno-Band doesn’t require you to go on a diet. It doesn’t tell you to stop eating the food you like, is free from pain and doesn’t make you feel deprived of food. You eat until you feel satisfied. Because you eat smaller portions than before and you feel like exercising more, it is only natural that you will lose weight over a reasonable time frame.’ Hypno-Band is a life-changing treatment that will create a positive change in you that will last for the rest of your life. If you want to know more about this revolutionary new treatment, check out the following websites: www.hypnotherapycostadelsol.com www.hypnoband.com
Girls are like phones. They love to be held, talked too but if you press the wrong button you'll be disconnected! Breaking the code is This months play at the Salon Varietes TheatreFuengirola This is the story of Alan Turing, the computer pioneer, who savedcountlesslivesbyinventingamachinethatcouldbreak the German Enigma code, consequently preventing the German U-boats from starving the United Kingdom into submission during World War 2. The play tells the story of his childhood, his relationship with his mother and his idolatry of his school friend Christopher Morcom who died an untimely death. WegotoBletchleyParkwheretheactualcodebreakerswere housed in the Government Code and Cipher School where Alan Turing was to work on the breaking of the particular code.He revelled in his work but found it difficult to "fit in" with other boffins. He detested rules and regulations and used to chain his tea mug to the radiator because they were in short supply! Winston Churchill thought the world of him and he was eventually awarded an OBE for serviceing fors country. However dark clouds were gathering for Alan Turing and the knives were out- he didnt stand a chance for he was a homosexual and did little to hide it! The play then unfolds and challenges our emotions. A fine cast is assembled to stretch their talents to cope admirably with the fine script. An apology was made to the nation by the British Prime Minister in September 2009 for the inhumane treatment Alan Turing received at the hands of the British government of the day. this production is a tribute to Alan Turing
Did you ever think it could be you When you drop that note or coin in the charity box do you ever think that one day it could be you that is being supported by this charity in future years? Well, it has happened to me. I am so grateful that they are there for you, no matter what creed, colour or nationality. I remember 8 – 10 years ago I was helping out with running raffles and working part time in the charity shop, little did I know that I would be in need of the very services that I was volunteering to help with. The help you receive is fantastic, nothing is too much bother and the level of care is second to none, whether its hospital care or just a sympathetic ear to listen to you in confidence and giving the right advice and help. So just remember next time you pass a support worker with a rattling can one day, it could be you they're supporting. Honouring those who improve the species.... by accidently removing themselves from it! GANGSTER BLUES 1999 Darwin Awards Personal Account A car full of gangsters was being pursued by a police car, and soon both began to fire at each other. Suddenly, one of the gangsters had the bright idea to throw a grenade against the police car. He pulled the pin and in the heat of the chase, he threw the pin out of the car instead of the grenade. The policemen saw the man doing this! The hand grenade exploded in the gangster's car, killing him instantly and wounding the other bandits. OVERKILL 1999 Darwin Awards Urban Legend In France, Jacques LeFevrier left nothing to chance when he decided to commit suicide. He stood atop a sheer cliff and tied a noose around his neck. He tied the other end of the rope to a large rock. He drank some poison and set fire to his clothes. He even tried to shoot himself at the last moment. He jumped and fired the pistol. The bullet missed him completely and cut through the rope above him. Now freed from the threat of hanging, he plunged into the sea. The dunking extinguished the flames and made him vomit the poison. He was dragged out of the water by a kind fisherman and was taken to a hospital, where he died of hypothermia. Jewellery/Fashion Corner by Ann French of WeDoBling.com Most people have heard of the popular fashion “Houses” around the world, located in cities such as Paris, London, Milan and New York. But Spain has its own fashion houses, designers and brands and they have been working their way into all the major high streets of the major cities around the world…. Spain is home to Inditex, headquartered in Coruña, and is one of the world’s largest leading clothing companies responsible for high street brands such as Zara, Pull & Bear, Berksha, Oysho, Massimo Dutti, Stradivaris and Uterqüe boasting a total of 4,530 stores in 73 countries! Mango, is headquartered in Barcelona and has 1,220 stores in 91 countries. Camper has over 200 stores in 30 countries and products are distributed in 70 different countries.
Having just named brands is not Spain’s only strength; there are the many designers who, with their creations and the international acclaim that they have achieved, have put Spanish fashion houses on an equal footing with those of Paris or Milan. The “father” of contemporary Spanish fashion was Cristobal Balenciaga, whose designs were worn to acclaim by Princess Grace of Monaco, Ginger Rogers, Pauline de Rothschild and Jackie Kennedy to name a few. His last creation was the wedding dress of the Duchess of Cadiz.
Another Spanish founding-father of a school of fashion is Paco Rabanne, who is not only famous for his costume designs for the film Barbarella, his renowned high street fashions ranges, but also known for the popular fragrance range carrying his name. Balenciaga and Rabanne achieved their fame, after moving to France, in the more established fashion shows of Paris rather than in their native Spain.
