SLIFER DENVER REPORT / DECEMBER 2015 TEN QUESTIONS / ONE BROKER

FEATURED LISTING

SUSAN CHONG Favorite hot-spot in Denver right now… Wow, there are so many but if I had to pick one, Union Station. It is a marvel and with the East West/Slifer connection, I am very proud of it and take every opportunity to give tours to everyone I meet! One of your most memorable deals in real estate… Off the top of my head, it would be the west corner penthouse at Spire. It was our first top-floor sale and our first $1M+ sale. The buyers are very sweet and they are my friends to this day! What gives you joy… Inspiring others in ways that surprise me. And seeing people I know in random places.

SPIRE @ 14 // Price reduced 2 bed / 2 bath / 2 parking / $675,000 MLS #5680479 Offered by Susan Chong SUSAN@DENVERCHONG.COM

BAR FAUSTO

3126 LARIMER STREET All the buzz is on Bar Fausto. Maybe it is because Populist's Jonathan Power and Huckleberry Roasters' Koan Goedman are behind this menu? You decide. Order an Old Fashioned, their $6 daily bruschetta and whatever else catches your fancy on the Salumi menu. The space is one to be admired, details by Denver’s own Fin Art Co. Salute! .

CART DRIVER

2170 S JOSEPHINE A hotel in 2017? No one would have guessed this but the father and son duo of Zeppelin Development. This innovative team has been developing and creating projects in urban hoods for the past forty years and we can all say in complete gratitude how stoked we are that they brought the Source to life and the vibe of the neighborhood as a whole. There is new reason to keep hitting up this district, before we know it folks from LA will be moving here. DENVERINFILL.COM

2500 LARIMER STREET Cozy, intimate space greets you at the front door of this 640 square foot space made of shipping containers. It’s as if you have been transported to the Southern side of Italy for a minute. Fresh osyters are a must every visit. PS Thursday’s around 5pm is the quiet hour to grab a seat and feast with your friends.

LOCAL + GIVE

GROWHAUS 47TH AND YORK STREET Being a local, the Grow Haus is one to know about, be a part of and to tell on. Situated on the border of RiNo in Elyria-Swansea neighborhood, this non-profit is changing the surrounding communities for the better through food production, food distribution and food education. “Our vision is to catalyze a neighborhood-based food system in our community that is healthy, equitable, and resident-driven.” Check out these awesome opportunities at The Grow Haus to give back (locally) this joyful season. Cosechando Salud Movil Deliveries (every Monday 11am-1pm) Help with the mobile portion of our weekly Cosechando Salud (Harvesting Health) free food pantry. CREMA COFFEE HOUSE

CHOW

3053 BRIGHTON BLVD

2862 LARIMER STREET The coffee shop that continually remains the top hangout to have a meeting, meet a good friend in the morning to catch up or run into co-workers. It’s the place to be. Maybe because you can order pressed beet juice, a Cortado and a homemade breakfast burrito in one visit? The feeling of running into an old friend or being introduced to someone new, there’s a vibe in the air here and we hope it stays.

Is Tengu still the sexy minimalist ramen shop described by Eater Denver’s Andrea Zeppelin? We say so. Still somewhat a mystery to locals, from the homemade noodle bowls to the conspicuous design. You can’t just come here once and think you’ve got it all figured out. On your next visit find the hidden stairway to the boiler room. Don’t get lost in this sleek space, and make room for hot sake.

500 LARIMER STREET

Since our exclusive interview with the cool masterminds behind this tasty concept in spring of 2015 a lot has happened, to say the least. Mario Esparza the food genius and his partner in crime, Andy Mason who makes all branding and creative decisions, have set their second year in business on a high note. For those of you who have yet to fall in love with the best small-batch artisan nut butters made in Colorado, go to pblovecom.com and make your first order now. PB Love’s retail shop called the “Nuthouse” is now open! It is situated in the heart of RiNo, upstairs in the shipping containers where the ever so popular eatery, Work & Class calls home. Our favorite is the Cinnamon Almond. Imagine a bite with Colorado honey, organic extra virgin coconut oil, molasses, sea salt, Vietnamese cinnamon, organic unrefined coconut sugar and stone ground almonds…The snack ideas are endless.
