Three things you like about yourself and why. I like my personality. I have an outgoing kind of personality and can get along with everyone. My body. I always get compliments about how I look. The things I have been able to accomplish. Things I set out to do I did and I have many more I am about to pursue. Your OMG moment? When I found out I was pregnant… Ha, ha, ha… No seriously, being nominated as a best male fashion model at the Caribbean Fashion Awards. I did not win but I was in the top four. Being nominated and recognised for my work was great. Stylist

First time....
I fall too quickly
I’m a guy. My girlfriend and I have made plans. I’m a virgin, she’s not. And while I’m fully willing to give such a huge part of myself to her, I’m scared. I’m very uncomfortable with my body; I have multiple insecurities about how it could go and things that could go wrong, and I’m afraid I’m going to hurt her. I want this next step in our relationship, but I’m so nervous about it. I told her, and she thinks I’m just comparing myself to her ex and not to worry about it, but I don’t care about her ex. I’m just nervous because I’m so inexperienced and have no clue what I’ll be doing. I had to let it out...
I fall for girls too quickly whenever they show they care and they are attractive. I fall for them and now I actually really like someone I’m fighting for her but we both said we love each other and it’s true. I really do like her. I could go on forever about how I feel when I see her but someone else likes her and has liked her for longer and she doesn’t want to hurt him. I am fighting for her and to show I really care and she knows he doesn’t care like I do. She said that herself. But what do I do? Keep fighting or give up?
I still think about you My life has only gotten better since we stopped talking but I still think about her every day. I stalk her online on a regular basis. I know she stalks me too, but not like I do. What’s f..ked up is that I recognise that being in each other’s lives would be to our detriment (she may cheat, I would be stuck loving someone I can’t have) but I won’t stop. Knowing she’s online on Twitter or seeing her on What’s App makes me feel like she’s there. On the days she deactivates her accounts (something she does often, she’s that type of person) I feel a dark void. I’m not really sure where this is going.
OMG!
You know those plastic fasteners that come on clothes? I save them. Q-tips be damned. I LOVE scratching my ears with them. I have gone clothes shopping, just to get more. As for my eyelids? My God, man. I’m going to wind up deaf and blind, but it’s the best thing ever. I have to be careful in the office when I indulge in this weirdness, because I make noises that are border-line orgasmic. I use all kinds of weird stuff – dried cherry stems, rolledup receipts... Thankfully, I haven’t done anything bad to my eyes, but I went too far in my ear once and almost punctured my eardrum. Slowed me down, but didn’t stop me. Doing it right now…
I am a serial cheater
I have cheated on every boyfriend I’ve ever had, and I don’t know how to stop. I probably have some internalised issues and this is one way of dealing with them, but I don’t know how to stop doing it. I never tell, never confess. I have exes that I cheated on multiple times with multiple partners who don’t know to this day. I’m falling pretty hard for someone right now, and we’re not in a relationship, but since we started talking a month ago, I had sex with two other guys. I’ve also had sex with the guy in question, and have not told him about the other two, which were one-time-things. I want to get more serious with him, and possibly make a commitment, but I worry that I’ll cheat. I don’t want to do this to him, and I already feel awful for what I’ve done so far. I think I might love him.
I don’t kill spiders I don’t kill spiders in my house because somewhere, sometime I still think I can become Spiderwoman

How to Spring Clean
Your Sex Life
Now is a great time to clean the cobwebs out of your sex life! Here’s how to do it. STEP 1- Allergy-proof your bedroom
Allergy-proof your bedroom: Millions of people are allergic to pollen at this time of the year, and 83 per cent of them say their condition has adversely affected their sex life. Keep the bedroom windows shut, dry all bedding indoors, and shower before bedtime so you don’t bring pollen into the boudoir.
STEP 2 Buy new underwear
Spring clean your underwear and nightwear drawers – both his and hers – and replace any stained, worn-out, or just plain ugly items with a few sexy new pieces.
STEP 3 Feng shui your bedroom
Use feng shui – the ancient Chinese philosophy of creating harmony with the universe through objects – to spring clean your sex life: Angle the bed so that you and your lover face the door when you’re sitting up; wrap the legs of your bed in red; and clear the area beneath your bed of any dirt or clutter.