Today, Spain is home to some of the world’s most respected designers such as Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Amaya Arzuaga, Elena Benarroch, Victorio y Lucchino and Carolina Herrera to name but a few. Visit www.wedobling.com. Or why not come to our Easter Extravaganza Saturday 10th April, 12 noon to 3.30pm at Restaurante Los Arcos, Coin-Cartama Road, A7059, Km 6, Alhaurin el Grande. Have a fun day out at our Easter Fayre featuring handmade arts and crafts, mouthwatering food produce and trendy fashion goods or see a range of jewellery, scarves, handbags and handbag hangers at Papeleria Martin, Alhaurin el Grande.

This months amazing animal is the Meercat "Meerkat" is a loanword from Afrikaans. The name has a Dutch origin but by misidentification. Dutch meerkat refers to the "guenon", a monkey of the Cercopithecus genus. The word "meerkat" is Dutch for "lake cat", but the suricata is not in the cat family, and neither suricatas nor guenons are attracted to lakes; the word possibly started as a Dutch adaptation of a derivative of Sanskrit markaáša "monkey", perhaps in Africa via an Indian sailor on board a Dutch East India Company ship. The traders of the Dutch East India Company were likely familiar with monkeys, but the Dutch settlers attached the name to the wrong animal at the Cape. The suricata is called stokstaartje "little stick-tail" in Dutch. According to African popular belief (mainly in the Zambian/Zimbabwean region), the meerkat is also known as the sun angel, as it protects villages from the moon devil or the werewolf which is believed to attack stray cattle or lone The meerkat is a small diurnal herpestid (mongoose)
weighing on average about 731 grams (1.61 pounds) for males and 720 grams (1.58 pounds) for females. Its long slender body and limbs give it a body length of 25 to 35 cm (10 to 14 inches) and an added tail length of 17 to 25 cm (7 to 10 inches). Its tail is not bushy like all other mongoose species, but is rather long and thin and tapers to a black or reddish colored pointed tip. The meerkat uses its tail to balance when standing upright. Its face tapers, coming to a point at the nose, which is brown. The eyes always have black patches around them, which help deflect the sun's glare. The meerkat has small black crescent-shaped ears that can close when digging to keep sand out. Like cats, meerkats have binocular vision, a large peripheral range, depth perception, and eyes on the front of their faces. At the end of each of a meerkat's "fingers" is a non-retractable, strong, 2 cm (0.8 in) long, curved claw used for digging burrows and digging for prey. Claws are also used with muscular hindlegs to help climb the occasional tree. They have four toes on each foot and long slender limbs. The coat is usually fawn-colored peppered with gray, tan, or brown with a silver tint. They have short parallel stripes across their backs, extending from the base of the tail to the shoulders. The patterns of stripes are unique to each meerkat. The underside of the meerkat has no markings but the belly has a patch which is only sparsely covered with hair and shows the black skin underneath. The meerkat uses this area to absorb heat while standing on its rear legs, usually early in the morning after cold desert nights. Diet and foraging behaviour Meerkats are primarily insectivores, but also eat lizards, snakes, scorpions, spiders, plants, eggs, small mammals, millipedes, centipedes and, more rarely, small birds. They are partially immune to certain venoms; they are immune to the very strong venom of the scorpions of the Kalahari Desert, unlike humans. They have no excess body fat stores, so foraging for food is a daily need. Meerkats forage in a group with one "sentry" on guard watching for predators while the others search for food. Sentry duty is usually approximately an hour long. Baby meerkats do not start foraging for food until they are about 1 month old, and do so by following an older member of the group who acts as the pup's tutor. The meerkat standing guard makes peeping sounds when all is well. If the meerkat spots danger, it barks loudly or whistles.
As soon as the dragon saw him it rushed from its cave, roaring with a sound louder than thunder. Its head was immense and its tail fifty feet long. But St. George was not afraid. He struck the monster with his spear, hoping he would wound it.
The Legend of Saint George and the Dragon St. George is the patron saint of England. His emblem, a red cross on a white background, is the flag of England, and part of the British flag. St George's emblem was adopted by Richard The Lion Heart and brought to England in the 12th century. The king's soldiers wore it on their tunics to avoid confusion in battle. The most famous legend of Saint George is of him slaying a dragon. In the Middle Ages the dragon was commonly used to represent the Devil. The slaying of the dragon by St George was first credited to him in the twelfth century, long after his death. It is therefore likely that the many stories connected with St George's name are fictitious. There are many versions of story of St George slaying the dragon, but most agree on the following: 1. A town was terrorised by a dragon. 2. A young princess was offered to the dragon 3. When George heard about this he rode into the village 4. George slayed the dragon and rescued the princess St. George travelled for many months by land and sea until he came to Libya. Here he met a poor hermit who told him that everyone in that land was in great distress, for a dragon had long ravaged the country. 'Every day,' said the old man, 'he demands the sacrifice of a beautiful maiden and now all the young girls have been killed. The king's daughter alone remains, and unless we can find a knight who can slay the dragon she will be sacrificed tomorrow. The king of Egypt will give his daughter in marriage to the champion who overcomes this terrible monster.' When St. George heard this story, he was determined to try and save the princess, so he rested that night in the hermit's hut, and at daybreak set out to the valley where the dragon lived. When he drew near he saw a little procession of women, headed by a beautiful girl dressed in pure Arabian silk. The princess Sabra was being led by her attendants to the place of death. The knight spurred his horse and overtook the ladies. He comforted them with brave words and persuaded the princess to return to the palace. Then he entered the valley.
