Anyone that has watched the TV series, “Dalziel & Pascoe” will recognise the name but can they pronounce Dalziel, the owner Kirsty’s surname? It is a Scottish clan name from Lanarkshire, pronounced “Dee-El”. So now you know! Dalziel’s café bar is conveniently situated half way between the coast and Arroyo de la Miel up from Paloma Park and near Mercadona. The comfortable terrace with all day sun makes it the perfect stop for a cold drink on the way up the hill to the station. The bar has free WiFi so you catch up with distant friends while you are there. They serve 2 draught lagers from 1€ a glass, plus a variety of bottled beers, ciders, wines, soft drinks and spirits, Spanish coffee and English tea.

Kirsty and Wayne have been running the bar for 2 years and have built up a cosmopolitan clientele. Because of the name issue, “The 19th Hole” is etched on the window and many people use that in preference (Kirsty is the golfer). They specialise in made to order all day breakfasts and breakfast rolls (from 2€), including a Scottish Special (lorne sausage, haggis, black pudding, bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomato and toast), toasties, sandwiches (try the “Club”), wraps, burgers, pizzas and children’s dishes. If it’s not on the menu they will do their best to accommodate you. Private parties (buffets from 3€ per person) or 24 hour pre-ordered full meals (home made lasagne, chilli etc.) can also be catered for. If the weather is poor, why not wile away the hours playing pool or darts inside the bar? Once you have found them (and that is the challenge) you won’t forget them. P.S. To help, check out the Map of Benalmadena P72, you will find them on it.

Bad Idea: Benjamin Keyser, 23, thought it would be funny to climb out the moon roof of his friend's pickup truck as it was heading down a highway in Chatham, N.Y. "He immediately lost his balance, slid down the windshield and front hood," said State Police Capt. Scott Brown, "and the truck ran him over." Keyser's friends rushed him to a hospital; he was treated for a broken femur, and facial and bodily injuries, according to authorities. "It appears that alcohol played a part in this accident," Brown said. "The victim had consumed alcohol just before this happened." (MS/Hudson Register Star) ...That's good, because otherwise we would have thought he was just stupid. Herd about my pony: Like many 15-year-old girls, Regina Mayer really wanted a horse, but her parents said no, even though they live on a farm in Laufen, Germany. So the girl has been training a substitute: a cow. "She thinks she's a horse," Mayer says, and sure enough, she rides the bovine frequently; "Luna" even negotiates small jumps. It took about six months of careful training before Mayer tried to get

on the heifer for a ride, but now, Luna even understands commandslike "gallop"and "stand". Of course, the rider admits, "When she wants to do something she does it, when she doesn't, she doesn't." Mayer's parents may soon relent and let her get a horse, but Luna, now 2, will always be special. "She'll stay my darling," Regina says. (RC/AP) ...Right up until the minute they eat her. Lesson in Anti- Bullying: The kids of an Ipswich, Qld., Australia, family are in a heap of trouble. Their father says he caught his 17-year-old son and his 15-year-old daughter bashing a 13-year-old boy so badly that they broke his jaw. The man, identified only as "Matt", took the victim home to his parents, then took his two children to the police station and turned them in for the crime; they were charged with assault. Matt said he will support any charges pressed by the victim's parents. He also sold his son's car and his daughter's horse as punishment. Matt said he was enraged because he had been a victim of similar attacks when he was younger. A police spokesman said his timing is good: it was "Anti-bullying awareness week". The two children are reportedly remorseful, and hope the money from the sale of the horse and car will go to the victim. (JW/Sydney Morning Herald) ...I guess anti-bullying awareness week worked Druggie DA: A police officer on patrol in a heavy drug-sales area of Las Vegas, Nev., noticed a BMW stop at a home and take on a passenger. Then the officer saw the BMW drop off the passenger at an apartment building, park, and wait for the passenger to return, the resulting report says. When the officer subsequently stopped the BMW for a traffic violation, the passenger fled; after being caught and arrested he revealed that the driver, known to him as "Joe," had been giving him $40 several times a week to buy cocaine. The drug was indeed found in the BMW, and Clark County District Attorney David Roger says "Joe" will be "prosecuted and held accountable just like anyone else" -- "Joe" was actually Deputy D.A. David Schubert, a member of state and federal drug task forces who has run a number of high-profile prosecutions, including Paris Hilton. (AC/Las Vegas Sun) .( picure shows Schubert at the Hilton trial and his recent mugshot) The real test of a DA's integrity isn't prosecuting celebrities, it's prosecuting prosecutors.

