HOTTY
Kervin Samuel 21, Morvant
What are three things you like about yourself and why? My personality, because I am an easy person to talk to, I am friendly and people around me can relax and enjoy themselves. I am a very active person, I love sports and playing basketball, football, running. I would love to try tennis some day. The third thing about me is I love to cook because I really love my belly so I learned to cook. I am good with macaroni pie, stew chicken, stew pork anything.
What is your OMG moment?
“One night I went to this party and I saw this best reds, a lovely, sweet, short, nice thing and the way she was dancing really caught my eyes. We started talking, we danced, we spent the whole evening together that night was my OMG night.” PHOTOGRAPHY | Stephen Doobal

NOOO!!
So I randomly got on my dad’s computer and started scrolling through family photos. Then I saw pictures of my parents naked. I totally get that married couples do that and I’ve seen porn before, but when it’s your parents it’s just awkward.
I WANT
MORE
For the love of
porn
I’m on to porn. I’m watching porn two days a week. I want to stop but I can’t. I can’t control myself anymore. Help please.
REGRET!
I don’t love you anymore I have been checking my ex’s Facebook page at least twice a week. We’ve broken up for a year and a half and I have been in a really good relationship. I don’t love him anymore but I don’t know why I still care about what he has to say or what he is doing.
best friend She is adorably petite, with what I can imagine are spectacular breasts. She’s a big tease though, and has been telling me for years I’ll see them sometime when we’re all drunk. I don’t want to do anything with her, I just want to see her naked.
I know... I KNOW for a fact that my boyfriend has cheated on me at least three times but I stay with him because he’s brilliant with our daughter and I don’t want her to hate me one day for walking out on her dad.
My wife’s
I am a 21-year-old wife. I feel really bad and embarrassed saying this but I need to let it out. I am constantly horny. It doesn’t matter if I just had sex or used a vibrator, I want more. My husband seems to have a low sex drive which drives me crazy. I have become so sexually frustrated I am contemplating divorce but what woman gets divorced from not being sexually satisfied or not having enough sex? I’m not sure what else I can do to make him have more sex.
Dear God, I beg you for forgiveness for my sick and awful thoughts about my stepson. Please make him better and take the evil out of my head and heart and soul. I do love him and accept him in my life.

Flirt Scientifically
Avoid
STEP 1Smile!
If you’re a woman with your eye on a particular guy, smile at him. According to research, a man finds a woman who smiles directly at him significantly more attractive than a woman who looks at him without smiling.
Tip - Body language like hairflipping and liplicking can also be effective. STEP 2 Get some groupies
If you’re a guy on the make, have a few female friends on hand who are willing to beam adoringly at you now and then. One study found that women are likely to find a man more attractive if they see other women smiling at him.
STEP 3 Buy them a drink
Buy the object of your desire a drink. The phenomenon known as “beer goggles” may be scientifically true: in one experiment, people who had been drinking found faces of the opposite sex 25 percent more attractive than their sober counterparts did, because alcohol stimulates the part of the brain we use to determine facial attractiness.
STEP 4 Make it about them
Make the conversation all about them -- ask questions, show interest in their answers, use their name, laugh at their jokes, and flatter them. Psychologists who’ve studied flirting say if you can make someone feel good about themselves, they’ll feel good about you.
STEP 5 Demonstrate open mindedness
Let them change your mind about something. According to one researcher, people on a date find a person who agrees with them more attractive than a person who disagrees with them, but they find someone who switches positions to agree with them the most attractive of all.
Date Rape STEP 1 Don’t be alone with him
Research shows date rapists plan their attacks, and most don’t occur on the first date. Since date rapists bide their time, don’t be alone with a new guy until you really know him.
Tip - Be wary of that male friend who has a crush on you. Thirtyeight percent of women who were sexually assaulted by someone they knew described the guy as a friend. STEP 2 Pay your own way
Interviews with date rapists reveal that many believe the woman “owed” them sex for the money the men had spent on them. So pay your own way--at least until you know you can trust your date.
