Flag Football is the perfect introduction to “America’s Game ” Participants learn skills on both sides of the football - including the core components of passing, catching, de-flagging and defense - all presented in a fun and positive environment.

VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Camp Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled program. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving. This camp is designed for the beginning to intermediate player.

MINI HAWK CAMP (BASEBALL&SOCCER)

This multi-sport program was developed to give 4 to 7 year-olds a positive first step into athletics Sports are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with encouragement and fun. Through games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace

TRACK & FIELD CAMP

The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching and cool-down techniques are taught. Track and field events include javelin, discus, shot put, hurdles, long jump, triple jump and various running and relay events.

Junior Mad Scientists dive into the realms of the Chemical and Physical world in this crazy week of non-stop action – and Reaction! WACKY ROBOTS & WIDGETS

Whether your child loves to build things or destroy them, this week of camp includes lots of both! Junior Mad Science engineers design and build structures using simple tools and their imaginations Then the machine madness starts…children discover how different machines, both simple and complex, are used in our daily lives! Kids design simple machines using pulleys, wedges, screws and levers and have fun learning how catapults work! We use the skills we’ve learned to build a Mad Science robot that we can keep, all while learning the science of robotics!

Young biologists use all their senses when they explore the natural world around them. Have fun finding and magnifying nature’s smallest creatures, pour plaster casts of animal tracks, and make recycled paper! MY FIRST LAB

Learn about everything from Air Pressure to Zebras! This week of discovery introduces kids to all facets of science. Explore the science of the sea and the fascinating creatures that live there Campers become paleontologists by searching for fossils and participating in a mini dinosaur dig. We become bubbleologists as we learn about the science of bubbles!

During the LEGO® Robo Battles classes students create, program, and control robots designed to perform challenges such as the SumoBots, Jousting, and a Catapult Challenge. Students work in pairs using LEGO® Robotics and computers to learn principles of robotics, computer programming, and teamwork.

YIN YOGA - WEDNESDAYS

Yin Yoga is the type of Yoga that is mellow, slow, and focuses on long held stretches on the floor and standing It focuses on range-of-motion (ROM) on the joints of the body

In doing so, it energizes all the muscle groups and gives the joints the encouragement and ability to be fluid and flexible, enhancing mobility Perfect for inactive as well as active folks, as class members work at their own pace and their own ROM. 2023 CAMP SAN JOSÉ JR.

At Camp San Jose Jr., your child will participate in an unforgettable summer camp! We combine camp traditions with a wide variety of enrichment and educational activities. Children will have the opportunity to create cool art projects, play games and, sing funny songs while ensuring CDC safety measures. Camp San Jose Jr. includes skill-building, making new friendships, and much more! Campers need to bring water, lunch, and sunscreen each day. Each Camp San Jose Jr. session runs for one (1) week.

This program offers children between the ages of 3 to 5 years old an educational and recreational experience This program supports children's imaginative, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development The San José Recreation Preschool Program prepares students for kindergarten success in a safe and welcoming environment

KINDERPREP

This class prepares your child for kindergarten with age-appropriate activities, learning concepts, socialization skills, and fun! Your child will gain a basic understanding of shapes, colors, pre-phonics, literacy building (i e identifying letter sounds, writing the alphabet, and simple words), number recognition, and counting up to 30 The goal is to have fun, participate, and learn Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class Requirements for parent participation will vary by center

LITTLE LEARNERS

Children will be introduced to socialization, positive self-esteem, structured playtime, and simple learning concepts. Children will work on hand-eye coordination and motor skills while gaining independence through circle time, music, songs, stories, play, and arts & crafts. Food will be provided for cooking activities and may be provided for special events. Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted. All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class. Requirements for parent participation will vary by center.

LITTLE LEARNERS