Classic car Andalucia At our last monthly club meeting 5th April, Ian Giles had the pleasure of making a charitable donation of €1,500 to Laura Haggis Sottas, fundraiser on behalf of CUDECA. €1.080 was raised, hosted by Luis Gracian and family. Luis requested that this sum raised should be donated to a charity of CCCA's choosing. The balance was made of from club funds. Sat 9th April was the club's monthly run, this time being organised by Gerry and Kirstie Denn. The start was from Sol y Sombra (formerly the 19th hole). The route took us through Alhaurin, Cartama and Pizara on to our coffee . stop at Carratraca. Onwards, cross country to El Burgo and then a most spectacular run up tho Ronda ( this road is rated as one of the top 5 European routes by Top Gear ) and I'm sure there were some aspiring Jeremy Clarksons. Finishing at El Prado Monte Halcones where the weather allowed us to eat al fresco, albeit under parasols as some of the participants were displaying early signs of sun burn, where and excellent lunch was served. Pictures from this run can be viewed on the CCCAwebsite www.cccandalucia.com

Xmas Island Area: 135 000 sq km Population: 1,403 Capital City: Its a small Island Official Language: English, Malay, Chinese Religion : Buddhism, Christian Currency : Australian Dollars Christmas Island is one of natures most impressive feats, an island full of natural wonders: from the unique annual red crab migration to rare and unusual birds and glorious deserted beaches where the only footprints in the sand are those made by nesting turtles. With so many endemic species, the island is often referred to as the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean. Yet it also displays a curious amalgam of cultures, history and industry, emerging as a place where all these elements create a truly unusual travel experience. The Island is a territory of Australia in the Indian Ocean. It is located 2,600km Northwest of the Western Australian city of Perth. It has a population of 1,403 residents who live in a number of "settlement areas" on the northern tip of the island:

Flying Fish Cove (also known as Kampong), Silver City, Poon Saan, and Drumsite. The island’s geographic isolation and history of minimal human disturbance has led to a high level of endemism among its flora and fauna, which is of significant interest to scientists and naturalists. 63% of its 135 square km is an Australian national park. With large areas of primary monsoonal forest. Phosphate, deposited originally as dead marine organisms, has been mined on the island for many years. History Captain William Mynors of the Royal Mary, a British East India Company vessel, named the island when he sailed past it on Christmas Day in 1643. The island was included on British and Dutch navigation charts as early as the beginning of the seventeenth century, but it was not until 1666 when Dutch cartographer Pieter Goos included the island. British navigator William Dampier, made the earliest recorded visit to the island in March 1688. He found it uninhabited. Dampier was trying to reach Cocos from New Holland. His ship was pulled off course in an easterly direction, arriving at Christmas Island 28 days later. Dampier landed at the Dales (on the west coast). Two of his crewmen were the first recorded humans to have set foot on Christmas Island. The first attempt at exploring the island was in 1857 by the crew of the Amethyst.