STEP 3 Stay sober
Stay sober. Alcohol is involved in 90% of campus date rapes, often because the predator has plied a woman with booze so he can take advantage of her more easily.
STEP 4 Watch your drink
Protect yourself from date rape drugs. If a guy buys you a cocktail, watch the bartender make it. Keep it with you at all times--or have a friend watch it. Don’t accept a cup of punch or a swig from a bottle.
STEP 5 Trust your gut
Trust your gut. Many date rape survivors say that they had a bad feeling before the attack. If something feels wrong, get out of the situation and/or ask for help.
Tip - Abandon a drink that looks or tastes funny. Red flags include a salty taste or a cloudy or foamy residue.

TRIBE: Breaking the
Ice for Carnival 2013! On the scene | Ian M. S. Royer
One of the most anticipated fetes to start the Carnival season, TRIBE Ice, did not disappoint us. While the fete turnout was at full capacity the logistical talents of Ultimate Events kept us feeling cool, calm and ready to wine. A time was had by all of the patrons, the Punchy Punch Girls were also in full swing (what a delightful concoction that’s turning out to be), right along with Nuphoric (AKA Patrick) hyping up the crowd. What got our waist lines going were the performances by Kes, Saucy Wow, Lyrikal and Ravi B. Each act masterfully moved the crowd with their 2013 contributions, with impressive vocal work and
showmanship which definitely got everyone past the restrained Christmas spirit and into full-fledged Carnival mode. The man of the night, we must proclaim, was Bunji and his performance of “Differentology”. With that line, “We ready for the road!” The crowd was electrified, responding with an enthusiastic “YES!” Judging from his performance and the almost palpable hunger from the crowd to hit the road hard we think that Bunji might well be winning some crowns in 2013. All in all we give TRIBE and Ultimate Events kudos for a successful event. If they put this much energy into a cooler fete – we think a treat is in store for us at One Fete! Our OMG moment of the night – the Supligen. That was a rare treat amidst all the interesting things in our cooler!

One Night
of Surprises On the scene | Ian M. S. Royer
We decided to go early to this one because a little birdie told us the food tent would be great. We were not disappointed! While the DJ brought us up to speed with the latest soca (and after our bellies were full of just about all the food we could put our hands on), we took a tour of the venue. The Ultimate Events team did it again; the transformation of the Jean Pierre Complex was amazing! The use of colour and the clever ways they incorporated the sponsors into the flow of the venue was great. We really loved the modern design of the stage – and the strategic location of the bars – everywhere. Let’s talk performances. You all know we are Kes the Band lovers but this time we wanted more in the performance. It was simply too long and drawn out. We appreciate what the Isle of Kes is
trying to do but it could have been done faster. The DJs did a great job reinvigorating the crowd before they brought on Machel . Say what you want about this man but boy can he perform! He took us down memory lane with some of his past hits, then brought on Farmer Nappy who commanded the audience masterfully. The diva of the night was Patrice Roberts. Congratulations to whoever is styling her because she looked GREAT! A little wine never hurt anybody – by the time she was done with us there were no little wines anywhere in the fete. We were treated to Machel’s new song for the road – “Float” – and honestly we need to hear it some more. It has potential to grow on you though. It was Drupatee Ramgoonai who fogged up the place with Montano; they were simply incredible. No “Larki” was safe from being “Wuk Up”. It was pure madness everywhere. What we want to know is, “Mr Montano, what is the real deal with that kiss you gave Drupatee?” All in all, great food and great performances brewed One Fete into one great vibe! Our OMG Moment: Drupatee jumping up around Machel’s waist to show the crowd how to “Wuk Up”.