Tip – If it’s not possible for the bed to face the door, position a mirror so you can see the door from the bed.
STEP 4 Leave your electronics at the door
Banish phones and other electronic devices from the bedroom. Because our brains have become conditioned to react to the sound of our wireless devices, sex experts say that even if you don’t check them, they’re bound to be a distraction.
STEP 5 Rearrange the pillows
Experiment with putting pillows of different sizes, shapes, and firmness under different parts of your body during sex to make old positions feel new.
STEP 6 Try a little S&M
Introduce some mild sadomasochism to your sex life, in the form of spanking. One study found it increased feelings of closeness in couples who tried it. Spring cleaning never felt so good!
How to Have
Hotter Sex Sex life gone from sizzling to so-so? Raise the temperature with these passion tips, pleasure tricks, and lusty adventures.
STEP 1- Squeeze in quickies
Squeeze in a quickie whenever and wherever the mood strikes. The spontaneity, time constraint, and – in some cases – fear of getting caught, can help make sex hotter. Tip – Save the candlelight dinners for date night, not sex night. Downing cocktails and digesting a big meal don’t foster hot sex.
STEP 2 - Suck a peppermint
Get your mouth minty fresh with a sip of peppermint schnapps or tea, or by chewing on a piece of peppermint gum or candy. Then kiss one of your partner’s erogenous zones and gently blow on the spot. The combination of the peppermint and the air creates a cool sensation that heightens arousal.
STEP 3 - Find the A-spot
Forget the G-spot. Instead, look for the A-spot, supposedly located a bit higher up in the vagina from where the G-spot is said to be located. Stimulating this point may increase pleasure for some women, which will make sex hotter their partners, too.
Tip – If she likes your cologne, spray a little of it on the sheets to increase her arousal. STEP 4 - Be specific
Whisper about specific details of your partner’s body that you find irresistible. It’s much more stimulating than hearing a generic comment that could be applied to anyone.
STEP 5 - Mute a porn movie
Watch a porn movie on mute. You’ll be stimulated – and perhaps inspired – by the action without being distracted by the corny plot and dialogue.
STEP 6 - Abstain from penetration
Tell your lover you want to do everything in bed but penetration. Knowing you can’t go there will make you both want it more – and force you to get creative.

HOW
TO’S
Waking Your Hand Up
When It Falls Asleep After your hand has been at rest in a compressed position, it may become numb or fall asleep. WARNING – If you experience numbness and tingling shortly after a head, neck, or back injury, go to the hospital or call the EHS. STEP 1 - Wait for a minute or two
Relieve the compression on your hand and wait for a minute or two. In most cases feeling will return, often with a tingling or pins-andneedles sensation. Temporary pressure on the nerves in your hand causes it to fall asleep.
STEP 2 - Shake it
Shake your hand and count to five. Do this three times. It will encourage circulation and nerve decompression.
STEP 3 - Reach for the sky
Reach your arm or arms skyward. Hold and count to five. A few repetitions should loosen pinched or compressed nerves.
STEP 4 - Rock your head
Rock your head from side to side. A sleeping hand can be the result of the compression of a bundle of nerves in your neck. Loosening your neck muscles can relieve the pressure.
STEP 5 - Shrug your shoulders
Raise and lower your shoulders. Hold the position for a few seconds. A couple of repetitions of this will loosen nerves in your neck. Be careful not to injure your hand when it is asleep. The decrease in feeling may make it more prone to accidental injury.
STEP 6 - Avoid nerve compression
Prevent your hand from falling asleep in the future by avoiding placing it in a position where the nerves become compressed.
STEP 7 - See your doctor if the condition persists
Consult your doctor if numbness and tingling in your hand persist. You may have a more serious medical condition.
How to Talk to Anyone
Anyone can become a smooth talker; it just takes a little practice. STEP 1 - Be well-informed
Begin every day with a quick review of the news so you’re never stuck for a conversation starter.
STEP 2 - Find an opener
If you prefer a more personal approach, quickly scan a person’s outfit for something you can use to initiate a conversation.