They tried to reach the summit of the island, but found the cliffs impassable. In 1887, Captain Maclear of HMS Flying Fish, discovered an anchorage in a bay that he named Flying Fish Cove, landed a party and made a small but interesting collection of the flora and fauna. In the next year, Pelham Aldrich, visited it for ten days, accompanied by J. J. Lister, who gathered a larger biological and mineralogical collection.Among the rocks then obtained were many of nearly pure phosphate of lime, a discovery which led to annexation of the island by the British Crown on 6 June 1888. Soon afterwards, a small settlement was established in Flying Fish Cove by the owner of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands (some 900 kms to the south west) to collect timber and supplies for the growing industry on Cocos. Phosphate mining began in the 1890s Japanese invasion in 1941, Christmas Island was a target for Japanese occupation because of its rich phosphate deposits. A naval gun was installed under a British officer and four NCOs supported by Indian soldiers. During the night of 10–11 March a mutiny of the Indian troops, abetted by the Sikh policemen, led to the murder of the five British soldiers. On 31 March, a Japanese fleet arrived and the island was surrendered. The

workforce were made to resume the mining and export of phosphate. Isolated acts of sabotage and the torpedoing of the Nissei Maru meant that only small amounts of phosphate were exported to Japan during the occupation. In October 1945 HMS Rother reoccupied Christmas Island. Transfer to Australia At Australia's request, the United Kingdom transferred sovereignty to Australia; in 1957, the Australian government paid Singapore £2.9 million in compensation.since 1997, Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands together are called the Australian Indian Ocean Territories Red Crab Migration The annual red crab mass migration to the sea to spawn has been described by ecologists as 'one of the wonders of the natural world' and is Christmas Island's claim to fame amongst naturalists. Nowhere else on earth do crabs occur in these numbers and the spectacle is an experience not to be forgotten Bird Watching Christmas Island is one of the world’s truly spectacular tropical seabird breeding stations. It’s not just the number and variety of seabirds, or their magnificant splendour, but also their sheer visibility it is estimated that around 80,000 seabirds nest here annually.

The Cosy Nook On the recommendation of a friend we called down to the paseo on the Carihuela to the Cosy Nook restaurant and were we glad we did We were made to feel very welcome by Kay and the staff, nothing was too much trouble looking at the faces of the other diners. We settled down and went through the very extensive menu that catered for everyone with daytime snacks, pic n mix breakfast, kids menus, daily specials, vegetarians and all home made on the premises. We chose from the dinner menu, served after 6 and you could have a mixed grill or BBQ rack of

ribs, surf and turf, steaks there was so much but we decided on the combo, with 2 half chickens, BBQ ribs, onion rings, fresh made coleslaw, salad and home made chips. Wow what a plate. When it arrived we loved every mouthful all for only 19.95€ for two an absolute bargain. So if you are on the paseo at the Torremolinos end of Carihuela do call in to the Cosy Nook as you won't be disappointed because we weren't and we will certainly be back to try the Sunday roast special with topside of beef, chicken or pork loin with all the trimmings 8.50€ or 15.00€ for two and a great choice of home made desserts to try as well.

Dannii Minogue was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery at the weekend after suffering crippling stomach pains. The X Factor judge was diagnosed with acute appendicitis - caused by an inflammation of the appendix and went under the knife just 2 hours after arriving at a West London hospital. 'Dannii was taken into hospital on Saturday with pains in her stomach,' her spokesman confirms. 'She was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and had an emergency operation to remove her appendix. 'She is now convalescing.' After spending the week under round-the-clock care, Dannii, 39, was discharged yesterday and is recovering with partner Kris Smith, 32, and 9-month-old baby son Ethan by her side. Prince William and Kate Middleton are now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge The Queen has given the title of the Duke of Cambridge to Prince William, his wife Kate Middleton will be Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge. Media speculates, that this title was chosen because the last Duke of Cambridge also married a commoner for love. Prince William will be the 3rd Duke of Cambridge. Prince George, known as the 2nd Duke of Cambridge, was born in 1819. He was a grandson of George III and the only son of Prince Adolphus Frederick, the 1st Duke of Cambridge. William has also become the Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus, which means Miss Middleton has also become the Countess of Strathearn and Baroness Carrickfergus. Williams Parents Charles and Diana were made Prince and Princess of Wales before their wedding. Prince Charles second Wife has the title Dutchess of Cornwall. Royal Wedding Guests Celebrity pals, family members from around the world, and a total of six ex-partners were chosen to be among exclusive group who were invited to the Royal Wedding. A total of 650 people were chosen to celebrate at the Palace: 50 guests received their invite directly from the Queen, 250

