St. Martin's 6 - Sacred Heart 18

The Saints' line blocked well at the start, but the heat and a heavy Sacred Heart.ream proved too much for the under-manned Saints in the latter part of the game.

St. Martin's 0 - St. Bernard 32

In spite of spirited play throughout the contest, the plucky Saints succumbed to the combination of adverse weather conditions and a powerful St. Bernard team.

St.

Martin's 54 - St. Charles 13

In this game the Saints connected on twenty passes for four touchdowns. They combined this deadly aerial attack with a swift ground game to crush the hapless Comets.

St. Martin's 6 - Country Day 27

The over-confident Saints were taken to the cleaners by a hustling Cajun team. The only high spot for the Saints' rooters was a touchdown drive in the last period.

St. Martin's 13 - Newman 12

The Saints showed better conditioning and a preview of their potent aerial game, but were slow and sluggish on the ground as they squeaked past Newman.

St. Martin's 20 -

Chalmette

12

In their fourth outing, the Saints showed a powerful offens i ve team, but there was still room for improvement on defense. They completely outclassed the bigger Cha lmette e !even as they repeatedly marched through their line.

St. Martin's 0 -

Holy Name 41

The Saints held the State Champs to thirteen points in the first half but tired in the second half and allowed the Blue Knights to run up the score.

St. Martin's 14 - Ridgewood 20

Favored Ridgewood came from behind in the last period to defeat the Saints in their homecoming game. It was a hard-fought contest , marked by plenty of spirit and action.

The Dads I Club, assisted by the Mothers I Club, each year invites an outstanding educator or religious leader, to counsel with the teaching staff and address an open meeting for parents and friends of the School. This year we were indeed fortunate to have with us Dr. Paul Andrew Witty, psychologist, educator, author and lecturer. Since 1930, except for military leave 1942-44, he has served as Professor of education and Director of Psycho-Educational Clinic at Northwestern University.