STEP 3 - Start with a smile
Before you say a word, give them a special smile: Make eye contact with the person, wait a second, and then slowly let a smile spread across your face. Research shows this little trick immediately charms people.
Tip – Make your opening line a question that can’t be answered with a simple “yes” or “no”. STEP 4 - Really listen
Listen for casual asides; people often make references to topics they love. Prove you’re really listening by remarking on something they just said.
Tip – Make sure to say “you” more than “I” during the chat.
STEP 5 - Don’t seem overeager
Resist the urge to yelp “Me, too!” or agree with everything the person says. It will make you seem needy and insincere.
STEP 6 - Do some talking
Don’t turn the encounter into an interrogation. Though you want to encourage the other person to talk about themselves, you need to contribute to the dialogue, too.
Tip – Steer clear of topics you’re overly passionate about; you run the risk of monopolising the conversation or lecturing. STEP 7 - Don’t overstay your welcome
If you realise the other person isn’t saying much, tell them you’ve enjoyed talking to them and move on.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream Reality, time and love are all subject to change and transformation as three worlds magically converge into one in the Trinidad Theatre Workshop’s dramatic, innovative re-imagination of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The play’s director, Timmia Hearn Feldman, promises, “This is A Midsummer Night’s Dream as you’ve never seen it before. Seven actors take on twenty roles in this exploration of the bacchanalian celebrations and rights of ancient Greece as seen through the eyes of contemporary Trinidad Carnival and archetype.”
Set in contemporary Trinidad and Tobago, TTW’s version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will draw on the traditions of the Jab Jab and Jab Molassie to reinterpret the creatures of the woods inhabiting the play. The play, considered one of the greatest farces ever written, explores that line between grotesque and beautiful, tragic and comedic: it is as bitter as it is sweet. The play stars seven actors: Nickolai Salcedo, Afi Ford-Hopson, Kearn Samuel, Arnold Goindhan, Tishanna Williams, Soler Phillips and Sindy Nurse playing an astounding twenty roles among them. Hearn Feldman noted, “As these seven actors work themselves through so many characters, we begin to ask the question of where and who we really are as a people and as society.” The TTW is also engaging the services of technical designers outside of the theatre practice to create innovative costumes, set and lighting designs. Photographer Arnaldo James is creating the Set/Overall Visual; while costumes will be created
by Island People mas designer, Jean-Paul Richardson and jeweller Jade Drakes. Artist Brianna McCarthy has created an iconic central mask for the character of Puck; while Megan Gill and Dominic Andrews team up to produce the sound design, composing an original score. Lighting will be created by veteran lighting designer Curtis Bachan and the graphic design produced by Patrick Rasoanaivo. A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be presented at the Trinidad Theatre Workshop’s home at 23 Jerningham Avenue, Belmont from April 18, 19, 20 at 8 pm, April 21 at 6 pm; and will continue on April 21, 25, 26 and 27 at 8 pm, and closing night will be April 28 at 6 pm. Tickets are $150 for one, $200 for two. Secondary school students with valid ID can purchase $50 tickets. Tickets are on sale at TTW. For more information, please contact the TTW at 624-8502, trinidadtheatre@gmail.com; visit their website at www.trinidadtheatreworkshop.com, Like them on Facebook, or follow them on Twitter: @trinidadtheatre.
New Music from
Natia Daniel Natia Daniel, one of the freshest singer-songwriters to hit the UK soca scene, has released her second groovy track of 2013 titled J’ouvert Morning. This is Natia’s first riddim release and what better way to start than to feature on top UK soca producer SocaChild’s latest Palm Tree Riddim. It is well known that the Caribbean tradition of J’ouvert Morning marks the official fiery start of carnival celebrations every year. J’ouvert Morning is full of excitement, fun and frolicking in which everyone young and old alike come together in a spirit of freedom, dancing and singing in the streets from before dawn till after sunrise and this concept is reflected throughout the song. The inspiration for this track arose whilst Natia was thinking
back on her own experiencesof J’ouvert Morning both in the Caribbean and in the UK and in her own words, she explains that “it is about enjoying ourselves, being carefree, letting go of any negativity and immersing ourselves in nothing but positive happy vibes”. It is this same feeling that she sets out to share with her listeners. With her strong smooth harmonies and catchy vibrant lyrics, Natia leads a tripping style song to kickstart this year’s UK carnival season and get folks in that feelgood mood. Top London radio station Choice FM was the first to air J’ouvert Morning on Sunday 31st March 2013 on Martin Jay’s Caribbean Affair Soca Show.

