You’ve heard of the Antiques Roadshow, now get ready for the

Antiques Library Show on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Across from RiteAid at ShoppingTown Mall Allan Storing of the Syracuse Antique Exchange will be on hand to appraise your treasures. 1 item verbally appraised for $3.00 or 2 items verbally appraised for $5.00. First come, first served.

Appraisal fee on the day of this event is your admission and supports the Friends of the DeWitt Community Library. Light refreshments served. Please note: The owner is responsible for any loss or damage to items brought for appraisal.

The DeWitt Community Library is located in Shoppingtown Mall.

Photos of large or fragile items may be brought instead.

Honor a Special Person on Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. Send a tribute card to a friend or family member and help support the DeWitt Community Library and the Friends of the DeWitt Community Library.

Each tribute card is a minimum donation of $5.00. A donation of $25.00 buys a tribute card and a book plate in honor of the recipient will be placed in a new library book.

DCL Friends Annual Tea and Fundraiser Coming Saturday, May 18, 2013 From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM At the DeWitt Community Library Jason Newton will talk about the history of brewing in Syracuse and the return to hometown brewing. Jason is a doctoral student in American History at Syracuse University and a brewer himself. Refreshments will include homemade root beer provided by DCL Trustee, Joanne Chamberlain, baked goods by the DCL Friends, and other non-alcoholic surprises.

The DCL Friends recently purchased video equipment to be used for future programs and the Library’s memory book and proposed teen video projects.