were invited by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, and 100 by the Middleton Family. William and Kate themselves had invited 250 of their friends and family. Only 300 of the guests stayed for the evening reception hosted by Prince Charles. David and Victoria Beckham, film director Guy Ritchie, Singer Elton John and Comedian Rowan Atkinson were some of the celebrities who attended. British Prime Minister David Cameron was also among the guests. The decision of Prince William to invite all (four) of his ex-girlfriends, and of Kate to invite two of her ex-boyfriends, lead to a lot of discussion in British media. Another surprise were the many guests from their favourite holiday spot, the Caribbean island of Mustique. They included hotel managers and even a barkeeper. Prince William had broken with another tradition by inviting a number of his staff to the reception, including Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, the prince’s private secretary, and his press officer Miguel Head Queen Victoria Victoria Beckham is never one to balk at self promotion and what better occasion than the Royal Wedding? She chose one of her own designs for Prince William and Kate Middleton's big day. Victoria was blooming as she prepares to become a 4th-time mum. Believed to be 6 months pregnant, she stood out from the crowd in her own design as she arrived at Westiminster Abbey for the ceremony. The gorgeous navy blue dress fitted Victoria's pregnant shape beautifully, with a slash boat-neck and a cloak-style draped back. Victoria accessorised the look with customised killer Louboutins and a bespoke Philip Treacy hat adorned with a gemstone and curly twigs. A slick ponytail, smoky eyes and bit of bronzer finished her look. See you next month Lyndsey Thesentinellamalaga@gmail.com

The typical “Costa del Sol” sunshine is here, spring (and lots of pollen!) is in the air and soon we will be pleased to relieve our feet from socks, tights and trainers, boots, warm slippers etc... But no doubt your feet will need some T.L.C, to say the least, in order to make them both look more presentable in open sandals, flip-flops and peep toe shoes. So to “de-winter” your feet and putting in them in summer-mode, they will require some work whether you are a woman, man, teenager or even children. The route to beautiful, bare feet might seem a long way away, but really it can be all done in 60-90 minutes! Starting with a pleasant warm foot soak (6-10 min.) Secondly, probably the most important point in foot care is to analyse both feet thoroughly. Perhaps the nails are slightly heaped with or without layers in, slightly ridged or a different colour? The heels might be thicker that they should, skin slightly yellow and/or cracked, the balls of the feet tender or too thick with layers of extra skin. Cuticles build up around and over the nails; these can cause an infection if not removed properly. There is also a danger that slipper -and sock fluff has nestled under the toe nails and this could cause a fungus infections due to bacteria build up which then leads to typical discoloured nails ( sometimes crumbling too) that need treatment with anti-fungus medication. All this in itself does not sound very attractive does it? But then again, feet do look a whole lot better without these extras, and the good news is there is a cure/solution for all this. Corns can be found on the bottom of our feet, but also elsewhere, such as between the toes, etc. Caused by friction and continuously pressing on the same points. Slightly painful bunions will also benefit from open shoes again, as the pressure will be released. I warn most of my clients with corns and similar problems NOT to apply corn plasters themselves. They contain a strong salicylic acid based cream that most of the time gets rid of the healthy skin around the problem zone rather that just eliminating the corn! Dangerous in particular in people who are diabetic and for anyone else as it can cause serious infections. Corns are best removed by fully qualified chiropodists or someone who is qualified for medicated foot care....... Arte Hair

