FUNDAMENTALS OF DRAWING

Ring in the New Year with a Young Rembrandts class for your elementary student Our budding artists will have the opportunity to flex their creative muscles as they take on fun, artistic challenges like our Jack Russell Terrier and Chinese New Year lessons in the month of January. The month of February brings a lot of fun and culture into the classroom as our students’ imaginations are whisked away to a masquerade or into the mind of master artist Salvador Dali And in the month of March, get ready for some dinosaur-sized excitement as your elementary student recreates the ferocious T-Rex Young Rembrandts style! ADVANCE PUBLIC SPEAKING & DEBATE SKILLS

Confident public speakers articulate themselves clearly, and the next level in articulating an opinion is to be able to debate it This course helps students structure their thoughts and express them confidently making them strong, and confident! Then advance their debate skills to voice their opinions on matters important to them as well as learn to listen to the other side The students become better listeners, learn note-taking strategies making them effective communicators With topics of their interests and encouraging them to use props, stories, jokes, quotes, and other visual aids, we make learning easy and exciting

Co-ed chess class is designed for students with no experience and provides for a strong foundation in the rules & strategies needed to play the game of chess Students of the class can also participate in training games with other participants. The co-ed chess class is designed for students who were in a previous starter's class or with some knowledge and teaches important opening concepts, recognition of tactical themes, calculation of material exchanges, and elementary endgame Students of the class can also participate in training games with other participants In addition to learning the fundamentals of chess, this class will promote the growth and development of skills in concentration, logic, decision-making, planning, and self-discipline CAMP provides a strong foundation in the rules & strategies needed to play the game of chess.

Futsal is a fun, fast-paced 5v5 soccer game, played indoors within the lines of a basketball court (no walls), using a small, size 3, lowbounce ball In this class players participate in fun educational games. Classes focus on increasing balance, coordination and fundamental futsal skills We utilize creative fun activities to help kids to cooperate in a group setting and build self esteem in our fun low-pressure environment

FUTSAL AGES 7-12

Futsal is a fun, fast-paced 5v5 soccer game, played indoors within the lines of a basketball court (no walls), using a small, size 3, lowbounce ball. Players will learn new skills & tricks every week from our professional coaching staff and have a great experience, whether they're the next Beckham or trying Futsal for the first time! Indoor shoes and shin guards are required.

Hit & Run Teeball gives children a fun, active and educational experience tailored to the abilities of their age group Our staff helps them learn how to catch without being scared of the ball, hit using our “Flex Hit” tool, run the bases and field grounders. Featuring structured simple activities, individual and team-building challenges along with small sided competitions to develop and engage small athletes

It's a bird! it's a plane! No, it's everything from the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights This hands-on program will let you learn all about aerodynamics and the world above us. Explore the basic principles of flight, build airplanes, test them in wind tunnels, ride a hovercraft and construct balloon copters Discover the mysteries of the galaxy, learn about celestial navigation, and take home a rocket that you have built yourself!

Welcome back to the alley! It's a strike! Come join us for our immensely popular bowling program, located at Bowlero San Jose (5420 Thornwood Drive). Join us on the lanes on Tuesdays from 4:30 - 6 P.M. Ages 11 and up are welcome. Come polish your game with the support of our therapeutic staff. Learn technique and etiquette, make new friends, and most importantly have fun! Register today, the lanes are going fast. Participants must be able to function in a 1:8 staff to participant ratio, independent with personal care needs or provide an attendant.

WHEELS ON FIRE - JUNIOR WHEELCHAIR SPORTS PROGRAM

We're back in action! Have you got game? Basketball, Disc Golf, Football, Bocce, Softball, Field Events You play it, we offer it! Wheels on Fire is a sports team designed for athletes with physical disabilities who enjoy a variety of sports No wheelchair, no problem. We have extra chairs for use during program. Athletes of all abilities are welcome. The team practices basic sports skills, team cooperation and rules of competitive play. This program focuses on exposure to a variety of wheelchair sports with the potential for competitive skill development. We may also engage in special activities such as holiday themed events or field trips. Snacks may be provided. Pre registration is highly encouraged or the program may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Participants must be able to participate in a 1:5 staff to participant ratio and be independent with personal care needs or provide an attendant. We're back! It's time for us to go back in the community. Join us for a night on the town! This social club utilizes community activities which are selected by the group to improve socialization, leisure awareness and independent living skills. Try new things and explore your community with the support and encouragement of friendly, knowledgeable staff.

The first night of program will be held at the Camden Community Center. Location thereafter varies based on participants chosen activities. Members must be able to participate within a 1:6 staff to participant ratio and be independent with their personal care needs. Please note: registration fee covers staffing costs only. At Camp San Jose your child will participate in an unforgettable summer day camp experience combining summer camp traditions with enrichment and educational activities. Children will play crazy fun games, sports, create cool arts and crafts projects, sing funny songs, and embark on a weekly field trip. Activities incorporate educational features disguised in fun and entertaining activities and projects. Price includes a low leader to child ratio of 1:10, field trips, a Camp San Jose shirt, skill building, new friendships, disguised learning and much more!

*Families opting not to participate in field trips are responsible for finding alternative care for their child(ren) not attending the trip. The City will not provide a prorated refund for those that elect not to participate, nor will onsite care be available. Campers need to bring water, lunch* and sunscreen each day.