For almost seven years she has been part of our daily lives, so team OMG was excited that Samantha John, anchor of the TV6 evening news and radio host at Star 94.7FM, accepted our invitation, taking time out from her very busy schedule to sit down and have a chat with us. I think people see you every night, but do we know you? Who is Samantha John? Hmmm, I don’t know (laugh). Maybe I’m a workaholic? I spend so much time working between TV, radio, my husband and we have our own business – I also do broadcast training. I love what I’m doing, but it can be really overwhelming at times. Do strangers stop you and talk to you as if they know you? Yes! They do, especially at the grocery. People would stop me and ask me about what was in the news, they would talk about my outfits or something I said on the radio. Children recognise me instantly and would nag their mothers to come over and say hi. It’s nice, I enjoy it. My teenage son on the other hand says, “why does everyone have to stare at you so, all the time?” So you have a son and he is a teenager? You don’t look like a mommy? Yes I am a mommy. He’ll be 14 soon. He is a well behaved, very mature gentleman for his age. He still plays a lot of video games and tries not to do too much at home. In the past I felt guilty because I was so busy working and did not have a lot of time to play with him, because I would come home tired and have to get up early to go to work the next day. But I think he understands the sacrifices we had to make and will appreciate it more as he grows older. Your television career started at TV6? No. Actually I started at Synergy TV, doing their hourly entertainment news. They had no equipment at the time so I created my own teleprompter, using Power Point and a laptop. I would tap my leg and the cameraman would change the slide for me. Then I got a wireless mouse and we were really going high tech at that point… I could change my slides myself. So when I went to the auditions at TV6 and they had a real prompter, I said oh my gosh, this is going to be a breeze, because I did not have to create the slides or operate the teleprompter. They had a teleprompter operator. It was like a piece of cake. I was super relaxed. I was like this is a real TV station, ha, ha, ha.
What high school did you go to? I went to Bishop Anstey, Port of Spain. I don’t know why but most people think because I read the news that I am from Convent. I don’t know if they think Convent has a better breed of girls or something, but Bishop’s has just as many successful girls. I want everybody to know that Bishop’s produces first class females, OK? We are on par! Was it hard for you to get into the broadcasting field? I auditioned at Trinidad Broadcasting Company about four to seven times in a two-year period. Usually they record you and tell you thanks for coming. They label the tape and put it away and you hear nothing. But there was this guy there who said I reminded him of his daughter. He decided to give me a few pointers. He told me to keep trying. I wanted to work on radio 95.1FM, but he said “although you want to work on 95 there might be an opening on AM. You should take that to get on the air and get the practice.” I said, “what, they still have AM?” He said, “take the opportunity, you will be in the building and in a better position to move up once the opening in FM comes up”. So I did get the call and took the AM job. Twenty-something girls came and only three stayed when they heard what the offer was, because you would get work when someone did not come out, very irregular. I was able to take it because I was still at home and did not have too many responsibilities at the time. So I became the emergency girl. The shift would start at 4 and they would call me at 10 past 4 to come down. I would rush down the road and just make myself available whenever they needed. I did that for a few months and then a morning spot opened on Radio 95 and I got the job and did that for two years. The money was not great, but I was doing what I loved. At what age did you know you wanted to be in broadcasting? My grandmother had this old tape recorder and when I was about eight and when we went to visit we would take the tape recorder, me and my brother, and do our own little news reports, sing jingles and do radio shows. My grandmother still has those tapes and she told me it was no surprise that this is what I would be doing, because it is what I always did. How has being a broadcaster changed you? When I started I was very young. I think I grew up with the nation watching me getting better as a news anchor. I also liked dressing very trendy and I was very outgoing, but the job required me to be more mature and very responsible in the way I dressed and carried myself, not only on-air but in my life also. That was very hard to come to terms with. I questioned it and wanted to be me. But as I reflected on my responsibility to the profession that I love, I was not only representing myself but the whole brand, and a group of hard working
OMG Magazine | Thursday 11 April, 2013 • PAGE 19