Get to know your testes Although uncommon, cancer of the testis is the most common cancer in young men in the UK. About 1 in 500 men between the ages of 15 and 50 develop cancer of the testis. The exact cause is not known. However, if caught early it is one of the easiest cancers to treat and cure. So, If you are a teenage boy or young man, you should get to know how your testes normally feel. Any changes would then be easier to detect. This is especially important for brothers of people with cancer of the testis as they have a higher than average chance of developing this type of cancer. Normal testes The best time to feel your testes is after a bath or shower when you are relaxed. Hold each testis in turn in the palm of a hand, and use your finger and thumb to gently feel the testes and nearby structures. It is normal for one testes to be slightly bigger than the other, and for one to hang slightly lower than the other. The testes themselves feel like smooth, soft balls inside the baggy scrotum. At the top and to the back of each testis is the epididymis (this stores the sperm). This feels like a soft swelling attached to the testis, and can be quite tender if you press it firmly. Leading from the epididymis is the vas deferens. You can feel each vas deferens at each side at the back and top of the scrotum. They feel like soft, narrow tubes which pass up and into the groin. (The vas deferens carries the sperm to the penis.) Some people confuse the normal epididymis or vas deferens with an abnormal lump. What changes should I look out for? If you notice any change in size or weight

of a testis, or any abnormal lumps swellings, or tender spots, then see your doctor or practice nurse. Doctors & nurses are used to examining testes and will be able to advise if the abnormality is serious or not. Note: most abnormalities are not cancer. For example: collections of fluid, infections, and harmless cysts are common and treatable. Cancer of the testis usually starts as a small, hard, painless lump on one testis which you can feel away from the normal soft lump of the epididymis. What if it is cancer? Treatment of cancer of the testis is often effective. In more than 9 in 10 cases, treatment can result in a complete cure. However, the earlier it is detected the easier it is to treat. More than a third of people with this cancer consult their doctor after the cancer has spread which makes treatment more difficult. Often this is because of unfounded fears, or just hoping it will go away.

Honouring those who improve the species.... by accidently removing themselves from it! or almost! Not Fast Enough Food 2008 Darwin Award Nominee Confirmed True by Darwin (30 October 2008, Oklahoma) Peter G., 32, was an accomplished big cat keeper. With his huge heart and gift of connecting with animals, this former Tulsa Zoo keeper was the perfect volunteer at Safari's Animal Sanctuary in Broken Arrow. Perfect until the liger incident. You may ask, as we asked, "What's a liger?" Ligers are unusual animals, a sterile cross between a male lion and a female tiger, and (like mules) not a species in their own right. Although a liger is a evolutionary dead end, this powerful hybrid is the largest of cats. Rocky, the liger that lived in Broken Arrow, was known as a big baby but he was not a domestic animal. The wildlife sanctuary manager said, "In all my years we've stressed that whatever you do, don't open that gate." Peter opened that gate. For reasons unknown, he violated the rules and

entered the liger cage during feeding time, only to become an appetizer for the hungry carnivore. Although he dragged himself out of the cage before becoming the main course, Peter was loved, and he will be missed, but he was well aware of the dangers posed by captive wild animals. By not following very obvious safety rules, Peter was behaving with all the care he died in the hospital that very night.and caution typical of a Darwin Award winner. Burp. One Foot In The Pool... 2008 Darwin Award Nominee Confirmed True by Darwin (24 August 2008, Jakarta, Indonesia) Charles had everything going for him. He had just completed his International Baccalaureate at King William's College in the Isle of Man, and his dreams were ambitious. He planned retire by the age of thirty. The principal of the college posthumously described him as "a very bright boy with a very bright future." Unfortunately for Charles, his elite education omitted an important lesson from the curriculum: Electricity, danger of. He had one foot in the backyard swimming pool (really) when he noticed a cement box full of electrical wires near the edge of the pool. It was a junction box supplying power to the jacuzzi. Curious, Charles started to fiddle with a fistful of wires, and was immediately rooted to the spot by 240 volts of electrical current surging through his body. A bright future and early retirement were, indeed, in his cards.

STOP ... before you “just sign here, on the dotted line! Would you sign a document in the UK without fully understanding it? So, why do so in Spain? Unfortunately, many non Spanish speaking expats are encouraged to sign contracts, written in Spanish, without fully understanding the content. Maybe it is the embarrassment of not wanting to ask too many questions or the feeling of helplessness at not understanding the language. Whatever the reason, do not sign anything that you do not fully understand, nor totally agree with.On the other hand, when necessary, do not omit to draw up a contract, whether it is to privately rent a property, sell a business or simply sell your vehicle. A valid contract can save you a lot of headaches.