The OMG Magazine is very proud to have soca icon Destra Garcia as the first artiste we feature in our all-new digital issue of the magazine. We sat down with Destra at our home base to have a chat while her make-up was being done by her mega fan and make-up artiste, Mario Francis. You’ve experienced many Carnival seasons. What is different about this one? This soca season is not so different, but it has been a long time we have not had such a short season. The major difference is the length, the intensity, the short time in which you have to make so much happen, all at the same time. Nothing stops and before you blink it’s all over. How long have you been involved in soca? People ask me that and it is always difficult to pinpoint a time, because I have been singing since the age of 10. In 1999, while in high school, I sang on the Third Base track “Ah Have a Man Already” which was a runaway hit and in the year 2000 I joined Roy Cape, so that was the first time people started to see me on stage. So you can say it’s about 14 years now. After all those years of hard work, trials and many blessings, how does Destra feel today? (With a big chuckle) Stressed… Because I have my own band. I have to always be innovative, whether it’s my style or the music or just dealing with the business itself without even putting a single song on the radio. It is always a challenge. Being a woman too, it has its challenges in the business daily. So it’s a lot of stress if you think about it. I think I handle it very well considering. I have to put on this iron fist and iron chest. That’s where the stress comes from but I try not to externalise. These days, I am internalising a lot.
Take a listen to Destra’s first hit with 3rd Bass
You have re-entered the competition. Tell us about that? Pressure! Is Carnival pressure especially when you have to compete. For six years I have been out of competition, but I have recognised if you are not in competition, for some strange reason, your music does not go all the way. Especially the last two weeks of Carnival. Everybody is focusing on who is in the competition, what songs they like, which song is the better one. People are still trying to figure out who they like for the Road March. It is a lot of activity surrounding the major competitions, so I decided to go back in, but it’s not like I expect anything. Of course everyone entering wants to win, but I try, again, to internalise more than just be competitive. I just compete by being the best I can be at that point and enjoy the entire experience as much as I can, because it’s a wonderful stage to be on. Tell us something that people don’t know about you? I don’t think people know how spiritual I am. I fast every year after Carnival, with my family. It’s not like a fast where I’m not going to eat meat, I’m not going to do this or the other. It’s mostly a six to six fast where I stay away from food for 40 days. It’s a ritual that my family and I have been doing for years, even before

I started singing soca. Because my family is deeply spiritual. My parents do accept the fact that I have to be my own person, but they are the foundation and base I can return to when I’m stressed out, lose my way, lose focus or even to keep me grounded. I think a lot of people don’t know that about me… that I pray a lot and my true inspiration and focus comes from the Almighty, especially because of the type of performer I am. Of all the songs you’ve done, do you have a favourite and why? I love all my material differently, but I am partial to the ones people lose their minds over. Those are the ones you enjoy the most. The whole idea of being an entertainer, an artiste on stage, is because you want to be appreciated for your work, your writing, your performance, just everything that you do. You are creating with the hope that someone appreciates your work. So when you do a song and you start singing and somebody says “Oh God, Ah love this” or scream or lose their mind, those songs are the songs that stand out for me and I am lucky to have more than 10 of those, that I really love. What have you discovered about being a mother? I have learned how to love unconditionally and I have learned serious patience. My daughter is very independent. She already knows herself, what she wants, and she is very determined. So I have to have a lot of patience. I can’t pull my hair out every second even though I want
