THE FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO DO THIS MONTH
THE ROUND-UP!
AMY CESARIO IN TEN QUESTIONS / ONE BROKER Most exciting part about being a broker at Slifer Denver… We have a small but mighty team of brokers who are all so completely different. Our team expands beyond the brokers to the staff and partners who help keep us moving in the right direction, whether it is with our clients, our marketing or social events. I love our energy, our different opinions and vast knowledge and experiences in life and in real estate. We hear you are part of a Vespa Club … Tell us more I had my Vespa for about a month and I decided to ride withthe largest group of Scooter riders in Denver (200+ riders). At that ride I met a few other guys who had Vespas and decided we would start our own “gang”. You see, we love coffee, wine, Italian beer and we like short rides discovering different things around Denver. We’ve done rides discovering new and old Public Art, new coffee shops, a southern ride over the Cherry Creek Dam road, a trip through 6 new coffee shops, several large parks, we’ve talked about cruising a few architecturally interesting neighborhoods. We all take turns being the lead. We aren’t serious long riders, we take breaks, we stop to take photos, we stop to eat, drink or whatever else we decide to do along the way to have fun. To be a part of the gang you must own a Vespa, be fun and like to try new things especially if they are Italian. The store that everyone was talking about and still is, enter Trader Joes. Once a small conveinence store dating back to the 1950s in Pasandena, California it’s now the trendy go-to grocery store with crazy good deals. Hilltop neighbors are the lucky ones, this store has a wine and spirits shop. If you haven’t been to a Colorado location checkout the hawaiian shirt vibes that became a tradition way back when in Cali.

9TH AND COLORADO REDEVELOPMENT SHEARS ADKINS ROCKMORE ARCHITECTS + CONTINUUM PARTNERS
Continuum Partners is at it again, the elite team behind the redevelopment of Denver’s Union Station; but this time at Ninth Avenue and Colorado Blvd. The vision for this 26-acre property is to create a community with townhomes, apartments, a walkable retail space that will connect the existing neighborhood together. Imagine a lovely pedestrian plaza. “When the project is completed, according to Continuum’s traffic study it will generate 17,180 daily vehicle trips. That compares to the 27,390 trips the property generated when it was the CU Health Sciences Center. “There will be a big reduction on the morning rush to the site,” Cannon said. “It’s a more ebb and flow throughout the day. Overall, there will be nearly 40 percent, less traffic than what was previously.” – Frank Cannon, University Of Colorado Newsroom 9THANDCOLORADO.COM

CRANMER PARK
4501 E 1ST AVE
A park known for it’s historical and astronomical sculpture. This sundial sets perpendicular so it is parallel with the equator. As for the kids in Hilltop they know it as just another climbing wall to play on after school. A bike ride to this lovely park is worth the mountain view. DENVERGOV.ORG