Did you know that if you sell a vehicle in Spain and the new owner fails to change the ownership document (Permiso de Circulacion), you will continue to be liable for any taxes or fines incurred by that vehicle? A private Sales Contract (Contrato de Compraventa), correctly executed, signed and dated at the time of sale, can be used in evidence to challenge these charges. Did you know that, unless stated otherwise, Spanish law allows the owner of a premises to increase the rent charged to a new lessee by 20% upon the transfer of an operating licence? Owners are also known to include clauses entitling them to a percentage of the transfer price ... this can make selling the business rather costly! Ensure you understand all the clauses in the contract and Spanish law pertaining to your contract, before signing on the dotted line. Drawing up a contract in Spain need not be a complicated nor costly procedure. For further information contact us at info@ccbspain.com or call 952 48 68 06.

Spanish funnel web spider In Andalucia there dwells a fairly large, black burrowing spider belonging to the venomous funnel-web family. Its scientific name is Macrothele calpeiana and it belongs to the Hexathelidae group which is normally associated with Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Central Africa and South America. It is known in Spanish as “La araña negra de los alcornocales”, Although not lethal like it's Aussie cousin, the Spanish funnel web spider is one of the most dangerous spiders in Europe. The appearance of both spiders is almost identical, except with the Australian one being a little larger. Funnel webs are very aggressive spiders and will readily bite if confronted. They are nocturnal, and lie in wait at their funnel entrance for prey to become stuck onto the silken web. Their diets consists of invertebrates such as beetles, woodlice, centipedes and crickets, and on rare occasions small reptiles like geckos. The Andalucian funnel-web spider is considered to be the largest in Europe and is easily recognized. They are jet black with a glossy carapace and fine hairs on their legs and abdomen. The 1.5cm long spinnerets, at the rear, almost look like extra legs. The body can be up to 3.5cm long and the stretched legs reaching a span of 8cm.When under threat it can raise up its front legs into an attack position, exposing its fangs. Habitat Be cautious if you are moving logs, rocks etc and see a tube like web.The first sign of their location is a silken white, sheetlike web anchored firmly to twigs, rocks, plants etc. This narrows to a tube near the centre, the entrance to the tunnel, which often leads to cooler depths underground. There may be a labyrinth of several entrances to the one tunnel, they are rarely communal. The range of sites for these webs can be a simple scrape under a rock, vegetated banks, under logs, crevices in dry-stone walls, tree trunk bases

and even tree hollows up to 2metres above ground level. The underground portion can be to a depth of 80cm, the upper part of which has a non-sticky web lining and the rest is left bare. The day-time temperature at the burrow end can be 3 to 5 degrees centigrade cooler than at the entrance. They prefer undisturbed areas and are active at night. Be cautious if you are moving logs, rocks etc and see a tube like web. It is the only spider in Europe to be protected by the European union habitats directive. They are found mostly in the cádiz and málaga provinces with smaller numbers in scattered enclaves discovered in Huelva, Seville, Granada, Jaén, Gibraltar and the furthest north Badajoz in Extremadura. They prefer undisturbed areas and are active at night. Reproduction Around April-May males will wander around at night in search of one or more female with which to breed. It is thought that there are pheromones in the silk of a female’s web that attract a mate. A gentle courtship ensues, as the male does not want to become the next meal. The female will eat more over the ensuing weeks, then in early July seal herself into the retreat in order to produce the egg sac. The females care for the egg sac by carrying it with them, manoeuvring to different parts of the tunnel to maintain the right levels of temperature and humidity. The young have their first moult within the sac and she then helps to release them using her fangs. Possibly 100 to 250 eggs will hatch into spiderlings. They will accompany the female to the outer web after dark and are thought to feed on smaller prey. At some point cannibalism amongst the young may occur triggering dispersal of the survivors. At this point many of the young will fall prey to other animals. Threat &Symptoms When threatened the spider with raise its front legs into an attack position and show its large fangs. It may even produce a hissing sounds known as stridulation. The bite causes localized pain and dermatitis at entry. The venom of this spider is neurotoxic and may produce systematic symptoms including stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, inflammation, an increase in blood pressure and heart palpitations that can in severe cases lead to heart failure. Symptoms can last for several weeks and the wound may weep and be slow to heal. Other systemic symptoms may include arthralgia and piloerection.

