It’s a new type of endurance, and the spot in Chantilly where the ride is organized perfectly suits this type of race because it has direct access to the tracks. It is the most endowed race in France and it is part of a worldwide Equestrian
Endurance Circuit made of 3 high standard races: Bahrain - King’s Cup Endurance (17th of February), Windsor - Royal Windsor Endurance (11th of May) and Chantilly - Prestige Cup Endurance (8th of July).

How did you come up with the idea of creating the Prestige Cup?
What makes the Prestige Cup different from the other rides?
At the very beginning, something like 20 years ago, Nicholas Wahlen was organizing the first ride in Compiègne, a very prestigious and loved ride. But when he stopped organizing it many international riders really missed the fact of not being able to attend such a great event and started requesting a new ride in a venue close to Paris for the summertime, because this location in the North of Paris, is popular for its flat and good quality tracks. That’s why we have come up with the idea of organizing a new event.
Considering that Endurance Riding is going through hard times with the media, our objective is to show world countries and organizations that it is possible to organize an endurance ride respecting three committments: Eco-responsibility: respect of the environment and reduction of “environmental impact”. Fairness: preserve sport integrity with full respect of the FEI rules. Economy: optimize costs, stimulate the endurance horse market and promote a positive image of endurance riding worldwide.

Tell us something about the prizemoney... First of all we would like the rider to have an economic return. All the registration fees or entries will be given back to the rider as prizemoney. At present we are the only organizers to do that, without keeping anything for the organization.
grateful to him. We have a very strong partnership with Gaston Mercier, a famous French saddle producer, who is making an exclusive saddle the Florac 2.0 that will be given to the first three riders. Other local partners are also supporting us: the city of Chantilly, the Chantilly Polo Club which is the venue where we organize the ride, the Region, the Domaine of Chantilly and the surrounding cities.
Who are your main sponsors and partners? Who can attend the ride? We are supported by H.H. Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, he is glad to support this event because he wants to support this new concept of Endurance in Europe, in France and where clear endurance is practised. We are very

The ride is open to everybody. We really do hope that many people will come to experience this type of endurance. We are also setting up a village for kids and families with a lot of entertainment.
