INTRODUCTION

There is something magical about crochet. You take some yarn, wave your hook around, and soon you have something to wear, use, display, or give as a gift. Crochet walks the line of practicality and creativity. It provides items that fulfill specific needs while remaining fun, therapeutic, and satisfying. If you need any more proof of the magic of crochet, consider that many hooks look similar to magic wands.

To showcase the charm of crochet, this collection combines several new and exclusive designs with the most widely popular crochet projects from previous Noro magazines and books. No more searching through various publications for that special crochet project. They're all right here! From simple, small projects like a slouchy hat or fingerless mitts to full-sized garments like extra-comfy pullovers with playful bobbles or eye-popping colors, these 25 patterns range in technique, style, and skill level, making for a collection perfect for every crocheter.

Of course, each project in this book uses one or more of Noro's luxurious yarns. You'll find solid, tonal, and selfstriping colorways, all with that undeniable Noro vibrance. With such variety in color story, yarn weight, and item type, stitching from project to project will show you the magic Noro's unparalleled yarns can bring to your handmade crafting adventures.

* GUIDELINES ONLY: The above reflect the most commonly used gauges and needle or hook sizes for specific yarn categories.

** Lace weight yarns are usually knitted or crocheted on larger needles and hooks to create lacy, openwork patterns. Accordingly, a gauge range is difficult to determine. Always follow the gauge stated in your pattern.

*** Steel crochet hooks are sized differently from regular hooks—the higher the number, the smaller the hook, which is the reverse of regular hook sizing
