Spring Outdoor Adventure Camp Skyhawks Beach Volleyball

Go on a fun adventure with us this spring at Almaden Lake Park! Campers will enjoy an outdoor recreation experience filled with science & nature exploration! Campers will get to experience a variety of activities including outdoor games, learning about nature & wildlife, creating arts & crafts, participating in nature hikes, all while making new friends. Camp participants must bring their own cold lunch, snacks, drinks, water bottles, and wear comfortable closed-toed shoes, and sunscreen every day. Camp will be located at Almaden Lake Park

Athletes will learn all the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment Participants should wear appropriate clothing and running shoes; bring protective gloves, a helmet with full mask (or goggles) and lacrosse stick Bring snacks, water bottle and sunscreen. Each day campers learn about nature & wildlife, grow & harvest vegetables, play games, create arts & crafts, and, best of all, will get to help take care of Emma's resident animals! Camp participants must bring their own cold lunch, snacks, drinks, water bottles, and wear comfortable shoes, face mask*, and sunscreen every day Camp will be located at Emma Prusch Farm Park, and children will be assigned to a smaller group at specific sites within the park.

Kids will have the opportunity to assist park staff in feeding breakfast to the goats, rabbits, sheep and miniature pigs.

This program is a wonderful exploration for two and three year olds. This class encourages community seniors to become Happy Hollow Ambassadors as they socialize, exercise, and learn at their new “wild hangout”.

From the rainforests of South America to the savannahs of Africa, travel to different continents each day! We will explore a variety of habitats and animals found around the world!

Theme- Bug & Reptile Round-up

Learn the tools, tests & time it takes to care for the zoo animals

Theme- Keepers

Be a zookeeper for a week as we explore exhibits, tour behind-the-scenes, and roll up our sleeves as we create animal enrichment and help care for the zoo animals

Theme- Creative Critters

Combine your love of animals with a passion for creativity and join us for this unique camp exploring both We will learn about animals, different artistic techniques, and what happens when the two collide!

Theme- Outdoor Rangers

We are taking our animal explorations outside to examine local nature and wildlife We will hike through the trees and become environmental scientists as we collect specimens, run experiments, and draw conclusions from our deductive observations Campers will collect outdoor safety skills including wildlife detection, navigation, and how to prepare for adventure!

Co-ed Chess class is designed for students with no experience and provides for a strong foundation in the rules & strategies needed to play the game of chess Students of the class can also participate in training games with other participants. In addition to learning the fundamentals of chess, this class will promote the growth and development of skills in concentration, logic, decision making, planning, and self-discipline.

Public Speaking-Confident Speakers & Writers

Being able to communicate effectively and confidently has immeasurable benefits in students’ professional and personal lives Bring out confidence in your children! This class is filled with fun activities teaching young children the life-long skills. They learn how to stand tall and speak confidently in front of a group They begin to understand the concepts and importance of maintaining eye contact, good posture, volume, and expressions This class helps them give structure to their thoughts improving their writing skills Shy as well as talkative one’s alike benefit from this class as we do fun activities including tongue-twister challenges, storytelling, poem recitals and presentations.