to. She just turned three on Monday, so she is a Capricorn and if you know about signs, you know that she does not take no for an answer. I feel that also comes from me. I look at her and I see myself a lot, which I am proud of, but I can only now appreciate what my mother must have gone through with me. Being a mom is wonderful. I love it. I cannot see myself not being a mother and before my baby I couldn’t see myself as a mother. I think I want another child, not right now, not this week, but at some point another child would be nice. How do you feel about Soca Monarch? Well, Soca Monarch will always be Soca Monarch. It’s the largest stage for Carnival and it’s growing immensely year after year. It’s where you are going to find all the happening songs, unless someone makes a conscious decision not to enter or partake in it. So I go on stage and I do my best. For me Soca Monarch is a performance, so I go out there to always do my best, to perform and to entertain my fans. That’s what Soca Monarch is to me. Hey! and there is money to be won, so you can always take that money and invest in yourself, in your craft, your marketing. That is the added bonus. What makes Destra happy? Praying makes me happy, my daughter makes me happy, my family, friends and fans make me happy. Is your family large? Well, I am the first of four children. My parents are still together. They had two boys and two
girls. My brother has three daughters who are like my own. We always meet on Sundays. My mom cooks and everybody comes over. I grew up with my uncles, aunts and cousins because we all lived in one house in Laventille. However that house burnt down about a year ago. So everybody is now split up for the first time, but I always did have a very big extended family. Things Destra doesn’t like? I hate dirty bathrooms. I dislike people who don’t understand themselves and who are always in a daze, who make mountains out of molehills. They don’t look for solutions to their problems. They always create more problems. I hate negativity and negative people, because life is so short to be always spending time complaining or finding fault in ourselves and others when we should be thankful for what we are and who we are. I believe God created us all and there is always something great about you. Stop looking in the mirror and saying, “I doh like my hair, I doh like my face, I doh like my nose.” Be thankful, you are unique, whether your nose big like a whatever. There is nobody with a nose like yours. Celebrate it, enjoy it. If you have a bobo on your foot enjoy it. That’s your bobo. Embrace yourself, love yourself. Is there anything in particular you want to share? Yes! I do want people to know, I really love my fans, in a genuine way. It’s not just about Carnival time and people supporting you then, but my fans keep me going all through the year,
through every journey in my life, whatever I’m doing. Then there are my true friends, who I can count on one hand, and my band who are also my family. I also have friends who are not friends but more like my family. I just want to say to all the people that support me, “I LOVE YOU!” It’s not something you get the chance to say a lot, so I want to use this opportunity to let them know that I appreciate everything they do for me and I love them. You know we must ask, what is Destra’s OMG moment? When I actually had to give birth to my daughter and I felt that hot pain, yes hot. For the first time… I was like “ohhhh… my…. God! I cannot do this”. That was a serious one. But I have another one… When I was performing in Miami once, I brought this guy on stage, but I did not want him to wine or anything… he was just supposed to be there and enjoy himself. But he got upset because he wanted to wine, and he pulled my top down. I was wearing a strapless tube top, I was not wearing a bra and he pulled it down and my boobs were out. That was an OMG moment for the crowd. It became an OMG moment for me because my father was backstage and this was the first time I took him on tour with me. So I was like “Oh my God my father will probably think this is what happens in every concert”. So there... OMG!

artistof the week
Camille Harding The OMG team met up with artist Camille Harding at her studio in Belmont. Camille considers her art studio more like a science lab. There she experiments with colours, textures, materials, ideas and inspiration to create art. She is also well known for her
Mille wearable art – bangles and bracelets, chains and earrings – made from all types of materials, from paper right back to metals of all kinds.
Camille says, “people think that artists daydream and say, ‘oh wow, let me be creative today’. But no, it does not work like that. I get up every morning and
there is a plan with allotted times for various things. I make jewelry so I have my time for that, then I paint so I have the time of the day for that, I draw so there is also time for that. There must be structure to the day so I can achieve the things that I want to.” As we walked around her studio there were many pieces at different stages of completion. Her art is very connected to her environment and her experiences.
It is all very Trinbagonian in flavour and very personal. Camille is preparing for her exhibition featuring 1,000 pieces of her work.
Visit her art studio open every Saturday from 11am to 6pm. She can be contacted at 868-758-4746 or camillo16758@yahoo.com, to arrange a visit.

