“I search for themes from daily life. And I like using realistic ways to express the soul of painting.”

Taiwanese artist Chang Kuo-erh typically searches daily life for artistic themes. He likes realism as a regular mode of painting and is a full-time painter since graduating from the Tokyo Design College. He has won several awards, coming always in the top three position in The Republic of China’s international Art Association Exhibition, Da Dun Arts Exhibition, Taiwan National Oil Painting Competition, Mantou Yushan Fine Arts Exhibit and so on.

Chang is a very perceptive and strongly observant artist. He is a painter who specializes only in oil painting, excelling in impasto technique and likes the thick touch of oil-paint and the expressiveness that it affords him. He is a master in this medium and knows it is most suitable for the presentation of his superb images.

Most of his subjects are nature, as natural and as scenic, because he adores the color changes caused by each season. He also loves the vital life that nature reveals to him and experienced by him during the ongoing chain of his years. Seeking themes from daily life offers a realistic approach to express the very soul of each and every painting, and so he promises his many admirers to continue with these ideas and pursuits on his creative path.
