I am bi-polar young woman – was diagnosed at 14. Long story short, I quit using my medicine because I didn’t want to buy it anymore. My boyfriend and I took a vacation to Las Vegas last week for five days. I had started to get really irritable and bitchy due to not being on my medication anymore.

Pursue interests you enjoy; don’t only sign up for activities in the hope of hooking up.

See which bookstores in your area offer readings, lectures, and/ or live bands that you can enjoy while having a coffee and pastry. Look online for dozens of event listings in your hometown.
Prepare a picnic, go to a park or river, plan a hike or bike ride, or visit the zoo.

Call museums and art galleries for current and upcoming exhibits. Many offer reduced prices or a free day during the week.

How to Eat for a Good Night’s Sleep Be kind to your tummy so it will leave you alone when you want to rest. You are getting very sleepy -- or soon will if you learn how to overcome insomnia with the sleeping tips in this Howcast video series about better sleep. STEP 1 Give yourself time to digest FOOD
Eat no less than four hours before turning in. Avoid any before-bed snacks, especially grains and sugars.
STEP 2 Digest high protein
Digest high-protein food, such as meat, fish, greens, and eggs, late in the day. The amino acid L-tryptophan, which these provide, will release melatonin and serotonin for good sleep.
STEP 3 Calm the mind
Include dairy products, broccoli, chickpeas, nuts, and seeds in your meal a few hours before bed to elevate calcium and magnesium levels. Research shows that calcium and magnesium calm the mind.
TIP - Always avoid alcohol and caffeine before bed, or entirely, as these can disrupt sleep. STEP 4 Eat salad with fruit
Eat salads with fruits, such as apples or pears, which are known to calm the digestive system.
STEP 5 Use comfort foods
Consume comfort foods like chicken soup that encourage fond memories and make you happy and restful.
TIP - Eating a light and healthy diet will keep your weight down and guard against sleep apnea. STEP 6 Drink tea
Drink chamomile tea with ginger before going to bed to aid and settle your digestive system. Warm milk can be a sleep aid as well.

Enter a fortress of solitude -- research shows that low-level distractions can make a task feel boring. We are sure you can still hear this one in your head: “Pass me ah drink ah yuh rum, ah drink ah yuh rum” and you must have heard the name Fya Empress throughout the Carnival season. Well, team OMG met up with the very vivacious and spirited lady and had a chat. First off, the correct name of her song is “Rum Please” and she is a born and bred Vincentian who is married to a Tobagonian. Fya Empress stepped into the soca and calypso arena in 2007, when she decided to hit the hotels in Tobago and do covers of popular songs. After many kudos and encouragement from her fans to take her talent further she decided to try her hand at soca and calypso because she felt it was her culture and her roots. In 2007 she wrote her first song called “My Kinda Man”. That song got her to the semi finals of the Soca Monarch competition in Trinidad. She won the Calypso Monarch title three times in Tobago and she is a Vincentian road march winner and she took second place in the St Vincent Soca Monarch contest. She has done shows in London, Canada and a few of the islands in the Caribbean, but always feels if you are not on the main stage in Trinidad you are nowhere in this business. This year has been her biggest year in Carnival yet. Besides the many fetes she performed in, Fya Empress also made it to the Soca Monarch Finals, sharing the stage with Trinidad and Tobago’s best and she is most pleased and happy to be on the same playing field as these greats. The Empress wanted us to know that David Reid or Mr Fusion, as he is known, is her husband and manager and is the man working behind the scenes to make everything happen for her. You may be surprised to know that “Rum Please” was released way back in 2012 and won her the road march in St Vincent and second place in Soca Monarch in 2012 there. Fya Empress says the sky is the limit. She always wants to top her last effort and keep doing better each year, so she is excited about the future and about Carnival 2014. Fya Empress’s OMG moment happened on Calypso Monarch night 2012 in St Vincent. She had placed second the night before in the Soca Monarch show there. When she heard the announcer say, “the Calypso Queen for St Vincent and The Grenadiens - Fya Empress”, she could not believe it. She was extremely proud and happy.

Israel Silva 23, San Juan
The OMG team was delighted to meet Israel at his home in San Juan. He is a confident young man and you can feel his excitement about his work. Israel comes from a very creative family and is happy to be following his passions and making a living from them. He is a freelance graphic artist and currently is into digital painting, focusing with photo-realistic painting with his computer. He likes doing people’s portraits and digital paintings of families as gifts for birthdays and anniversaries or as keepsakes. Israel says although he loves digital work he also does many jobs with real canvas and paint. He says he has always been surrounded by art, thanks to his father and grandfather. He says they have very artistic blood flowing through their veins and he and his four brothers have followed in their footsteps. Israel is also very involved in television production and animation and has formed a company with his brothers and friends called Liquid Matter Studios, which he says is responsible for some of the best animation in the Caribbean. He was told this by an artist from US animation giant Pixar who was in Trinidad for the recent Anime Caribe - the Caribbean Animation Festival. He also works as a story board artist and animator for the Viscuna Brothers, which is a television and commercial production company and just happens to be owned by other family members who are part of the long line of creative influences he has grown up around. He admires the work of visual artist Laura Ferreira and would love the opportunity to collaborate with her some day. Israel’s OMG moment happened when this guy came up to him while he was on set at a video shoot. The guy saw his story boards and told him that he was really talented and he should check out this group of artists whom he thinks is the best in the country. So Israel asked what was the name of those guys. The man said they were are called “some Liquid something”. He said to the man, “you mean Liquid Matter?” The man said, “yes, that’s it”. So he laughed and explained that he was part of that team. He felt it was so cool that people knew about their work and yet didn’t know them.