Luke De Caires 19, Maraval, Tennis
Luke is one of Trinidad and Tobago’s promising young tennis players. At present he is trying out at colleges in the US to earn himself a scholarship. Asked what he feels would give him the edge in achieving that goal, he says he knows what the coaches are looking for. “They want somebody who tries 100 per cent, who is well rounded, down to earth, who listens, is easy to work with, disciplined and focused and I am all of that and more.” One of Luke’s biggest games thus far was when he played the Davis Cup last July. He felt proud to not only represent Trinidad and Tobago but he won his first match in doubles there. One of his other memorable moments was when he played Junior Davis Cup, in the under-16 category. “It was a really big tournament for me because I probably played the best tennis I ever played in my career to that point. The match was in the Dominican Republic and I was representing Trinidad and Tobago. That felt really special, because when you are out there you are not Luke De Caires. You are representing Trinidad and Tobago, so I had to try my best and keep fighting. I did not want to let my country down so I gave it all I had. I was actually down 2-5 in the third set, triple match point, and I came back and won the match and tied it one-all for the team. That was a real big match for me.” When asked about his future Luke says “Representing Trinidad and Tobago in men’s tennis and becoming a geophysicist”. For those of you who do not know what a geophysicist does, Luke clears it up. “They survey the earth with seismic waves to find oil pockets and water reservoirs, natural gas etc. they are the guys large oil companies hire to make the big finds.” When asked about his biggest daily challenge Luke says it has to be balancing school and tennis. “You see, I did not pick the easiest subjects to do. I picked, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Calculus, AP Calculus, Advanced Function and also play tennis two and a half hours a day for six days a week. It can become challenging, but once you have a clear goal in your head and you are determined, you will make it.” Luke’s OMG moment happened in the Dominican Republic. “Breaking that six-year record for a Trinidadian under-16 male reaching the semifinals and coming in third in the JITIC , Central America & Caribbean tennis tournament, that was one of my big OMG moments.”

the RACE is on
The three stalwarts of Bollywood entertainment is back again with “Race 2”, a sequel to the immensely successful “Race” of 2008. Set in the lush locales of Europe, the fast-paced romantic thriller, with a lot of action and passion takes forward the story of 2008’s blockbuster “Race”. “Race 2” boasts of the biggest
ensemble star cast for any movie in recent times! “Race 2”, which stars Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, and Ameesha Patel is already grabbing eyeballs. Ever since the promo of the film hit the Internet two weeks ago, the response has been overwhelming! It has garnered over 2.5 million views in less than four days. The first Blockbuster movie for 2013, “Race 2” premiered on January 23 at Movietowne cinemas in Port of Spain and Chaguanas and continues daily!
Deepika, daughter of badminton champion, Prakash Padukone, grew up into a sultry model The girl who has her head firmly placed over her shoulder has films like “Om Shanti Om”, “Bachna Ae Haseeno”, “Love Aajkal”, as well as upcoming films “Race 2” and “Chennai Express” to her credit. Be it endorsements, big production houses queuing up at her door, or her brea- up with Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika is always in the news! Deepika Padukone’s father the well known badminton player Prakash Padukone has a unique way of encouraging his daughter. Justin Bieber’s
got back flashes his rear for Instagram photo
Shakira welcomes baby boy! And his name is...
The Colombian-born singer and her man, Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué, welcomed a son tonight in Barcelona, their first child together. The proud mamá revealed his name, Milan Piqué Mebarak, in a tweet, and then her camp helpfully filled us in on the meaning! “The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification,” read a statement on Shakira’s website. “Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth. The hospital confirmed that the couple’s first child weighed approximately 6 pounds, 6
ounces, and that both mother and child are in excellent health.” “I’d like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life. Shak,” Shakira had tweeted in both English and
Justin Bieber’s been caught with his pants down—and on purpose! The newly single 18-year-old posted a revealing photo of himself, er, his backside, via his Instagram. The “Beauty and the Beat” singer, donning a black tank top, sunglasses and a hat, posted a photo of himself revealing his lower half with a come-hither glance over the shoulder. Biebs later deleted the shot, but according to his manager Scooter Braun it was all in good fun.