Photography and interview | Stephen Doobal journalists, cameramen, technical crew and there is a large group of people who I love working with and who I represent in a way, so I now embrace what this job requires of me and I am very comfortable with it. What do you do when you have down time? I love a beach that’s quiet, no music pumping in the background. I love Barbados, Antigua, Tobago. I am back in the gym and I am now extending myself, so I did my first 10K two Sundays ago, at least I finished and I was not last! I am training for Fusion right now. Many people in my family have been ill with various things, so I am trying to take care of my health as best as I can. From what I noticed if most of them took better care of themselves, many of the illnesses could have been avoided. So I am trying to take in front. What does Sammy Jo’s future look like? Work wise? Being an anchor on CNN or BBC! You have to dream big… ha, ha, ha. I would love to expand our studio and the training I do and incorporate TV presenting courses, doing more creative projects and creating content. I am a good behind-the-scenes producer and do not mind working with and moulding new talent. What is your OMG moment? I have so many… but, my most recent OMG moment was Good Friday. You know I love the beach, so someone we know organised this private beach lime off Maracas, but we would have to take a boat, so I am thinking like a little down-the-islands kind of feel. When we arrived at Maracas, they said, “you will go with this fisherman here”, so we said “what?” but we reluctantly went. That day the sea was really rough and this fisherman decided he wanted to go really hard over the very heavy waves. We were crashing into the waves so hard, the boat almost flipped over many times. We all do stupid things and getting into that situation, knowing better, was one of my stupid things. Thank God we reached safely, but it could have ended really, really badly, that entire situation I put myself in... I was like OMG, never again!

Nathan Regis 20, Footballer, Arima Nathan cuts a tall, strong figure who is calm, cool and very focused on his passion – football. He has been playing football for Trinity College East, Trincity, for the past seven years and is now in Upper Sixth Form there. For the past year he has been the captain of the team and says while they have not won the trophy yet they are one of the top competitors in the league. He says he is a very versatile player and can play in any position. Nathan says his father started him in football from the moment he started walking. He would go out with his dad and they would train together. This went on for many years. Unfortunately Nathan’s father passed away in 2004 when he was just 12 years old. The young man has dedicated his dreams, triumphs and continuing passion for football to the memory of his dad. He has two brothers, one younger and the other older, and his mom is now a single parent working really hard to take care of her family. Besides being in Upper Six at Trinity College Nathan is part of a scholarship programme and part of the footballing staff at Trinity College. He is pursuing scholarship options at Pfeiffer University in the US and also California State University, Fullerton, focusing on business administration. He says he would love to play football professionally, but knows he has to have a career that he can fall back on. Nathan is looking outward, first to get the best training possible and then come back to Trinidad and Tobago to support the national team. He says some of the key players on the national team are players who got called back to help build a better team, so that is the approach he wants to pursue. Nathan also enjoys the management part of the team and motivating his teammates to do their best. Nathan’s OMG moment occurred when he was playing a match against Arima North Secondary and he got involved in a “jam” with one of the players. For those who do not know, a “jam” is when two players are running for the ball and hit the ball and each other at the same time – 50/50. He and his opponent collided so hard the sound literally echoed around the Larry Gomes Stadium. The other player fell to the ground but Nathan ran off with the ball. He said the crowd went “Woooooooooh!” He felt good. It was a memorable OMG moment for him.

Do you like Amy Jackson’s
Cleopatra style? The babe posted a picture of hers on microblogging site Twitter and we think she looks gorgeous in that cool Egyptian style. Amy Jackson who starred in Ekk Deewana Tha opposite Prateik recently posted a very fashionable picture of hers on Twitter. The babe may not be doing a lot of Bollywood films due to her not-sogreat acting credentials, but her style choices are spot on. She looked like an Egyptian goddess in that black and red one-piece, and the gladiator style cuff looked cool. The smoky eye make-up, the golden nail-polish and the front bangs is something Amy carried with supreme confidence. We like the detailing on the one-piece and the leather material used on the bust area. In social networking language, this picture is definitely a ‘hit worthy’ image. Her Cleopatra style is raising temperatures and how!