Antonnecier James 17, Arouca
Antonnecier is an energetic and confident young lady who has always loved sports. She has played many different sports including football, hockey, netball and volleyball. However her main sports are swimming, football and athletics. She has been focusing on her running for some time now because she wants to get a scholarship to one of the US universities for athletics. She is in form six right now and is preparing for her SAT which is due soon. Antonnecier said she was introduced to track and field in form one, before which she was heavily into swimming. She says she is very competitive and played many different sports and excelled in them but track and field was her top choice. She wants to make it on the international stage for Trinidad and Tobago. She credits the influence of her father’s sporting background and the commitment and encouragement of her mother for motivating her to always do better and, of course, her brother. She says in 2010 she was at the peak of her sporting career thus far but was injured just before the Carifta Games. Because of that injury she was unable to compete in the games or do intense training for almost a year. The most painful part for her is that she was so close. However she is back now, doing the work to make it to Carifta this year. Her long term goal is to make it to the 2016 Olympics. When we asked Antonnecier what gets her excited, she says knowing what her future is going to be like. She says she can see clearly in her head what a great athlete she is going to be and she is excited about that every day. She says with the support of her parents and brother she can make anything happen. Her OMG moment is also set in her future when she sees herself on the Olympic podium receiving a medal and the crowd cheering and she is being celebrated by many. “That is the OMG moment that will be happening to me.”

Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifia Will Welcome Baby Via Water Birth Amber and Wiz have been doing their baby research, and they decided they don’t want to deliver their baby at a hospital after all — they want an at-home delivery! As Amber Rose, 29, Wiz Khalifa, 25, prepare to welcome their first baby, they are planning to take a more hands-on approach with the delivery when the big day comes. After watching the documentary The Business of Being Born, the couple decided on their unconventional delivery method. “Thx @RickiLake 4 making ‘The Business of Being Born’ it changed my life & I’m looking forward 2 my home water birth wish me luck!” Amber tweeted on February 2. Ricki Lake, who executive- produced the film, welcomed her second son Owen via a water birth. The documentary follows different pregnant women and their at-home deliveries. According to AmericanPregnancy. org, water births are when the mother goes through labour in a tub of water then gets out to give birth. Also, the mother may choose to give birth in the tub. Instead of a doctor, midwives and doulas are present to help the couple deliver their baby.
In an interview with L.A. radio show Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Wiz said, “We gonna have a midwife and a doula at the crib, and she’s gonna be in a pool, and it’s gonna be like a relaxing environment, and when she’s ready she’s gonna tell me when to stick my hands down there and I’m gonna pull the baby out.” He also revealed that he can’t wait to be a dad. “I’m excited, I’m ready,” he continued. “I mean I’m nervous too, but it’s a good nervous. It’s not like a confused nervous, like, ‘What do I do?’” “I don’t want no medication,” Amber Rose said during the radio interview. “We take home birthing classes to teach us how to do it, and we’re gonna have our midwife, and when the baby’s head comes out, he’s gonna be Dr. Wiz. He’s gonna be the first person to touch the child. No doctors, no gloves.”

100 albums in 1 year Yet he considers this feat as just a stepping stone to the next goal: selling 100 albums in one calendar year, according to MTV. Intent on bringing the experience of flight to the underwater realm, French designer Guillaume Binard partnered with Aqua Lung to create Oceanwings, a wetsuit inspired by skydiving wingsuits. Free-diver Pierre Frolla demonstrates the wetsuit in this video by Jerôme Espla. There’s no word on whether Oceanwings are planned for production.
Birdman has 48 acts under his umbrella and wants to keep the records coming out. “The goal is to keep developing and keep putting out, so to do that we have to keep buckling down, grindin’ hard and stayin’ focused. And that’s a big challenge, to put a hundred out,” Birdman said. “Everybody that’s doin’ this — outside of who we done rocked with — is really an enemy to me. So

Sean Paul’s Ex-Girlfriend Sues For $80 Million, Writes Embarrassing Tell-All Reggae superstar Sean Paul is learning that hell truly hath no fury like a woman scorned. He is being sued by his ex-girlfriend for a whopping $80 million. He is claiming the singer starved her, had her forcibly deported, and pushed her to commit suicide. Sean Paul’s ex-lover Susan Persson alleges Sean Paul “bribed Jamaican police” to have her removed from Jamaica and sent back to her home country of Sweden when they broke up in 2010. Things get interesting when it comes to her supporting evidence. Along with filing legal documents in a Manhattan court (She filed in New York because his record company is here.), she presented a 120-page book, “Irie Jamboree: My life in Jamaica as a jet set slave with the enormous secret of a love affair with Jamaica’s perhaps most well-known Dancehall Artist,” that details their relationship. The Grammy winner’s ex also submitted an American Airlines itinerary from Kingston, Jamaica to Stockholm, Sweden on June 24, when she filed the lawsuit. Sean Paul’s promoters, Headline Entertainment, made the plane reservation. She also claims once she got to her flight, immigration officers forced her to board the plane. Sean Paul’s attorney’s responded to the allegations with, “He would not have the power to do that.” Susan Persson also maintains that the night before she was to leave Jamaica, she attempted suicide because of Sean Paul. Persson’s documents stated, “I had tried to kill myself, losing more than one litre of blood from a cut on my wrist.” Susan Persson is suing Sean Paul for $80 million on the grounds she was subjected to “starvation, homelessness, repeated suicide attempts, loss of ability to generate income.” What do you think about this new lawsuit?