The dragon's scales were so hard that the spear broke into a thousand pieces. and St. George fell from his horse. Fortunately he rolled under an enchanted orange tree against which poison could not prevail, so that the venomous dragon was unable to hurt him. Within a few minutes he had recovered his strength and was able to fight again. He smote the beast with his sword but the dragon poured poison on him and his armour split in two. Once more he refreshed himself from the orange tree and then, with his sword in his hand, he rushed at the dragon and pierced it under the wing where there were no scales, so that it fell dead at his feet. Who was the real St George and what did he do to become England's patron saint? St George was a brave Roman soldier who protested against the Romans' torture of Christians and died for his beliefs. The popularity of St George in England stems from the time of the early Crusades when it is said that the Normans saw him in a vision and were victorious. St. George is believed to have been born in Cappadocia (now Eastern Turkey) in the year A.D. 270. He was a Christian. At the age of seventeen he joined the Roman army and soon became renowned for his bravery. He served under a pagan Emperor but never forgot his Christian faith. When the pagan Emperor Diocletian started persecuting Christians, St. George pleaded with the Emperor to spare their lives. However, St. George's pleas fell on deaf ears and it is thought that the Emperor Diocletian tried to make St. George deny his faith in Christ, by torturing him. St George showed incredible courage and faith and was finally beheaded near Lydda in Palestine on 23 April, 303 In 1222, the Council of Oxford declared April 23 to be St George’s Day and he replaced Edward the Confessor as England’s patron saint in the 14th century. In 1415, April 23 was made a national feast day. Patron Saint St George is patron saint not only of England but also of Aragon, Catalonia, England, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Lithuania, Palestine, Portugal, and Russia, as well as the cities of Amersfoort, Beirut, Bteghrine, Cåceres, Ferrara, Freiburg, Genoa, Ljubljana, Gozo, Pomorie, Qormi, Lod and Moscow. St George is also patron saint of scouts, soldiers, archers, cavalry and chivalry, farmers and field workers, riders and saddlers,

A Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine. "House" for instance, is feminine: "la casa." "Pencil," however, is masculine: "el lapiz." A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?" Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation. The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la ordenadora"), because: 1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic; 2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and 4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your pay check on accessories for it. (THIS GETS BETTER!) The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine ("el ordenador"), because: 1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on; 2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves; 3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.
Cinderella is now 95 years old. After a fulfilling life with the now dead prince, she happily sits upon her rocking chair, watching the world go by from her front porch, with a cat named Bob for companionship. One sunny afternoon out of nowhere, appeared the fairy godmother. Cinderella said, "Fairy Godmother, what are you doing here after all these years"? The fairy godmother replied, "Cinderella, you have lived an exemplary life since I last saw you. Is there anything for which your heart still yearns?" Cinderella was taken aback, overjoyed, and after some thoughtful consideration, she uttered her first wish: "The prince was wonderful, but not much of an investor. I'm living hand to mouth on my disability cheques, and I wish I were wealthy beyond comprehension. Instantly her rocking chair turned into solid gold. Cinderella said, "Ooh, thank you, Fairy Godmother" The fairy godmother replied, "It is the least that I can do. What do you want for your second wish?" Cinderella looked down at her frail body, and said, "I wish I were young and full of the beauty and youth I once had." At once, her wish became reality, and her beautiful young visage returned.
Cinderella felt stirrings inside her that had been dormant for years. And then the fairy godmother spoke once more: "You have one more wish; what shall it be?" Cinderella looks over to the frightened cat in the corner and says, "I wish for you to transform Bob, my old cat, into a kind and handsome young man." Magically, Bob suddenly underwent so fundamental a change in his biological make-up that, when he stood before her, he was a man so beautiful the likes of him neither she nor the world had ever seen. The fairy godmother said, "Congratulations, Cinderella, enjoy your new life." With a blazing shock of bright blue electricity, the fairy godmother was gone as suddenly as she appeared. For a few eerie moments, Bob and Cinderella looked into each other's eyes. Cinderella sat, breathless, gazing at the most beautiful, stunningly perfect man she had ever seen. Then Bob walked over to Cinderella, who sat transfixed in her rocking chair, & held her close in his young muscular arms. He leaned in close, blowing her golden hair with his warm breath as he whispered... "Bet you're sorry now that you cut my nuts off"