Sachin Tendulkar
Sachin Tendulkar to make
his television debut! The master blaster will be a part of an animated adventure television series for kids. Cricketers and movies don’t go well together considering the fact that any cricketer who has tried his hand at acting has failed
miserably at it. But with Sachin Tendulkar, we know it’s going to be different. The ace cricketer will be playing himself in an animated television
series titled Master Blasters that will run for 26 episodes. In the series, Sachin will be seen mentoring a group of little boys on behalf of an all powerful body called The Programme for International Training of Cricket Heroes or PITCH. He will be teaching the kids at a futuristic cricket pitch that can fly anywhere! And like all stories, this
one has a villain too named Peter, who will challenge Sachin to a cricket match. The TV series will be in 3D. Well, wethinks this could work well considering Sachin won’t be acting in it. All of that will be done by his animated avatar which will make it a safe bet!

SHAKIRA: My Ex Ain’t Getting $100m From Me The $100 million lawsuit Shakira’s ex-lover filed against her is a joke because he has next to nothing to do with her mega-stardom – this according to Shakira, who’s refusing to give him a dime. Shakira’s firing back at Antonio de la Rua who filed a suit against her in NYC ... claiming he was her manager during their 11-year courtship, scored lucrative music deals for her, and is owed a big chunk of her earnings.
SHAKIRA
But in legal documents, Shakira says she was already an international star when she met Antonio in 2000 ... and even though she let him advise her on some decisions – he was NEVER her manager and they NEVER signed anything stating he was. In her filing, Shakira claims the only thing they did sign was a 2006 agreement in her native Colombia – which made it clear they’d each keep their own assets if they split. Shakira wants Antonio’s lawsuit dismissed ASAP.

SNOOP LION: Rap & Gay DON’T MIX Snoop Lion believes homosexuality and rap music are like Lindsay Lohan and sobriety ... they just don’t mix. Snoop – a known supporter of same-sex marriage in America – was asked by The Guardian if Frank Ocean coming out last year would pave the way for other gay rappers.
Snoop Lion
Snoop said we shouldn’t hold our breath, explaining “Frank Ocean ain’t no rapper. He’s a singer. It’s acceptable in the singing
world, but in the rap world I don’t know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine.” He continued, “It’s like a football team. You can’t be in a locker room full of motherf----g tough-ass dudes, then all of a sudden say, ‘Hey, man, I like you.’ You know, that’s going to be tough.” But Snoop made it clear – it’s the nature of the biz, not him – adding, “I don’t have a problem with gay people. I got some gay homies.”
Hundreds of Thousands of Bangladeshis Want Death for Blasphemous Bloggers People in Bangladesh are calling for the death penalty for any blogger that insults Islam. On Saturday, about 200,000 protestors marched in the capital city of Dhaka, and shouted slogans like “God is great – hang the atheist bloggers,” according to Al Jazeera.
Two people were killed in the protests when the larger group of fundamentalists from the Hefajat-e-Islam group clashed with the more moderate protesters. While the size of the protests is unprecedented, the tension is nothing new. Conservative Bangladeshis have been criticising the media ever since a group of bloggers began a campaign to get members of the country’s largest political
party tried for war crimes dating back to the 1971 genocide that left one million or more Bangladeshis dead. While many think an anti-blasphemy law mandating the death penalty has little chance of passing in Bangladesh, that hasn’t stopped the government from arresting journalists for saying anything that’s perceived as anti-Islam.