She explained the girls had been touring colleges and schools in the UK performing up to 4 shows a day promoting their current single “Messed UP” and also airing some new material the band have written for their forthcoming album. Can’t wait for that one… Spring has arrived all be it a bit hesitantly but its here and all the bars, restaurants and holiday businesses are starting to gear up for what is hoped to be a good summer…..we at Heart have had a Spring Clean and launched our new summer schedules We have added another new presenter to the Heartfm line up – we are extremely pleased to welcome to the mic Mr Marbella himself Maurice Boland. Maurice has been an integral part of the scene on the coast for a number of years and brings with him a life time of experience in broadcasting. The Boland Show will air from 2 – 4pm every weekday and will be the same format as Maurice has been famed for – a 2 hour eclectic mix of interviews and chat. Much has been said in the press and behind closed curtains…..all we say is “it’s good to have you back”. New stuff on the market – first off I have had a couple of absolutely brilliant interviews recently…..Junior Giscombe, Tahnee and Paul Walsh Royseven. Royseven are a new band from Ireland who are causing quite a stir around the music business with an excellent new album and single. I managed to grab a chat with Paul Walsh in between TV interviews and he explained that they had been working hard perfecting their sound and hoped to be embarking on a UK and European tour very soon to promote the new album. Tahnee is one of the Scarletz, an excellent all girl Ska band who performed in Marbella last year and appeared live on Heart. I caught up with Tahnee in Marbella where she was taking a well deserved break from a hectic tour schedule.

Finally – have you heard the song that could be the new summer anthem “We No Speak Spaniardo”. The song has been recorded by actor and musician Ricky Tomlinson. I chatted with Ricky whilst he was at home in Liverpool, not only about the new single but his acting career on TV and the movies. We also found out a few interesting facts – did you know he is an excellent Banjo player, he was recently asked to stand as a MP for Liverpool and has donated one million pounds to Charity…..good luck with the single Amigo. Keep it Heart 88.5fm on the coast and 96.1fm inland – chat soon…. Lee