Braun took to his own social media site, tweeting: “as a prankster u have to respect another good prank. only makes sense. #crackdealer.” To which the Biebs responded with a simple: “haha.” Do we sense a hint of sarcasm towards Bieber’s recent alleged blunt brouhaha?! Whatever the case, we know his fans will be over the moon about this. http://www.eonline.com/news/380301/ justin-bieber-s-got-back-flashes-his-rear-forinstagram-photo

BUNNY WAILER ACCUSES SNOOP LION OF EXPLOITING RASTAFARIAN CULTURE FOR PROFIT Bunny Wailer, an original member of Bob Marley and the Wailers, has spoken with TMZ about Snoop Dogg’s recent transformation into Snoop Lion, and he’s not pleased. Reacting to Snoop’s “Reincarnated” documentary, Bunny says Snoop is profiting from “outright fraudulent use of Rastafari community’s personalities and symbolism” and that he has failed to respect “contractual, moral and verbal commitments.” In addition to Bunny’s disapproval, a group called the Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council (aka Rastafari Millennium Council) wrote a letter to Snoop, pointing out that “smoking weed and loving Bob Marley and reggae music is not what defines the Rastafari Indigenous Culture!” They are looking for financial support and a public apology. In case you missed it, veteran rapper Snoop Dogg recently changed his name to Snoop Lion and started making reggae music. Check out “Lighters Up,” featuring Mavado and Popcaan to get a feel for what Snoop Lion is all about.
After the condom incident, why would Zac Efron flip out over a few sex shop photos? Hmmm. These reports about Zac Efron allegedly “freaking out” and chasing down a photographer who snapped his photo in New York sex shop Fantasy World make us want to slip on our Sherlock Holmes hat and get to the bottom of things. (Did you know those hats are called deerstalkers? No, really!) Let’s look at the evidence: Why would Zac be so perturbed to have his photo taken in a sex shop if he was allegedly there to film a scene for his upcoming film “Are We Officially Dating?” with Imogen Poots. Obviously he knows we will see him standing amid the sex toys on the big screen eventually. More importantly, Zac has already been snapped chilling next to some adult props when a fan posed with him and then-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens in 2008. Even more tellingly, Zac handled that incident with aplomb, laughing that his mother stuffed his
Christmas stocking with condoms. Zac Efron told the world about his mother giving him condoms! Does that sound like the kind of guy who would be squeamish about being seen near a few bottles of lube? We think not. According to Page Six, “Zac was begging the guy to delete the pictures. He kept telling him that he has so many young fans and he didn’t want them to see it.” While we acknowledge that famous people are rarely trying to get photographed next to a bunch of dildos, Zac’s true fans have already seen him get peed on by Nicole Kidman in this fall’s “The Paperboy”, which seems to suggest he isn’t particularly worried about appearing too mature. This is the same guy who dropped a condom on The Lorax red carpet, after all! And taught the world his bra-unhooking trick! And we’re supposed to believe he chased a man down for snapping him in a sex shop. We heartily doubt it. Ladies and gentleman of the jury, we rest our case! http://www.vh1.com/celebrity/2013-01-18/zac-efronchases-photographer-down-sex-shop-photos/
Bandit with hungry family cries, changes mind as he gets offer of pizza, chicken wings HELENA (AP) — A man who apparently summoned the courage to rob a Montana pizza restaurant changed his mind as the clerk started to hand him money, broke down crying and ended up leaving with a pizza to feed his hungry family. Helena Police Chief Troy McGee says just after midnight on Monday, a man
wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a bandanna on his face entered a Papa John’s restaurant and handed the clerk a note demanding money. The cashier started to comply, but then the man started crying and said he was just trying to provide for his family. The clerk offered to make a pizza and some chicken wings. The man waited while the food was cooked, then left on foot. A Papa John’s manager declined to comment