Chris Brown and Rihanna
Chris Brown and Rihanna
Call It Quits, Says Source We can finally close the cluttered chapter of our Rihanna and Chris Brown scrapbooks, because it’s officially over...for now. A source has confirmed the couple’s split after a tireless frenzy of arethey-or-aren’t-they tailchasing. The source says, RiRi will always love Chris but has moved on and is reshifting her focus to her career and business ventures. Currently running the final legs of her international Diamonds tour while spending solo time with her “mini tour family” and conceptualizing new creative ideas for future shows, the superstar is also working toward launching a new perfume and continuing with her ongoing fashion campaigns. There is reportedly no other man in the Barbadian beauty’s life. As photos surface of Breezy’s night out with a mysterious blonde in NYC, RiRi appears to be flying solo in the west coast: Rihanna was spotted courtside at the L.A. Lakers vs. L.A. Clippers game on Sunday sporting a bold and quirky outfit, consisting of an oversize jersey tee, graphic sweatpants and sky-high white heels. And to further push the fashion boundaries, her look was accessorised with a thick collar chain and vampish lipstick. Good to know single Ri is still a risk-taker.
Grandmother arrested for allegedly Hiring grandson to murder his own grandfather
A 64-year-old woman in Chicago was arrested and charged with hiring her grandson to murder her husband. Police say Janet Strickland hired her 19-year-old grandson, William Strickland, to gun down her husband, also named William Strickland, in part because she was “sick” of him and in part because she, as his sole beneficiary, wanted his money. William Strickland Jr., who was arrested and charged with first degree murder on March 30, allegedly shot his grandfather six times from behind as the elder Strickland was on his way to his dialysis appointment. According to reports, Janet Strickland generously rewarded her grandson for killing his grandfather. Afterward, Janet Strickland – a beneficiary of her husband’s savings – bought her grandson a car and home furnishings, prosecutors said. The younger Strickland also allegedly bought himself tattoos, gym shoes and a new phone. … Mario Farmer, 50, said he saw the younger Strickland with a new red car about two weeks after the shooting. At one point the young man was putting in a new sound system with a group of friends, said Farmer, who lives two doors down from the family. “He was hooking it up, but I was surprised he had it so quick because he wasn’t working,” Farmer said.
The alleged hit had been in the works for some time, according to prosecutors. Assistant State Attorney Jacqueline Kwilos said Janet Strickland and her grandson “discussed on numerous occasions killing the victim. [Janet Strickland] stated numerous times to her grandson that she was sick of his grandfather and that she wanted her husband dead. She stated she wished he was not here and she wanted him gone.” In the months prior to the shooting, the younger Strickland had been living with his grandfather. He was charged with first degree murder and armed robbery; he was denied bail. His grandmother was also charged with first degree murder and armed robbery. Her bail was set at $500,000.

Wiz Khalifa:
‘Lil Bash &
Big Bash’
“Lil Bash & Big Bash,” new dad Wiz Khalifa captioned the above precious pic via Instagram. Proud mom Amber Rose joined in the fun and shared some shots of their six-week-old son Sebastian “The Bash” Taylor Thomaz. “Like father like son,” she captioned a photo via Instagram of their son sporting marijuana-themed socks. In a series of photos, it seems the rapper is staying true to his word. “Of course, I’m not going to be smoking right there over the baby, because smoke in general and being high is not good for a kid,” Wiz said of continuing his marijuana use once the baby arrives.
He added: “None of that. But definitely he’s going to know what it is—and he’ll know the difference between being a child and not being able to use it and being an adult and knowing how to use it.” And Amber went on to support her man. “It’s just like alcohol, basically,” she said. “That’s how I feel about it, you know. When you’re a kid, you know that you’re not supposed to drink alcohol, that it’s for adults and that’s it. She added: “Our son is just going to know that daddy likes to smoke.”

RAPE SURVIVORS Want Reebok
to Deliver Rick Ross’ Head Reebok supports date rape by supporting Rick Ross ... that’s the way a leading women’s group and scores of rape survivors see it. UltraViolet – a women’s rights group that’s about 400,000 strong – is incensed the company is not dumping Ross in the wake of his new song which fantasises about date rape. The song – “U.O.E.N.O.” – has a line, “Put Molly all in the champagne. She ain’t even know it. I took her home and I enjoy that. She ain’t even know it.” Molly is slang for Ecstasy. UltraViolet – along with 150 rape survivors – grouses, “Every single day that Reebok continues rewarding Rick Ross with a lucrative endorsement deal, Reebok is condoning rape.” Ross issued a lukewarm apology, saying the lyrics were misunderstood and he never used the word rape. Sometimes you don’t have to use the word, when the thought is clear.