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel made it look so easy as he scored his second victory of the season in Malaysia. The German took the lead at the start, nursed his tyres through 3 pits stops, avoided using his problematic KERS from the 29th lap , yet was still 6.1s ahead of a charging Jenson Button in the McLaren with a lap to go. Button did the impossible by running 19 laps on a set of Pirelli's prime tyres where previously nobody had managed more than 16, Lewis Hamilton in the other McLaren had been in the fight all afternoon, once he had overtaken fast starting Nick Heidfeld's Renault in the first stops, but unlike his team mate he lost pace on the primes, fell behind Button after the third stops, and needed a fourth to make it to the flag in 7th Heidfeld beat Mark Webber's Red Bull to the final podium slot, after the KERS-less Australian fought back from a terrible opening lap. Behind them, Felipe Massa brought his Ferrari home 5th ahead of Fernando Alonso, Kamui Kobayashi mixed it with anyone and everyone all afternoon, including some wonderful side-by-side racing with Webber as confirmation that the DRS wing concept worked superbly here, and took 8th place for Sauber ahead of Michael Schumacher who muscled his way ahead of Paul di Resta's Force India. Once again the Scottish rookie beat team mate Adrian Sutil, as he maintained his great record of scoring points in both of his first Grand Pri’s. Nico Rosberg had a miserable 12th , ahead of the Toro Rossos of Sebastien Buemi, who beat team mate Jaime Alguersuari to 13th. Heikki Kovalainen just failed to catch the Spaniard by the flag, as Lotus beat Virgin and Timo Glock in the newer teams' race to complete the finishers.Vitaly Petrov had a big off which sent his Renault bouncing so high over a kerb that his car's steering column seemed damaged on landing, he hit an advertising hoarding but didn't hurt himself. China Lewis Hamilton scored a fabulous victory for McLaren in an excellent Chinese race, catching and passing Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel on the 52nd of the 56 laps as the reigning world champion's gamble on a two-stop strategy - and a 25-lap run on Pirelli's hard rubber - just failed to pay off.Behind them, Mark Webber drove a brilliant race from 18th to third, only 7 seconds behind Hamilton, after catching and despatching Michael Schumacher then Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, and Felipe Massa and Nico Rosberg and finally Jenson Button in the closing stages. It was an great race, that began with Button and Hamilton leading from Vettel, before Vettel repassed them as the first pit stops were made. He jumped Hamilton and leader Button when he initially drove into the Red Bull pit before frantically being waved through to McLaren next door! Such are the characteristics of the Pirellis that the form of races is not established until the final stages, by Lap 40 Vettel was out front, ahead of Massa with Rosberg third from Hamilton, Hamilton took Rosberg on Lap 42, Massa on 44, and then slashed a 3.7s deficit to Vettel before forcing his way by in Turn Seven on the 52nd lap. For a while it seemed that Button might follow suit, but Webber had the freshest tyres. As Button began to move in on Vettel, Webber was stalking him and dived by on the penultimate lap to make the podium after a superb effort. Rosberg was left 5th, ahead of Massa and Alonso, leaving Schumacher 8th. Renault's two-stop strategy didn't do the trick either, but Vitaly Petrov took 9th place from Paul di Resta on the 52nd lap, and Kamui Kobayashi pushed the Scottish rookie out of the points for the first time in his short Formula One career. Rubens Barrichello was 13th for Williams after a race spent dicing mainly with Heikki Kovalainen's Lotus, while Toro Rosso's promising afternoon evaporated right at the start as Jaime Alguersuari and Sebastien Buemi dropped back. The Spaniard became the race's sole retirement when he lost the righ-rear wheel after his first pit stop, while Buemi had to be satisfied with 14th.

Mums - How Wise are they?? Peter invited his mother for dinner, during the course of the meal; his mother couldn't help but notice how lovely Peter's flat mate, Joanne, was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two, and this only made her more curious. Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Peter and his flat mate than met the eye. Reading his mum's thoughts, Peter volunteered, 'I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Joanne and I are just flat mates'. About a week later, Joanne came to Peter saying, 'Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the frying pan, you don't suppose she took it do you?

'Well I doubt it, but I'll e-mail her just to be sure' said Peter. So he sat down and wrote: Dear Mum, I’m not saying that you’ did’ take the frying pan from my house. I’m not saying that you ‘did not ‘ but the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you came over for dinner Love Peter Several days later, Peter received an email from his mother which read: Dear Son, I’m not saying that you ‘do not’ sleep with Joanne and I’m not saying you ‘do’, but the fact remains that if she were sleeping in her own bed she would have found the frying pan by now Love Mum Lesson of the day, NEVER LIE TO YOUR MOTHER

The Nun & The Cabbie A cabbie picks up a Nun. She gets into the cab, and notices that the VERY handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring. He replies: 'I have a question to ask you but I don't want to offend you.' She answers, 'My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive.' 'Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me.' 'Well, let's see what we can do about that: 1, you have to be single and 2, you must be Catholic.'

The cab driver is very excited and says, 'Yes, I'm single and Catholic!' 'OK' the nun says. 'Pull into the next alley.' The nun fulfils his fantasy, with a kiss that would make a hooker blush. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying. 'My dear child,' says the nun, 'why are you crying?' 'Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish.' The nun says, 'That's OK. My name is Kevin and I'm going to a fancy dress party.' Golf Scam Just got scammed out of $25.
