SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE AND INITIAL CALL

Thank you

Thank you

[T]he Lord gave me an experience on the 24th day of December 2014, that I never dreamed of, never hoped to see . . . . That day I went out of the bedroom and I sat in the middle of the sitting room lying on the couch, and my feet was up on the chair and I went fast to sleep. And then I heard a thump on the top of the chair where my feet was resting and I awake and I saw a person this size, tall as those branches up there and the beauty of the clothing of that person, I cannot describe it. And I’ve never heard of such a thing before in my life. . . . [The Lord] gave me that vision. A open eye vision. I wasn’t sleeping. My eyes were wide open after I was awakened, yeah and before I could say or anything. I don’t understand it. It encourage[d] me to be more focused on my calling . . . . [A]s a young person, probably around eighteen or seventeen-and-a-half thereabouts, I was in a service one night at Zion Baptist Church on Shirley Street because that was the church fellowship I worship as a boy. I was connected to that so when I moved to Nassau in 1936 that’s where I went. And one night a preacher from Tennessee was preaching and at the end of his sermon he gave an invitation to anyone in the service who feel led to give their lives in service to preach the Gospel come forward and I looked around, I didn’t see anybody coming forward and so I decided well it’s an invitation to whosoever so I’m going forward. I went forward and the minister asked me what was my coming, what the purpose. I said I come as you indicated to dedicate my life to the Lord to preach the Gospel. And he prayed for me and that was the first vow I made to the Lord.
